what she means: in season 2 episode 5 of Voltron, “Eye Of The Storm”, there was absolutely no plot-essential reason for Lance and Keith to both be specifically looking for a swimming pool, they could literally have been trying to do anything else and it could still have been pretty easy to write them into a team-bonding situation, and yet a swimming pool was chosen, and even in that case there was no plot-related need to have them both already be down to their swimming trunks, they could have just been carrying those with them along with their towels, and the fact that the writers chose to have them be in their swimming trunks has to mean they wanted them to have skin-to-skin contact during the climb up the elevator shaft, which, again, is in no way essential to having them bonding, furthermore most if not all of season two must have already been finished writing by the time the first season aired which means this was unlikely spurred by a desire to specifically please the fans, but rather something the writers felt important to include for their character development but again if the point is to show them bonding as friends or team-mates there is no reason to have them be skin-to-skin which can only mean that this scene is meant for something else than mere friendly developments,
