Im gonna get straight to the point with this. I was kinda disappointed with QOS. Maybe it was just that HOF was so amazing that I set my expectations very very high, and was a tad let down. Dont get me wrong, Maas is an amazing author and she paints beautiful pictures with words in only the way a true artist can. Once again very lifelike characters with interesting dialogue. She just tells a story so easily it folds together amazingly. ________________________________________________ (Aelin.) You’ve seen her with quite a few names and titles but she now has thoroughly embraced her duty as a rising queen… But maybe a little over much. I find her character to be somewhat tyrannical actually. I mean mad props to this girl. Taking her Kingdom, and destroying evil. But she’s very closed minded, and i fear for the people who she will rule. A great leader tolerates difference because people are different. Maybe she will grow into it. ________________________________________________ (Lysandra . Love. Love. Love. she’s amazing. Her character development is amazing. Everything about this woman is AMAZING. i loved her and her powers, and just the determination she had to get her freedom. Her boobs are that big to fit her heart. Duh. _______________________________________ (Manon and her 13) i was waiting for this and wasn’t a bit disappointed with how these characters meshed with their storyline. The character growth= lovely. Potential= fulfilled. _______________________________________________ (Aedion.) I Was kinda disappointed he didn’t get more spotlight. We waited sooooo long for the reunion , and that was soooo beutiful. *sniffle* . But that was basically it. He find out who his dad is *screaming pterodactyl noises*. But he got very little light after that. ________________________________________________ (Chaol. ) Yes. Yes. Yes. Please. Total character redemption. He was a bit unstable at first but he pulled together so very well. He made hard decisions but the only showed that he is such a beutiful character. His total devotion to his Prince/King is absolutely amazing. A true hero. _______________________________________________ (Dorian. ) We are overjoyed he’s back. Complete joy and happiness. I was totally ready for that magic battle and enjoyed it. Good luck on taking responsibility as king, because not only is war coming, but you have a castle to rebuild. ___________________________________ (Rowan Whitethorn.) Love of my life. Where do I even start? I saved him for last because I can’t even… i loved you so much in HOF. You were life, and, light, and wind, and a total let down in QOS. *sobs for centuries* Totally disapointed. He almost let Aelin die like 3 or 4 times because he was so stuck on stupid. Staggering on cloud 9. His head was completely stuck on their romance and because of it she almost died. There was no bonding of light and sheer joy like in HOF, just burning desire. HOW ORIGINAL. smh.I totally ship Rowan and aelin, i do, but not like this basic, banal lack of artful taste. Love is a song, but you mon ami were waaay off pitch. ______________________________________________________ My one major complaint was that the plot was just so predictable. I correctly guessed like 75% of the storyline all the way down to the location, and outcome. The plot was written in snatches and was kinda slow and unbalanced.
