Why Papyrus will be a Shadow Crystal Boss
Damn! What is Darkseid cooking? Absolute Green Lantern? More like Absolute Toxic Yuri!
Lowkey, it's so funny that there's an entire established religion in Deltarune, and its whole deal occurs entirely within a single small (miniscule!) town.
Like, imagine if the second coming of Jesus Christ happened, but it was only for one town. Hilarious.
What even happens afterwards? When the Prophecy is fulfilled (or destroyed, or whatever)? Is the religion just over? Maybe everyone outside the town won't know, but what about the Hometown residents? Is the church obsolete? Will Alvin need to get a new job?
Rough sketch of Kris in a somewhat realistic style.
A self-taught student of magic tries to learn necromancy, but they're terrible at it. They acheive no results no matter how many times they inscribe symbols, chant incantations, or perform any other kind of ritual. No matter the subject -be it fly, dog, human, skeleton, rotting corpse, newly dead- nothing happens.
This is strange, because magic usually does something, even if not what was intended. A lesser, or unexpected effect appears. Magical energy can't just dissipate into nothingness, it must do something!
Just goes to show how bad they are, the student thinks.
That's what they think.
Turns out they ARE "bad" at necromancy, because they're missing a crucial step. The process of necromancy is twofold: reanimation of the conciousness and reanimation of the body.
The student has accomplished the former but not the latter. In other words, each and every one of the specimens which the student has made attempts on -each corpse, that is- is conscious. Conscious, but with no capacity for movement. In fact, all organs, muscles, tendons, and nerves are nonfunctional.
These beings, animal and human alike, not quite dead yet certainly not living, are unable to see, hear, taste, smell, touch, speak, or move. All they can do is think, forever.
I may have a mouth, but I cannot use it. And I must scream.
Drew some Ralsei doodles.
Two Undertale fans try to have sex. They have difficulties, and it gets to the point of frustration.
One of them says, "This isn't working. Do you want to stop?"
The other replies, "But nobody came."
Consider the following scenario in Deltarune:
You're playing a brand new chapter of Deltarune.
A knock on the door. Toriel answers. It's her son, Asriel, back from university!
Asriel greets with a "Howdy!"
Hugs and kisses. Standard-issue welcome home from Mom. Toriel even has a pie, baked in preparation.
Kris is here! They're so happy to see their brother again, or you suppose they must be. You can't exactly see them emote, or hear (read) what they say.
Conversation with Asriel continues. He's such a Golden Boy, exactly what you'd expect from his many awards, and the way everyone speaks so highly of him.
But as the cutscene progresses, you notice something. The music.
The music track playing isn't You Can Always Come Home, or a variant.
The music doesn't have the His Theme motif.
No, it's something else.
A melody you'd know anywhere. Not quite the vaguely ominous chiptune, but still glaringly recognizeable.
The music playing has the motif of Your Best Friend.

I made this little doodle of Susie Deltarune a couple of months ago. What do you think? I drew it from memory.
It's really funny how in fiction, being between "good" and " bad" is condidered neutral.
Like, in real life, a "neutral" character would be considered an asshole at best and a committer of atrocities at worst. Imagine someone who killed a family of four, but spared their next-door neighbors, so they aren't TOTALLY evil, right?
