Top 5 ideas to fix Chicago?

1. Coaching change. If we are talking about multiple seasons performing below expectations - that’s on the head coach.

2. I would put DiBernardo and Colaprico on the market. I rate them both, but something needs to change and I think they both are underperforming and could find their fit elsewhere. I think they both also have some value still and Chi could probably get a strong creative player for them.

3. I’m so confused defensively. It’s a solid line-up. What’s wrong? Are the commentators right? Is it communication? It feels that way, but I’m sure it’s more than that. I think you could either give them time, or shop for a new CB to pair with T and push Sarah to right back. I kind of prefer her there.

4. I would find a creative international to sign to probably play in the midfield. Like Andressinha. Or maybe offer Portland some very giving package for Rocky Rodriguez.

5. That’s all I got. Chicago will get better even without changes. They often start rough, but they are just uninspiring and I hate that.

i want to see woldmoe get more minutes! not that she is going to fix chicago’s problems, but it’s clear that they are having major issues in midfield and why wouldn’t it hurt to change it up?

i prefer sarah at right back too. but yeah, their problems at midfield and forward aside, I have always thought chicago typically had a strong backline. they were better the second half, but still.

also, i would put dibernardo and colaprico on the market too. a change needs to happen in midfield ASAP. the focus is on forward, but i thought the midfield was a bigger problem than the defense today, honestly. portland ran through their midfield like it was nothing.

In addition to everything mentioned above, I think Chicago (whether it be coaching staff, players, or a mix of both) has become complacent.

I’ve heard time and time again about how “chicago always has a rocky start to the season” and how they “under perform at the beginning of the season but always wind up making the play offs any way.” It feels like at this point, Chicago has just accepted this, and as a fan its frustrating.

I just don’t see the fight/passion from Chicago lately. I know there is also speculation of locker room/leadership issues within the team and none of that would be surprising honestly.
