Possibly the first time I draw wolf Link?
I've been thinking about how Epona's only response to Wolf Link is always "please turn human again". She's DESPERATE.

"thank you so, so much – truly, thank you for all the support. […] i practiced and competed for myself, always with the mindset that if i did everything i could and it still wasn’t enough, i would accept that reality. i feel very at peace. for now – if i may, i’d like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone who supported me. thank you so much for all your support!"
happy retirement to japan's WAKABA HIGUCHI! wakaba is a olympic silver medalist, a worlds silver medalist, and a six-time japanese nationals medalist. wakaba is the 17th woman to land a clean triple axel internationally and the fourth woman to land a clean triple axel at the olympics. outside of her jumping ability, wakaba is also known for her superb skating skills and infectious energy on ice.
i like this photo because it looks like i just told clefable we’re letting her go from her job were she’s been a loyal and dependable employee for 20 years
some royal jewels were stolen from the louvre which is unfortunate for historical reasons but you gotta appreciate a classic crime. so many crimes are online these days it’s nice to see heist culture is still alive
Uncomfortable facts of life:
Nobody's going to magically swoop in to rescue you. You can't just sit there and expect someone else to come save you. You have to get your shit together and do it yourself.
About 90% of the time, the "it" you have to do on your own is pushing yourself to walk up to someone else and use your words to say "hey I need help."
It’s wild bc part of me knows that the best thing I could do for myself/my future is to move back home and maybe go to law school but the problem is that moving back home=dealing with all the crazy shit going on in the us??? And idk that still kinda seems like a stupid move to make at a time when people are actively looking for a way out of the country
But I miss having family and friends nearby and this career path I’m on is absolutely not going anywhere
Me when someone else has a heavy accent when speaking English: That accent is charming and I can tell they put in a lot of effort to learn English.
Me when I have a heavy accent speaking another language: They are going to shoot me the second I open my mouth aren’t they
fuck terry pulling no punches in this one
Sir Terry Pratchett once again continues to be relevant
the secret to organising any kind of trip with your friends is to become the benevolent dictator. do NOT wait for everyone to provide a consensus on things before you book anything. do it and then ask for feedback after. do not ask people what they would like to do just tell them what is happening and let them all nod along like the sheep they are. this is the ONLY way to coordinate a group of adults in their 20s/30s

true love is giving your partner a gigantic ass scythe upon request
people refuse to understand the concept of "this isn't important to me but i understand why it might be important to other people"
or hell you dont even have to 'understand' or get it or agree with it you just need to understand that certain things you dont care about or dont matter to you are important to others. and you're not necessarily better or more correct for not caring
So I had a hysterectomy today (hooray!) and I brought along my stuffed orca, Shamu, as a comfort object. And everyone i interacted with during my pre-op was like "Oh! Who's this?" so I was telling them all about him, how he's been with me since I was 9 and gone on every single vacation and road trip, and they were telling me about their own stuffed buddies (one lady said she still has hers after 40 years!) and all of this while I was signing consent forms and providing a list of the things I'd brought with me, you know, small talk.
So then a nurse comes over and goes "Okay, I've got some stickers I'll put on your things so we know they're yours" and I'm like "OK cool" so she puts a sticker on my coat and stickers on my bags of clothes and then she turns to Shamu and I'm like "oh I guess he gets a sticker too"
But no. She pulls out a hospital bracelet that's an exact copy of mine and slaps it on his tail, like so:
And i was delighted by this, so I took a picture to send to my friends, who were equally delighted, and were cracking me up with their reactions (like so:)
Anyway, they take me back and put me under, and when I awake groggily a few hours later it takes me a minute to get my bearings, so I don't notice Shamu at first. But then I realize he's tucked up next to me in the gurney, so I grab him, and my hand touches gauze.
And I'm like "huh?" so I look at him and I realize
They gave my fucking orca a hysterectomy
you have to understand the glass shattering over my head i felt when THIS was the first message i saw from noa after his surgery

Echoes of Life Chiba Day 2 was a perfectly clean, energetic, and emotional show! Yuzu has surpassed himself once more (at this point I'm not even surprised).
