A little story altering of my rewrite of Lj’s origin is that I’m not going to make Issac’s parents assholes. Not because I’m lowkey tired of the Abusive parents and or family member trope. But because I’m a firm believer that Issac can still be a monster of a human without having shitty parents. Yes they live in the much poorer side of London in the Victorian era but they can still love and care for their child.
Issacs development as an antagonist does begin at a young age and even at boarding school (another gap in the story that I want to write about) but I’m just not going to have his parents be assholes. If anything they want him to get out of the lower status of London and make a name for himself.
