There are legit concerns about the political fall out of team USA winning gold in men’s hockey and I’ve talked about them myself but it is kind of funny for people to act like there wouldn’t be any if team Canada had won, as if the last four years has not been defined by news of various sexual abuse scandals hockey Canada has been involved in such as literally having a hush fund for any abuse claims or a real sketchy trial that involved a Canadian judge going out of her way to humiliate a victim of sexual abuse by Canadian hockey players. Do you think a gold medal would not have been used to clean up hockey Canadas image and justify this and their general political power in the country

I lived with my mum my whole life until very recently, I became her full time carer when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2020 and I looked after her until she passed away in September 2025. I am now left as the sole person responsible for our house, our pets, and my own well-being. I have some other family around and I'm on benefits which helps a bit, and at some point this year I will hopefully inherit the money from my mum's pensions and life insurance but that's all currently tied up in legal stuff. I'm trying to get a job but it's not easy when I'm disabled, I can't drive, and I haven't been employed for 5 years. So yeah, if you can, please consider helping me out 💚

idk what else i can say, we've been in need for months, my physical and mental health have been declining sharply, job openings are scarce and they aren't answering back, i'm a multiply disabled chinese lesbian and ICE is 'undercover' in my city, my wife is a trans woman and there's been cases of transmisogynistic violence in the streets here and there as well as job discrimination too, we are disadvantaged and this isn't the only major bill or expense to worry about, we have utilities and we're always paying the adhd / disabled tax on our groceries, everything adds up and we really really need to pay off this balance to have some fucking breathing room for once please

I'm so sorry to be obnoxious about all the help I've been asking for lately. I'm wondering if I can get help paying for a cheap air conditioner. I live in the south and it's reaching the unbearably hot days of summer. My bedroom is incredibly hot and stuffy at all hours of the day and the heat is starting to make it difficult to sleep. My bedroom is also pretty much the only place I can escape from my toxic family. I have an old tower fan that basically pushes around hot air, and opening my window doesn't seem to be helping much, especially when there's no breeze. There are several cheap models on Amazon selling for about $160, so I'm making that my goal. I'm stretched thin by bills and I haven't been able to find work despite a very intensive job search. I know this isn't a necessity but it would make things a little easier for me right now. Thank you
