some interesting details i noticed when rewatching shauna's birth scene!
after reassuring shauna that 'women have been having babies for millions of years' natalie kinda voluntells akilah to take over as the new midwife. akilah is seen to be very visibly panicked by this
travis both picks the skull altar off the wall and initiates making offerings to the wilderness in exchange for shauna's safety
lottie refers to wilderness baby as "our baby" during her pep talk to misty, however misty later tells shauna that she'll soon get to meet "her baby". even though no one besides shauna really corrects her, it's interesting that only(?) lottie tries to share ownership of the baby with shauna
during the prayer circle for shauna, travis cries slightly while chanting
later, tai puts a bone thing into shauna's hand and joins in with the praying. however she does stop when shauna mumbles 'no' and refocuses on telling shauna to breathe
natalie, misty, and akilah are the only ones shown to not join in with the prayer
when shauna 'wakes up' in her dream where her baby survives, lottie is stroking her forehead
for a portion of her dream, shauna's head in wrapped in a blue clothing item, possibly a sweater? (very virgin mary of her)
when shauna is searching for the baby, she stumbles onto the sacrifice altar & the camera lingers on it right before panning to the group eating the baby
the 'eaten baby' lump is on top of the blanket that lottie gave shauna during her baby shower (the one with the symbol on it)
immediately after running to her baby's bloody corpse, shauna wakes up and is told that he didn't make it by the people she just saw eating him with little to no remorse. i can only imagine how this increased her confusion & anger :(
tai is the last person to leave shauna when she's pleading with the group on why they can't hear him cry (she also hugs her before stepping away)
