They've also been starting twitter beef with the pope lately!
Today it hit me how much poor Sarah Everard has affected me. I was walking to the school to pick my daughter up and I have to walk passed a police station to get there, so I cross over the road before I get near it, but after I'd passed the station about the minutes later I noticed 2 male officers walking behind me. My anxiety instantly shot up, I felt instantly scared and stood still until they passed me. I never thought I'd be in a situation where I'd feel that way around police. 😩
I had the Oxford Astra Zeneka vaccine at 9:50am, so almost 6 hours ago. So far I feel absolutely fine. My arm hurts a bit, but other than that no bad symptoms, no mild cold symptoms yet. I've never had any kind of symptoms after a vaccine before but who knows with this one? So far so good.
I spoke too soon 😫😫😫

I'm getting my first covid vaccine tomorrow and I'm so excited!
This post contains menstruation information. Do not look if uncomfortable.
Day 10 of being back on my levothyroxine.
Day 4 of my first period since being back on my medication.
I'm not even kidding when I say this has been the easiest period I've had since forever. IBS symptoms have calmed down so this period has been far more relaxing and less....stinky. I'm truly fucking happy! It's been so much lighter too, I usually dread my periods because they suck but when I think back to before I had to stop my meds, they were super easy then too. So this pleases me. Yay for medication.
I do hope this fucks off by Monday though, mine don't last long, because I have my smear test booked for Monday and idk how I'd feel about getting a smear when I'm on.
Truly thankful to have these back!
First dose back tomorrow.
Got a telephone GP appointment for my thyroid function, kidney function and liver function blood tests tomorrow.
I've had problems getting a GP all pandemic because I moved to a totally new city in March just before lockdown hit and no doctors were not accepting new patients, I don't drive so couldn't attend my old one. So I've had no levothyroxine all pandemic and when I told my new GP that they were like "oh wow, I'll request kidney and liver tests too just to be sure everything is okay" which no gp has ever requested before, so I do like how thorough this one is.
I'm just glad I'll have my levo back tomorrow tbh.

Who’s my Superman? @BillyIdol DUH! It’s a nice day for a white wedding! 💒☠️
I make memes to call myself out
Up until now I've never taken my thyroid condition seriously in terms of diet. I've just eaten whatever with no thought to if its helping me or not, turns out a lot of food I eat reduces thyroid levels so I need to start changing that.
Does anyone else have anything I can add to these lists?
Any hypothyroidism sufferers who overheat?
I'm so used to seeing hypothyroidism sufferers who are cold 24/7 but for me it's opposite. I rarely wear coats in the winter because if I do, I'm sweaty as fuck. Summer? Don't even go there. Hate it. Absolutely hate it.
I need chat friends
I need someone to talk to on a regular basis (a female preferably). I have PCOS and Hypothyroidism, I am engaged, I have 3 cats and I listen to punk ska and acoustic and rock music. Sadly, I have no friends IRL or online…. well I mean I have a very few but mostly, we are out of touch. I’d like to talk to someone with the same interests and/or health problems as myself. I love vegetarianism but at the moment, I am not following a veg diet. I have weight to lose and am interested in a weight loss friend/support. My email is [email protected] :)
Hey! I have hypothyroidism, I have 1 cat, I listen to all kinds of music and I'm always open to chat to anyone any time. Feel free to message me whenever.
Hypothyroidism
So I’ve been taking levothyroxine since I was 14. I have been reading about my condition recently and found that I was not taught how to properly take care of myself, and my symptoms have worsened over the years. Time to find a new doctor!! Anyone have experience/ advice about a possible gluten free diet, t4 vs t3 medication, or other evidence based holistic approaches? Trying to absorb as much info as possible and finally get healthy!
No doctor has ever taught me how to take care of myself either. They've never talked about symptoms I clearly displayed (muscle pains) and simply told me I was fine, despite me being diagnosed hypo, they've always fobbed me off and it's so frustrating. I was diagnosed at 19 and I'm now 29, I have a new doctor who not only wants blood tests for my thyroid function but also wants to make sure my liver and kidneys don't decline, which no doctor has ever done before, I didn't even know those tests were needed and will find out the result of those on Wednesday. Its definitely good to have a doctor who cares.
