I know everyone’s talking about this and there’s probably like 500 posts just like it but 5 years on from this album, I can’t help but look back and get super feelsy about what this album did to me.

Whatever Kanye or anyone else says about this album musically, I don’t think you can deny the effect this album put on people. Hearing Kanye find himself and just own 100% of who he is, that worked me. I wanted to be so confident in myself that I could stand up against anyone who doubted me, or disapproved of what I want to do. I let the story of this album take over me, and since then I keep trying to be the person I feel like when I listen to this album. Yeezy taught me.
