PHANTOM OF THE OPERA #6 PORTRAIT PAINTINGS

Probably the very first two painting I did for the PotO project to see if I can capture the mood of the character with a painting. I originally looked into a lot of Mead Schaeffer’s paintings as reference for the whole project so thought I might as well do paintings that clearly shows what paintings I was basing off of. I later grabbed more movie screenshots(mainly for lighting and staging purpose) for reference and looked less into Mead Schaeffer.

Ang Malakas at ang Maganda

This is my entry for 4th year of Freeway’s Art Bag Design Contest. The first image is the line art, the second image is the actual entry, and the third image is the design applied on the bag.

My entry is entitled “Ang Malakas at ang Maganda”. The concept of the artwork is to portray a stronger and independent “Maganda” (based on the original myth of the Philippines - Si Malakas at si Maganda) like our Filipinas today. It shows the difference between how we look at Filipinas then and how we know them now. It conveys the pride that we have for our Filipinas for changing into the women that have the strength physically, mentally, and socially today.

This was one of my entries for Graphika Manila 2016 book. Sadly, it didn’t got selected to be featured. But it is still an achievement that I created an artwork that is close to being an actual concept art.

This artwork is for anyone who is trying to forget a memory or a person but you look at something from the past that reminds you of someone or something and it all comes back to you like a hurricane. P.S. this is a great song from the band Parachute.

This is my design for the 2015 Chatime Cup Design Competition with the theme “Spreading happiness in every cup.” last January 2016 as an extended deadline.

The mechanics were to create a design with a 3-color limitation and that includes the Chatime and Brand of the Year logo.

The Man from UNCLE movie poster

An alternative design of The Man from Uncle movie poster for Talenthouse’s contest last year. It portrays the character of Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin as enemies because of their countries’ conflict, but they have to work side by side to prevent a global catastrophe.
