Hello, my name is Dahlia Al Ghul. I am daughter to Talia Al Ghul and Bruce Wayne. Twin sister to Damian Wayne.

I was raised by Ras Al Ghul to serve the true heir to the Demon’s head. I will give my life in protection of my twin and ensure his success by any means necessary.

Welcome to my rp blog for my OC. The above pictures are of her as she is when she was with the league. She was raised primarily by Ras, not Talia and was taught that her own life has no value outside of being a protector for Damian. She believes he is more important than her despite the fact that they are twins.

These pictures are of her after she came to Wayne manor with Damian and was taught by Bruce, Alfred and her older brothers that she is her own person and deserves to live just as much as Damian does and her life has value separate from being his protector.

She joins them in protecting Gotham under the name Jenny Wren and has a deep desire to learn magic from Zatarra and John Constantine after witnessing them help the Justice League with a magical issue.

Kon liked to think he was pretty smart. He had been the quickest learner out of the test tube. Not that there was much competition.

He might not know how to do trigonometry but he knew his stuff when it came to rebranding. He still knew when he was beat. Young Justice had hit a major snag. They had all expected Tim to know what to do, and he did… sort of. He happened to have just the person.

Kon wasn’t expecting him to bring his little sister in. He could have made a joke about bringing Jon in too. Instead, he greeted her with a quick nod. She was his expert on all things poison, apparently.

Not knowing how to start this, Kon looked at the files Tim carried with him. “So, back to square one?”

The only sound that escapes Dahlia is a sharp breath in before she holds onto him tightly, pressing her face into his neck to protect her eyes and face from the wind as they fly. She’s heard from her brothers that if she’s ever flown by someone at high speeds to keep her eyes closed and face protected so she doesn’t get windburn. She wraps her good arm around his shoulders, keeping her injured one tucked between them protectively. She gives him a nod to signal she’s ready to get out of there as soon as he is.

Kon is bringing them halfway around the world in seconds. She already had her face covered, vaguely he worried about other exposed skin. Possibly irritated from the high speed.

Either way it’ll get taken care of. He’s bringing her down in a Gotham based hospital in no time. One specifically for heroes - so theoretically there won’t be any unwelcome questions.

Dahlia takes one look at the hospital and clings to Kon a bit tighter. She doesn’t like hospitals, they remind her too much of being scrutinized and observed like she was back in the league when Ras would watch her training, judging her and always finding something wrong to punish her for. “T-Tompkins clinic. Take me there. She knows about Batman. She helps us.” She tells Kon, trying and failing to keep her voice from shaking. She just hopes he assumes it’s from blood loss and not fear, forgetting for a moment that he can hear her heartbeat and how it’s racing with fear like a jackrabbits.

“Tompkins… Tompkins…” his head swivels around. Looking carefully for any indicator of which way to go. Ultimately he can’t find one and Dahlia seems in no condition to act as his GPS.

He steps back, away from the doors of the hospital. She probably doesn’t have much time to get all this set right. “Y’gotta beacon or anything, D?” Any way to contact the family would be best. If she doesn’t have any - which he wouldn’t expect her to considering the league - then this hospital will be the best they can do.

Dahlia opens her mouth to speak and ends up coughing heavily, blood splattering her hand where she covers her mouth. She curses in Arabic before giving him an address in the Bowery. “Sorry, you’ll want to clean your uniform after this.”

He zips to the address, depositing her on the bed when he’s let in. It’s like a switch is flipped and he’s playing second fiddle to Dr.Tompkins, repeating back information and explanations.

As she gets to work he stays by Dahlia’s side, keeping himself in plain sight. He tries not to cringe when his hand smears some of her blood. A stray drop on his jacket. He’s more concerned about her wellbeing over his appearance anyways.

Kon’s head snaps to attention every time the doctor begins his name. In record time they’ve got Dahlia bound. Bones painfully set, blood wiped away, Dr.Tompkins is still wrapping bandages around the more surface injuries. After the rush of activity, it goes quiet. Kon half expects Dahlia to pass out now that the adrenaline is winding down.

Dr. Tompkins is no nonsense ordering Kon around and instructing him to fetch her supplies and hold dahlias leg steady while she wraps and sets her injuries. Once she finishes she gives dahlia some strong painkillers and says she’s going to go inform Batman that Dahlia is here and leaves her alone with Kon.

Dahlia is leaned back on a pillow on the hospital bed set up so she’s sitting up. She looks exhausted and pale but not quite like she’s about to keel over anymore.

She looks at Kon and gives a weak smile, “hey, thank you, for all of this, for saving me, getting me to the clinic and helping the doctor patch me up. I’m sure you’re probably wondering what went wrong.”

“I think I’ve got a decent guess,” he joked. He doesn’t need thanks for saving her, he’d do it regardless. He’s just glad he got there in time.

Kon can’t help keeping an ear on her heart rate, it’s calmed down considerably. “If you want to sleep, you can. I’ll stay here at least until B and Red come.”

“I figured you at least deserve an explication for why you had to fly halfway around the world. Ras discovered I’ve not been living in the shadows as Robin’s weapon and I’ve been living as my own person,” dahlia explains with a sigh

"Well," the urge for some sort of 'I told you so' was a hard one to force down. That wasn't what she needed to hear right now. "I figured something like that had happened. I'm just glad you called, glad I could get to you in time."

He sat back in his chair, looking around the room and avoiding her gaze. "Does this mean you have a target on your back now? Can't imagine he'll just let you get away."

“Probably. They’ll want to retrain me or kill me. I’m honestly shocked they haven’t detonated the bomb in my head. Perhaps it does something else. “ she says reaching back and idly stroking the spot where she can feel the scar on the back of her head from the implant.

“…yeah,” Kon wasn’t sure how to respond to that. She said it so casually, like her potential death didn’t mean much in the long run.

“Maybe it’s a dud? But uh - after this I’d imagine the bats have some protocol for hiding you around?” His eyes flicked to his wrist, like he had ever worn a watch.

Dahlia makes a face as if only just now remembering her family. “Fuck. They’re going to freak out. Damian is gonna be pissed and yell at Lady Tahlia and the Demon’s head and dick is gonna get all protective. Jason’s gonna say he told me so about going back and Tim’s gonna get all paranoid again. I don’t even wanna think about what cass Nd Bruce are gonna do,” she groans rubbing her face. “Can I just hide out on the Kent farm for a couple of weeks till it blows over and they forget?” She asks half joking

Kon offers a laugh at that. “We’re always happy to have you at the farm, but cmon they’d tear the place apart looking for you.”

He sat back in his chair, trying not to cross his arms. He could hear footsteps and grapples making their way closer to the room anyways.

“Tell them if you need ‘em to back off a bit. They’ll be pissed on your behalf but they just want to make sure you’re okay.”

“You don’t get it Kon. I’m the baby of the family in their eyes. Damian’s poor twin who was raised as a weapon and not a person, who didn’t even know what a hug felt like until I was twelve. They’re going to be INSUFFERABLE!” She groans in frustration though there’s definitely fondness in her voice as she continues talking about her family.

“Dick is going to want to tear Lady Tahlias head clean off her shoulders more than he already does. Jason’s gonna wanna put a bullet between Ras’ eyes. God knows what Tim will do. You know how unhinged he can get when people he cares about are threatened,” she says chuckling at the memory of some of Tim’s more…..eccentric revenges.

“Did I ever tell you that once Damian messed up his files by accident and he made it so that every electronic device Damian used for the next three days played Baby Shark every single time he tried to use it. He even changed his alarm clock.”

Kon fondly nodded at the idea, of course Tim would. "Sounds like him. But seriously! They care about you a lot. They'll be upset on your behalf and maybe a bit totally insufferable, it's just how they show their love. Isn't it?"

As if on queue the doors to the little room were thrown open, bats flooding the small entrance. Kon nodded to them as they did what he assumed was a sweep of the room. When prompted he vacated his seat, lingering back towards the door.

He was glad Dahlia was alright but he was sure the bats would want to talk without him present. He gave her a supportive thumbs up from behind them all.

Dahlia grabs Kon’s sleeve and gives him a look that clearly reads as ‘please don’t leave’. As soon as her family is assured the room is secure dahlia is wrapped up in one of Nightwing’s octopus hugs as she calls them.

“Are you okay? What happened? Did Ras do this? I’m gonna kill him!” Dick says his words going nearly as fast as Impulse when he’s running.

Batman stands beside the bed putting a hand on my shoulder and asks firmly, “what happened?”

I sigh half frustrated, half fond, “the Demon’s head and Lady Tahlia learned somehow that I’ve been neglecting my duties as Damian’s shield and haven’t been living as his servant. They wanted to ‘retrain’ me. They also figured out I was there to investigate a poisoning I was looking into for Young Justice. I called Superboy to get me out since I knew he’d be listening since I was there for their team.” I explain

Kon gives a meek wave to the family, he’ll stay as long as Dahlia wants him to.

“Doc said she’d be alright, with enough rest of course. She should probably stay off her leg for a while- but uh- what with the league,”

He shrugged a bit. He wasn’t sure how much rest would be possible with the League of Assassins out to get you. Hopefully enough for Dahlia to get better without any lasting issues. When Batman turned his gaze on Kon he made sure not to shrink under it. He’d weathered a lot of stare downs from the man in the past.

Batman approaches Kon and puts a hand on his shoulder, “thank you for helping Dahlia escape the league and getting her to a doctor. I appreciate that you are a friend to her.”

“Stop getting all mushy, Father. It’s unbecoming,” Damian jokes as he takes a seat beside my bed.

I roll my eyes and sigh fondly, “thank you by the way, Kon. I don’t think I’ve thanked you for saving me yet.”

“Any superboy would’ve done it,” he couldn’t help the slight way he preened under the attention. Doing and being good, unsurprisingly, made him feel confident.

Getting marks from Batman of all people too… he was definitely going to hold this over Tim’s head. In a funny way.

He took post out of the way while the family caught up. Interjecting only to offer that Dahlia could come to the farm if they wanted her around supers. He knew the Bats were well equipped to take care of their own but offering couldn’t hurt.

Batman rejects the idea of me going to the farm. “Normally I’d be fine with it, but until we know if the league is going to come after her it’s better for Dahlia not to be around civilians too much,” he explains.

Dahlia gasps, her eyes widen, “oh my gods I didn’t even think of that. If I stayed at the farmhouse they wouldn’t hesitate to kill ma or pa Kent to get to me.”

Batman nods his head. “It’s safer for everybody if you stick to only being around people in the hero community who can defend themselves until we confirm if the league is going to chase you. You should be careful too Superboy. We don’t know if the league knows it was you who helped Dahlia escaped them, so they might try to come after you.”

“we were outta there in a flash, I’d be shocked if they knew. But you’re probably right,”

No sense in risking Ma or Pa. Of course, to be sure that meant Superboy couldn’t go home to them. His mind drifted, maybe he could spend time with Lex. He was sort of able to defend himself, being a supervillain.

“How will you know if- when- the league is coming? Or when they’re not?”

“Never underestimate the League of assassins. You’d be amazed at how much they’re able to pick up on. It’s not to Batman’s level but it’s still extremely impressive,” Tim warns Kon.

Dahlia nods in agreement, “yeah a son you were in that room with me. I’m pretty sure every room in that place has some sort of surveillance.”

He cringed at that. Definitely couldn’t go home then. Kon’s body swayed to the side, stepping closer to his friend. His mind kept drifting even as he spoke.

“So, Dahlia’s set here with you guys. She’ll be safe. I’m always on call, like usual. What comes next?”

As fun as being absorbed into the family would be, Kon didn’t want to be running his entire life. There had to be a way to shake the league. Being in constant fear of what was around the corner would be awful for the Superboy brand.

“Well you could stay at the Young justice base or the manor until we figure out how much the league knows.” Tim suggests looking to Batman for confirmation. Batman nods, “you’re welcome at the manor so long as you’re careful and avoid the press. They’ve been around the manor more lately because of dahlia and Damian being in a recent art showcase.”

“Didn’t know they were in a showcase, that’s cool,” he mumbled aloud, bringing his hand up to cover his mouth slightly, running the pad of his finger over his lip while he thought.

“I gotta take a flight, clear my head. I’ll have to get back to you on where I’ll stay,”

“Be extremely careful to stay out of sight. The league of assassins is cunning and they could try to attack you while you’re flying. I don’t want to see you get hurt because you helped me,”

A near blatant lie but not one that mattered too much. He just hoped it provided some comfort as he tried to get out. He would make sure to give himself extra TTK padding though. Not just for Dahlia’s comfort.

He would end up at the YJ headquarters, at least temporarily. It was almost as comfortable as home and the next best option.

Tim arrives a few days later with a healing Dahlia in tow. “Hey, Kon. We’ve decided that until we know if Dahlia is being hunted, having her stay here at the YJ HQ would be smartest. Since the league knows about Wayne manor and the titans tower, but not about this base,” Tim explains helping me tot he couch in the rec room.

I give a crooked grin to Kon, “looks like we’ll be roomies for a bit.”

“Oh heck yeah! We’re gonna have so much fun.” Now having a few days to himself, Kon is feeling much better.

He gets right to it, giving an abridged tour to Dahlia. He’s sure that Tim will go over it all anyways. “The rooms are down that way but honestly a lot of the time we just make a fort or pass out on the couch-“ it’s a lot easier now. Last time they saw each other was in a high stakes situation. Now, it’s just hanging out in a secret headquarters.

Dahlias leg is in a cast and she’s still pretty bandaged up but she’s definitely looking better than she was when he last saw her at the hospital. She looks so much more relaxed than she did then or even in the meeting where Tim first introduced her to the team.

“So are you the only one who’s living on the base right now?” She asks settling into the couch with a sigh

“Consistently, yeah. The others all come through but I’m the only full timer.”

It would be nice to have someone here consistently like himself. The base was huge when you were alone, getting it filled again would be a blessing. Plus he could get better at the multiplayer games with Dahlia here!

“Well, I’ll be here for the next few weeks at least. The league doesn’t know about this place so Bruce thought it’d be best if I stayed here with you rather than at the manor. He’ll be stopping by to check on me and so will Tim. But that’s normal Tim loves spending time here. He’s always smiling when he gets home from visiting you here.”

Dahlia tells him a big smile on her own face. She’s excited at the chance to get to know Kon better

“Bruce had the right idea having you come by. The league isn’t getting anywhere near here. Uh-“ he looked around, knocking on the center table in the media room, “knock on wood. — So, what do you want to do? need help settling in or anything?”

“Maybe you could give me a tour so I know my way around. That way I don’t get lost,” I suggest after thinking for a moment. “Tim and Jason will be over later to bring some of my stuff for me to use while I’m here so I don’t have anything right now except the stuff in my backpack but I’d like to see more of the base. I’ve only been here twice before and I’ve never gotten the chance to explore it.

“Got it!!” Kon had a jump in his step as he turned around, staying off the ground just a second longer than a normal person would. He started talking, filling the silence between them as he walked Dahlia around the base.

She’s able to keep up with him for a while, listening to him talk and asking questions about the base and what he likes to do for fun. When they get to where the bedrooms are she starts to slow down. “You mind if we take a break? My ribs are starting to ache pretty bad and Dr Tompkins will have my head if I don’t take care of myself.”

They wanted to ‘retrain’ me. They also figured out I was there to investigate a poisoning I was looking into for Young Justice. I called Superboy to get me out since I knew he’d be listening since I was there for their team.” I explain

Last time they saw each other was in a high stakes situation. Now, it’s just hanging out in a secret headquarters.

Dahlias leg is in a cast and she’s still pretty bandaged up but she’s definitely looking better than she was when he last saw her at the hospital. She looks so much more relaxed than she did then or even in the meeting where Tim first introduced her to the team.

“So are you the only one who’s living on the base right now?” She asks settling into the couch with a sigh

“Consistently, yeah. The others all come through but I’m the only full timer.”

It would be nice to have someone here consistently like himself. The base was huge when you were alone, getting it filled again would be a blessing. Plus he could get better at the multiplayer games with Dahlia here!

Kon liked to think he was pretty smart. He had been the quickest learner out of the test tube. Not that there was much competition.

He might not know how to do trigonometry but he knew his stuff when it came to rebranding. He still knew when he was beat. Young Justice had hit a major snag. They had all expected Tim to know what to do, and he did… sort of. He happened to have just the person.

Kon wasn’t expecting him to bring his little sister in. He could have made a joke about bringing Jon in too. Instead, he greeted her with a quick nod. She was his expert on all things poison, apparently.

The only sound that escapes Dahlia is a sharp breath in before she holds onto him tightly, pressing her face into his neck to protect her eyes and face from the wind as they fly. She’s heard from her brothers that if she’s ever flown by someone at high speeds to keep her eyes closed and face protected so she doesn’t get windburn. She wraps her good arm around his shoulders, keeping her injured one tucked between them protectively. She gives him a nod to signal she’s ready to get out of there as soon as he is.

Either way it’ll get taken care of. He’s bringing her down in a Gotham based hospital in no time. One specifically for heroes - so theoretically there won’t be any unwelcome questions.

Dahlia takes one look at the hospital and clings to Kon a bit tighter. She doesn’t like hospitals, they remind her too much of being scrutinized and observed like she was back in the league when Ras would watch her training, judging her and always finding something wrong to punish her for. “T-Tompkins clinic. Take me there. She knows about Batman. She helps us.” She tells Kon, trying and failing to keep her voice from shaking. She just hopes he assumes it’s from blood loss and not fear, forgetting for a moment that he can hear her heartbeat and how it’s racing with fear like a jackrabbits.

“Tompkins… Tompkins…” his head swivels around. Looking carefully for any indicator of which way to go. Ultimately he can’t find one and Dahlia seems in no condition to act as his GPS.

He steps back, away from the doors of the hospital. She probably doesn’t have much time to get all this set right. “Y’gotta beacon or anything, D?” Any way to contact the family would be best. If she doesn’t have any - which he wouldn’t expect her to considering the league - then this hospital will be the best they can do.

Bones painfully set, blood wiped away, Dr.Tompkins is still wrapping bandages around the more surface injuries. After the rush of activity, it goes quiet. Kon half expects Dahlia to pass out now that the adrenaline is winding down.

Kon liked to think he was pretty smart. He had been the quickest learner out of the test tube. Not that there was much competition.

He might not know how to do trigonometry but he knew his stuff when it came to rebranding. He still knew when he was beat. Young Justice had hit a major snag. They had all expected Tim to know what to do, and he did… sort of. He happened to have just the person.

Kon wasn’t expecting him to bring his little sister in. He could have made a joke about bringing Jon in too. Instead, he greeted her with a quick nod. She was his expert on all things poison, apparently.

Not knowing how to start this, Kon looked at the files Tim carried with him. “So, back to square one?”

The only sound that escapes Dahlia is a sharp breath in before she holds onto him tightly, pressing her face into his neck to protect her eyes and face from the wind as they fly. She’s heard from her brothers that if she’s ever flown by someone at high speeds to keep her eyes closed and face protected so she doesn’t get windburn. She wraps her good arm around his shoulders, keeping her injured one tucked between them protectively. She gives him a nod to signal she’s ready to get out of there as soon as he is.

Kon is bringing them halfway around the world in seconds. She already had her face covered, vaguely he worried about other exposed skin. Possibly irritated from the high speed.

Either way it’ll get taken care of. He’s bringing her down in a Gotham based hospital in no time. One specifically for heroes - so theoretically there won’t be any unwelcome questions.

Dahlia takes one look at the hospital and clings to Kon a bit tighter. She doesn’t like hospitals, they remind her too much of being scrutinized and observed like she was back in the league when Ras would watch her training, judging her and always finding something wrong to punish her for. “T-Tompkins clinic. Take me there. She knows about Batman. She helps us.” She tells Kon, trying and failing to keep her voice from shaking. She just hopes he assumes it’s from blood loss and not fear, forgetting for a moment that he can hear her heartbeat and how it’s racing with fear like a jackrabbits.

“Tompkins… Tompkins…” his head swivels around. Looking carefully for any indicator of which way to go. Ultimately he can’t find one and Dahlia seems in no condition to act as his GPS.

He steps back, away from the doors of the hospital. She probably doesn’t have much time to get all this set right. “Y’gotta beacon or anything, D?” Any way to contact the family would be best. If she doesn’t have any - which he wouldn’t expect her to considering the league - then this hospital will be the best they can do.

Dahlia opens her mouth to speak and ends up coughing heavily, blood splattering her hand where she covers her mouth. She curses in Arabic before giving him an address in the Bowery. “Sorry, you’ll want to clean your uniform after this.”

He zips to the address, depositing her on the bed when he’s let in. It’s like a switch is flipped and he’s playing second fiddle to Dr.Tompkins, repeating back information and explanations.

As she gets to work he stays by Dahlia’s side, keeping himself in plain sight. He tries not to cringe when his hand smears some of her blood. A stray drop on his jacket. He’s more concerned about her wellbeing over his appearance anyways.

Kon’s head snaps to attention every time the doctor begins his name. In record time they’ve got Dahlia bound. Bones painfully set, blood wiped away, Dr.Tompkins is still wrapping bandages around the more surface injuries. After the rush of activity, it goes quiet. Kon half expects Dahlia to pass out now that the adrenaline is winding down.

Dr. Tompkins is no nonsense ordering Kon around and instructing him to fetch her supplies and hold dahlias leg steady while she wraps and sets her injuries. Once she finishes she gives dahlia some strong painkillers and says she’s going to go inform Batman that Dahlia is here and leaves her alone with Kon.

Dahlia is leaned back on a pillow on the hospital bed set up so she’s sitting up. She looks exhausted and pale but not quite like she’s about to keel over anymore.

She looks at Kon and gives a weak smile, “hey, thank you, for all of this, for saving me, getting me to the clinic and helping the doctor patch me up. I’m sure you’re probably wondering what went wrong.”

“I think I’ve got a decent guess,” he joked. He doesn’t need thanks for saving her, he’d do it regardless. He’s just glad he got there in time.

Kon can’t help keeping an ear on her heart rate, it’s calmed down considerably. “If you want to sleep, you can. I’ll stay here at least until B and Red come.”

“I figured you at least deserve an explication for why you had to fly halfway around the world. Ras discovered I’ve not been living in the shadows as Robin’s weapon and I’ve been living as my own person,” dahlia explains with a sigh

"Well," the urge for some sort of 'I told you so' was a hard one to force down. That wasn't what she needed to hear right now. "I figured something like that had happened. I'm just glad you called, glad I could get to you in time."

He sat back in his chair, looking around the room and avoiding her gaze. "Does this mean you have a target on your back now? Can't imagine he'll just let you get away."

“Probably. They’ll want to retrain me or kill me. I’m honestly shocked they haven’t detonated the bomb in my head. Perhaps it does something else. “ she says reaching back and idly stroking the spot where she can feel the scar on the back of her head from the implant.

“…yeah,” Kon wasn’t sure how to respond to that. She said it so casually, like her potential death didn’t mean much in the long run.

“Maybe it’s a dud? But uh - after this I’d imagine the bats have some protocol for hiding you around?” His eyes flicked to his wrist, like he had ever worn a watch.

Dahlia makes a face as if only just now remembering her family. “Fuck. They’re going to freak out. Damian is gonna be pissed and yell at Lady Tahlia and the Demon’s head and dick is gonna get all protective. Jason’s gonna say he told me so about going back and Tim’s gonna get all paranoid again. I don’t even wanna think about what cass Nd Bruce are gonna do,” she groans rubbing her face. “Can I just hide out on the Kent farm for a couple of weeks till it blows over and they forget?” She asks half joking

Kon offers a laugh at that. “We’re always happy to have you at the farm, but cmon they’d tear the place apart looking for you.”

He sat back in his chair, trying not to cross his arms. He could hear footsteps and grapples making their way closer to the room anyways.

“Tell them if you need ‘em to back off a bit. They’ll be pissed on your behalf but they just want to make sure you’re okay.”

“You don’t get it Kon. I’m the baby of the family in their eyes. Damian’s poor twin who was raised as a weapon and not a person, who didn’t even know what a hug felt like until I was twelve. They’re going to be INSUFFERABLE!” She groans in frustration though there’s definitely fondness in her voice as she continues talking about her family.

“Dick is going to want to tear Lady Tahlias head clean off her shoulders more than he already does. Jason’s gonna wanna put a bullet between Ras’ eyes. God knows what Tim will do. You know how unhinged he can get when people he cares about are threatened,” she says chuckling at the memory of some of Tim’s more…..eccentric revenges.

“Did I ever tell you that once Damian messed up his files by accident and he made it so that every electronic device Damian used for the next three days played Baby Shark every single time he tried to use it. He even changed his alarm clock.”

Kon fondly nodded at the idea, of course Tim would. "Sounds like him. But seriously! They care about you a lot. They'll be upset on your behalf and maybe a bit totally insufferable, it's just how they show their love. Isn't it?"

As if on queue the doors to the little room were thrown open, bats flooding the small entrance. Kon nodded to them as they did what he assumed was a sweep of the room. When prompted he vacated his seat, lingering back towards the door.

He was glad Dahlia was alright but he was sure the bats would want to talk without him present. He gave her a supportive thumbs up from behind them all.

Dahlia grabs Kon’s sleeve and gives him a look that clearly reads as ‘please don’t leave’. As soon as her family is assured the room is secure dahlia is wrapped up in one of Nightwing’s octopus hugs as she calls them.

“Are you okay? What happened? Did Ras do this? I’m gonna kill him!” Dick says his words going nearly as fast as Impulse when he’s running.

Batman stands beside the bed putting a hand on my shoulder and asks firmly, “what happened?”

I sigh half frustrated, half fond, “the Demon’s head and Lady Tahlia learned somehow that I’ve been neglecting my duties as Damian’s shield and haven’t been living as his servant. They wanted to ‘retrain’ me. They also figured out I was there to investigate a poisoning I was looking into for Young Justice. I called Superboy to get me out since I knew he’d be listening since I was there for their team.” I explain

Kon gives a meek wave to the family, he’ll stay as long as Dahlia wants him to.

“Doc said she’d be alright, with enough rest of course. She should probably stay off her leg for a while- but uh- what with the league,”

He shrugged a bit. He wasn’t sure how much rest would be possible with the League of Assassins out to get you. Hopefully enough for Dahlia to get better without any lasting issues. When Batman turned his gaze on Kon he made sure not to shrink under it. He’d weathered a lot of stare downs from the man in the past.

Batman approaches Kon and puts a hand on his shoulder, “thank you for helping Dahlia escape the league and getting her to a doctor. I appreciate that you are a friend to her.”

“Stop getting all mushy, Father. It’s unbecoming,” Damian jokes as he takes a seat beside my bed.

I roll my eyes and sigh fondly, “thank you by the way, Kon. I don’t think I’ve thanked you for saving me yet.”

“Any superboy would’ve done it,” he couldn’t help the slight way he preened under the attention. Doing and being good, unsurprisingly, made him feel confident.

Getting marks from Batman of all people too… he was definitely going to hold this over Tim’s head. In a funny way.

He took post out of the way while the family caught up. Interjecting only to offer that Dahlia could come to the farm if they wanted her around supers. He knew the Bats were well equipped to take care of their own but offering couldn’t hurt.

Batman rejects the idea of me going to the farm. “Normally I’d be fine with it, but until we know if the league is going to come after her it’s better for Dahlia not to be around civilians too much,” he explains.

Dahlia gasps, her eyes widen, “oh my gods I didn’t even think of that. If I stayed at the farmhouse they wouldn’t hesitate to kill ma or pa Kent to get to me.”

Batman nods his head. “It’s safer for everybody if you stick to only being around people in the hero community who can defend themselves until we confirm if the league is going to chase you. You should be careful too Superboy. We don’t know if the league knows it was you who helped Dahlia escaped them, so they might try to come after you.”

“we were outta there in a flash, I’d be shocked if they knew. But you’re probably right,”

No sense in risking Ma or Pa. Of course, to be sure that meant Superboy couldn’t go home to them. His mind drifted, maybe he could spend time with Lex. He was sort of able to defend himself, being a supervillain.

“How will you know if- when- the league is coming? Or when they’re not?”

“Never underestimate the League of assassins. You’d be amazed at how much they’re able to pick up on. It’s not to Batman’s level but it’s still extremely impressive,” Tim warns Kon.

Dahlia nods in agreement, “yeah a son you were in that room with me. I’m pretty sure every room in that place has some sort of surveillance.”

He cringed at that. Definitely couldn’t go home then. Kon’s body swayed to the side, stepping closer to his friend. His mind kept drifting even as he spoke.

“So, Dahlia’s set here with you guys. She’ll be safe. I’m always on call, like usual. What comes next?”

As fun as being absorbed into the family would be, Kon didn’t want to be running his entire life. There had to be a way to shake the league. Being in constant fear of what was around the corner would be awful for the Superboy brand.

“Well you could stay at the Young justice base or the manor until we figure out how much the league knows.” Tim suggests looking to Batman for confirmation. Batman nods, “you’re welcome at the manor so long as you’re careful and avoid the press. They’ve been around the manor more lately because of dahlia and Damian being in a recent art showcase.”

“…avoid the press. Right. You’re totally talking to the right guy for that,”

There was no heat behind the words but sarcasm didn’t stick to his voice either.

“Didn’t know they were in a showcase, that’s cool,” he mumbled aloud, bringing his hand up to cover his mouth slightly, running the pad of his finger over his lip while he thought.

“I gotta take a flight, clear my head. I’ll have to get back to you on where I’ll stay,”

“Be extremely careful to stay out of sight. The league of assassins is cunning and they could try to attack you while you’re flying. I don’t want to see you get hurt because you helped me,”

“Hey, I’m bulletproof” he tapped at his chest. “Not even of this world, I’ll be fine”

A near blatant lie but not one that mattered too much. He just hoped it provided some comfort as he tried to get out. He would make sure to give himself extra TTK padding though. Not just for Dahlia’s comfort.

“That’s a lie and we all know it. Just be safe and try to stay out of sight until we know if the league is going to come after you. Hopefully they’ll focus their efforts on chasing me and not you since I know their secrets.”

“You know I’m always a shout away,” He gave her a quick nod. With nothing more to say, Superboy took off to go process everything that had happened.

He would end up at the YJ headquarters, at least temporarily. It was almost as comfortable as home and the next best option.

Tim arrives a few days later with a healing Dahlia in tow. “Hey, Kon. We’ve decided that until we know if Dahlia is being hunted, having her stay here at the YJ HQ would be smartest. Since the league knows about Wayne manor and the titans tower, but not about this base,” Tim explains helping me tot he couch in the rec room.

I give a crooked grin to Kon, “looks like we’ll be roomies for a bit.”

“Oh heck yeah! We’re gonna have so much fun.” Now having a few days to himself, Kon is feeling much better.

He gets right to it, giving an abridged tour to Dahlia. He’s sure that Tim will go over it all anyways. “The rooms are down that way but honestly a lot of the time we just make a fort or pass out on the couch-“ it’s a lot easier now. Last time they saw each other was in a high stakes situation. Now, it’s just hanging out in a secret headquarters.

Dahlias leg is in a cast and she’s still pretty bandaged up but she’s definitely looking better than she was when he last saw her at the hospital. She looks so much more relaxed than she did then or even in the meeting where Tim first introduced her to the team.

“So are you the only one who’s living on the base right now?” She asks settling into the couch with a sigh

Like, we know that The Authority movie is coming, and The Authority was the successor to Stormwatch, after they were wiped out by the Xenomorphs from Alien.

And The Authority is the team the Engineer is from.

So I guess it's a little nod. Or maybe Rick Flagg steals the idea and changes the name.

Dahlia looks up at Wayne manor. After much difficulty after her original transport was destroyed in a villain attack she has finally managed to arrive at her final destination. She’s in the garb of a low level foot soldier of the League of Assassins with a mask covering her lower face. Her hair in a high ponytail. Her eyes sharp even as her appearance is a bit rumpled from being on the streets for several days. She straightens herself, standing at attention before knocking on the door.

*Damian was walking Titus on the front lawn. He comes to a halt when he sees the person in the League of Assassins uniform. The thing that shocked him was not her, but the fact that she wasn’t attempting to be stealthy and was actively making herself known by knocking on the door.*

“Titus, heel.” He commands, patting the large dog when he complied. “Why have you come?” He asks, his tone full of hostility.

Lady Talia provided this letter as explanation that I am meant to give to you and the Batman.” She says pulling a slightly crumpled letter from inside her tunic and holding it out to him. On the envelope he recognizes his mother’s neat and elegant script. “To my beloved and my dear son”

Dahlia looks up at Wayne manor. After much difficulty after her original transport was destroyed in a villain attack she has finally managed to arrive at her final destination. She’s in the garb of a low level foot soldier of the League of Assassins with a mask covering her lower face. Her hair in a high ponytail. Her eyes sharp even as her appearance is a bit rumpled from being on the streets for several days. She straightens herself, standing at attention before knocking on the door.

*Damian was walking Titus on the front lawn. He comes to a halt when he sees the person in the League of Assassins uniform. The thing that shocked him was not her, but the fact that she wasn’t attempting to be stealthy and was actively making herself known by knocking on the door.*

“Titus, heel.” He commands, patting the large dog when he complied. “Why have you come?” He asks, his tone full of hostility.

Lady Talia provided this letter as explanation that I am meant to give to you and the Batman.” She says pulling a slightly crumpled letter from inside her tunic and holding it out to him. On the envelope he recognizes his mother’s neat and elegant script. “To my beloved and my dear son”

Kon liked to think he was pretty smart. He had been the quickest learner out of the test tube. Not that there was much competition.

He might not know how to do trigonometry but he knew his stuff when it came to rebranding. He still knew when he was beat. Young Justice had hit a major snag. They had all expected Tim to know what to do, and he did… sort of. He happened to have just the person.

Kon wasn’t expecting him to bring his little sister in. He could have made a joke about bringing Jon in too. Instead, he greeted her with a quick nod. She was his expert on all things poison, apparently.

The only sound that escapes Dahlia is a sharp breath in before she holds onto him tightly, pressing her face into his neck to protect her eyes and face from the wind as they fly. She’s heard from her brothers that if she’s ever flown by someone at high speeds to keep her eyes closed and face protected so she doesn’t get windburn. She wraps her good arm around his shoulders, keeping her injured one tucked between them protectively. She gives him a nod to signal she’s ready to get out of there as soon as he is.

Kon is bringing them halfway around the world in seconds. She already had her face covered, vaguely he worried about other exposed skin. Possibly irritated from the high speed.

Either way it’ll get taken care of. He’s bringing her down in a Gotham based hospital in no time. One specifically for heroes - so theoretically there won’t be any unwelcome questions.

Dahlia takes one look at the hospital and clings to Kon a bit tighter. She doesn’t like hospitals, they remind her too much of being scrutinized and observed like she was back in the league when Ras would watch her training, judging her and always finding something wrong to punish her for. “T-Tompkins clinic. Take me there. She knows about Batman. She helps us.” She tells Kon, trying and failing to keep her voice from shaking. She just hopes he assumes it’s from blood loss and not fear, forgetting for a moment that he can hear her heartbeat and how it’s racing with fear like a jackrabbits.

“Tompkins… Tompkins…” his head swivels around. Looking carefully for any indicator of which way to go. Ultimately he can’t find one and Dahlia seems in no condition to act as his GPS.

He steps back, away from the doors of the hospital. She probably doesn’t have much time to get all this set right. “Y’gotta beacon or anything, D?” Any way to contact the family would be best. If she doesn’t have any - which he wouldn’t expect her to considering the league - then this hospital will be the best they can do.

Dahlia opens her mouth to speak and ends up coughing heavily, blood splattering her hand where she covers her mouth. She curses in Arabic before giving him an address in the Bowery. “Sorry, you’ll want to clean your uniform after this.”

He zips to the address, depositing her on the bed when he’s let in. It’s like a switch is flipped and he’s playing second fiddle to Dr.Tompkins, repeating back information and explanations.

As she gets to work he stays by Dahlia’s side, keeping himself in plain sight. He tries not to cringe when his hand smears some of her blood. A stray drop on his jacket. He’s more concerned about her wellbeing over his appearance anyways.

Kon’s head snaps to attention every time the doctor begins his name. In record time they’ve got Dahlia bound. Bones painfully set, blood wiped away, Dr.Tompkins is still wrapping bandages around the more surface injuries. After the rush of activity, it goes quiet. Kon half expects Dahlia to pass out now that the adrenaline is winding down.

Dr. Tompkins is no nonsense ordering Kon around and instructing him to fetch her supplies and hold dahlias leg steady while she wraps and sets her injuries. Once she finishes she gives dahlia some strong painkillers and says she’s going to go inform Batman that Dahlia is here and leaves her alone with Kon.

Dahlia is leaned back on a pillow on the hospital bed set up so she’s sitting up. She looks exhausted and pale but not quite like she’s about to keel over anymore.

She looks at Kon and gives a weak smile, “hey, thank you, for all of this, for saving me, getting me to the clinic and helping the doctor patch me up. I’m sure you’re probably wondering what went wrong.”

“I think I’ve got a decent guess,” he joked. He doesn’t need thanks for saving her, he’d do it regardless. He’s just glad he got there in time.

Kon can’t help keeping an ear on her heart rate, it’s calmed down considerably. “If you want to sleep, you can. I’ll stay here at least until B and Red come.”

“I figured you at least deserve an explication for why you had to fly halfway around the world. Ras discovered I’ve not been living in the shadows as Robin’s weapon and I’ve been living as my own person,” dahlia explains with a sigh

I don’t even wanna think about what cass Nd Bruce are gonna do,” she groans rubbing her face. “Can I just hide out on the Kent farm for a couple of weeks till it blows over and they forget?” She asks half joking

Damian is gonna be pissed and yell at Lady Tahlia and the Demon’s head and dick is gonna get all protective. Jason’s gonna say he told me so about going back and Tim’s gonna get all paranoid again. I don’t even wanna think about what cass Nd Bruce are gonna do,” she groans rubbing her face. “Can I just hide out on the Kent farm for a couple of weeks till it blows over and they forget?” She asks half joking

Kon offers a laugh at that. “We’re always happy to have you at the farm, but cmon they’d tear the place apart looking for you.”

He sat back in his chair, trying not to cross his arms. He could hear footsteps and grapples making their way closer to the room anyways.

“Tell them if you need ‘em to back off a bit. They’ll be pissed on your behalf but they just want to make sure you’re okay.”

“You don’t get it Kon. I’m the baby of the family in their eyes. Damian’s poor twin who was raised as a weapon and not a person, who didn’t even know what a hug felt like until I was twelve. They’re going to be INSUFFERABLE!” She groans in frustration though there’s definitely fondness in her voice as she continues talking about her family.

“Dick is going to want to tear Lady Tahlias head clean off her shoulders more than he already does. Jason’s gonna wanna put a bullet between Ras’ eyes. God knows what Tim will do. You know how unhinged he can get when people he cares about are threatened,” she says chuckling at the memory of some of Tim’s more…..eccentric revenges.

“Did I ever tell you that once Damian messed up his files by accident and he made it so that every electronic device Damian used for the next three days played Baby Shark every single time he tried to use it. He even changed his alarm clock.”

Kon fondly nodded at the idea, of course Tim would. "Sounds like him. But seriously! They care about you a lot. They'll be upset on your behalf and maybe a bit totally insufferable, it's just how they show their love. Isn't it?"

As if on queue the doors to the little room were thrown open, bats flooding the small entrance. Kon nodded to them as they did what he assumed was a sweep of the room. When prompted he vacated his seat, lingering back towards the door.

He was glad Dahlia was alright but he was sure the bats would want to talk without him present. He gave her a supportive thumbs up from behind them all.

Dahlia grabs Kon’s sleeve and gives him a look that clearly reads as ‘please don’t leave’. As soon as her family is assured the room is secure dahlia is wrapped up in one of Nightwing’s octopus hugs as she calls them.

“Are you okay? What happened? Did Ras do this? I’m gonna kill him!” Dick says his words going nearly as fast as Impulse when he’s running.

Batman stands beside the bed putting a hand on my shoulder and asks firmly, “what happened?”

I sigh half frustrated, half fond, “the Demon’s head and Lady Tahlia learned somehow that I’ve been neglecting my duties as Damian’s shield and haven’t been living as his servant. They wanted to ‘retrain’ me. They also figured out I was there to investigate a poisoning I was looking into for Young Justice. I called Superboy to get me out since I knew he’d be listening since I was there for their team.” I explain

Kon gives a meek wave to the family, he’ll stay as long as Dahlia wants him to.

“Doc said she’d be alright, with enough rest of course. She should probably stay off her leg for a while- but uh- what with the league,”

He shrugged a bit. He wasn’t sure how much rest would be possible with the League of Assassins out to get you. Hopefully enough for Dahlia to get better without any lasting issues. When Batman turned his gaze on Kon he made sure not to shrink under it. He’d weathered a lot of stare downs from the man in the past.

Batman approaches Kon and puts a hand on his shoulder, “thank you for helping Dahlia escape the league and getting her to a doctor. I appreciate that you are a friend to her.”

“Stop getting all mushy, Father. It’s unbecoming,” Damian jokes as he takes a seat beside my bed.

I roll my eyes and sigh fondly, “thank you by the way, Kon. I don’t think I’ve thanked you for saving me yet.”

“Any superboy would’ve done it,” he couldn’t help the slight way he preened under the attention. Doing and being good, unsurprisingly, made him feel confident.

Getting marks from Batman of all people too… he was definitely going to hold this over Tim’s head. In a funny way.

He took post out of the way while the family caught up. Interjecting only to offer that Dahlia could come to the farm if they wanted her around supers. He knew the Bats were well equipped to take care of their own but offering couldn’t hurt.

Batman rejects the idea of me going to the farm. “Normally I’d be fine with it, but until we know if the league is going to come after her it’s better for Dahlia not to be around civilians too much,” he explains.

Dahlia gasps, her eyes widen, “oh my gods I didn’t even think of that. If I stayed at the farmhouse they wouldn’t hesitate to kill ma or pa Kent to get to me.”

Batman nods his head. “It’s safer for everybody if you stick to only being around people in the hero community who can defend themselves until we confirm if the league is going to chase you. You should be careful too Superboy. We don’t know if the league knows it was you who helped Dahlia escaped them, so they might try to come after you.”

“we were outta there in a flash, I’d be shocked if they knew. But you’re probably right,”

No sense in risking Ma or Pa. Of course, to be sure that meant Superboy couldn’t go home to them. His mind drifted, maybe he could spend time with Lex. He was sort of able to defend himself, being a supervillain.

“How will you know if- when- the league is coming? Or when they’re not?”

“Never underestimate the League of assassins. You’d be amazed at how much they’re able to pick up on. It’s not to Batman’s level but it’s still extremely impressive,” Tim warns Kon.

Dahlia nods in agreement, “yeah a son you were in that room with me. I’m pretty sure every room in that place has some sort of surveillance.”

He cringed at that. Definitely couldn’t go home then. Kon’s body swayed to the side, stepping closer to his friend. His mind kept drifting even as he spoke.

“So, Dahlia’s set here with you guys. She’ll be safe. I’m always on call, like usual. What comes next?”

As fun as being absorbed into the family would be, Kon didn’t want to be running his entire life. There had to be a way to shake the league. Being in constant fear of what was around the corner would be awful for the Superboy brand.

“Well you could stay at the Young justice base or the manor until we figure out how much the league knows.” Tim suggests looking to Batman for confirmation. Batman nods, “you’re welcome at the manor so long as you’re careful and avoid the press. They’ve been around the manor more lately because of dahlia and Damian being in a recent art showcase.”

“…avoid the press. Right. You’re totally talking to the right guy for that,”

There was no heat behind the words but sarcasm didn’t stick to his voice either.

“Didn’t know they were in a showcase, that’s cool,” he mumbled aloud, bringing his hand up to cover his mouth slightly, running the pad of his finger over his lip while he thought.

“I gotta take a flight, clear my head. I’ll have to get back to you on where I’ll stay,”

“Be extremely careful to stay out of sight. The league of assassins is cunning and they could try to attack you while you’re flying. I don’t want to see you get hurt because you helped me,”
