Hello everyone, this is my first attempt at blogging. Other than my interests, I will also write short reviews to T.V. series such as Teen Wolf and superhero shows. There was a lot to enjoy in this week’s Agents of Shield. The Absorbing Man returns, this time to aid Coulson and his team to stop whatever Gideon Malick has in store for the inhumans. We learn that there is an inside man that will probably thwart the conference. Hunter has second feelings working together with Kreel as he killed two of his friends back in season two. 

Coulson and Talbot walk in, the latter wearing a red dress. During the concusion of the meeting, Talbot sells Coulson out, stating that he is the head of H.Y.D.R.A. Of course, Coulson is captured and Malick introduces himself to the other members. It is revealed that Malick had kidnapped Talbot’s son and forced him to seell Coulson out. Luckily, the Absorbing Man comes to their rescue so that they are able to rescue his son and send Hunter and Bobby to tail Malick.

This week’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow took place in 19858 to do battle with Vandal Savage. We find out that Leonard did in fact freeze his partner for the sake of the team. 

In order to go under cover, Ray and Kendra go under cover as a married interracial couple. Kendra and Jax deal with racial discrimination as Sara deals with sexism. Though not very strong in terms of story development, this episode really does explore the problems of the old days. We see Jax manhandled because of his skin color while an arrogant woman assumed Kendra was a servant.

However, this episode was also good in regards to the fact that Savage really is creating an army to rule the world. Just when things seem to be getting back to normal, Kronos shows up to attack the Waverrider, forcing Rip to leave Ray, Sara, and Kendra in 1958.

The long-awaited season of Teen Wolf ended on an epic note. It seemed that most of our questions have finally been answered. We learn that the Dread Doctors are led by Marcel who’s sole mission is to bring back his beloved friend. But it seems that Sebastian doesn’t seem to care much for his friend’s sacrifice and death. Mason is alive and well thanks to the efforts of the pack. 

In this action packed episode, Malia and Braedon survive The Desert Wolf’s onslaught. Stiles (impaled by glass) hands Malia the Talons so that she can steal The Desert Wolf’s power. Scott and Liam are left to deal with Theo, The Beast, and Grandad Argent who is always up to no good. Deucalion reveals to be a double agent. It seems that Scott and Derek made the right choice of keeping him alive. When Deucalion was first introduced during season 5, I was doubtful that Deucalion would want to kill Scott again. As they say, he is a man of vision. Theo seemed to have a change of heart when the chimera werewolf/Kanima Tracy kiss. But it seems that Theo is only in love with power and himself as he kills her. Tracy deserved more than this. She was just an innocent girl that was experimented on by the Dread Doctors which drove her to kill her father. It was sad to say, but she died twice in the show, both of which were very gruesome.It was a releif to see Deucalion snap Theo’s neck and then to watch Kira send him to Hell. It seems that Theo was going to Hell and NOT going back. 

The most emotional scene was when Sebastian unwittingly accesses Scott’s memories. He sees Allison Argent played by Crystal Reed. Though deceased like his late sister, Sebastian goes into shock allowing Lydia and Scott to finish him off. After everything has ended, Stiles reminisces that Alison was still with them. It is a bitter sweet moment. The pack has grown even stronger but Kira has left them forever to gain control of her powers.

This episode of Gotham this week is arguably one of the darkest and saddest ones where Victor tires to save his dying wife. Last weeks’s episode picks up after Freeze realizes his formula actually works. Mr. Freeze is one of the iconic Batman villains and fans all over the world know his origin story too well. Originally, he was just a small time their who stole diamonds so that ha can pay for his wife’s medical bills. Batman chases him and eventually Freeze falls into a cyro-chamber.

In this Gotham version, Fries is just an ordinary guy with a big freeze gun. This version of Gotham holds him in a better light. He is shown to love his wife and is even willing to go to prison just to save his wife’s life. The wife on the other hand, wants to die and changes the vial so that she is frozen to death. But the best part of the show is when Dr. Hugo Strange manages to resurrect the poor man. Freeze’s hair has turned pure white and his eyes are blue. Once Strange equips his suit to withstand room temperature, Freeze will soon become a regular villain in the series. 

We get a view of so many of deceased villains that have appeared over the show such as Theo Galavan and Jerome Valaska who may not be the Joker anymore. But still, it leaves many fans still excited to see the return of Jerome because his laugh is just too irresistible. It is also rumored that Moony Fish will return and it will be interesting to see wether Butch Gilzean will still remain loyal to her. Last, Bruce has completely began his dark journey. He tells Selena that he will be the one who will kill the murdered of his parents. Even Selena seems a bit shocked at this statement. Bruce also demands a gun, a weapon that Batman would never use.

The Hell Hound is on Fire!!!

This week’s DC Legends of Tomorrow took quite an interesting turn. Even though last week’s episode Star City 2046 and this week’s Marooned were all fillers, they still managed to drop a ton of easter eggs. Captured aboard the Acheron, Captain Rip Hunter casually mentions that his second in command, Ray Palmer, or the Atom escaped from Imperiex, a super villain so dangerous that Superman had to create an elite team to stop. 

Despite the fact that this episode yielded no results in their efforts to stop Vandal Savage, it gives us an in-depth evaluation of Mic and Leonard’s partnership. Obviously still very steamed about his violent ejection from 2046, he volunteers to board the Acheron.  Mic gets increasingly violent when he and the rest of the group are in the cell. It doesn’t help that Hunter tells him that he has the IQ of a piece of meat. Mic finally snaps and defects to the side of the space pirates.

Meanwhile, Sara and Snart are freezing to death, Snart reveals to resurrected assassin Sarah Lance the day Mic saved his life. Though he does not say it, we can assume that deep down, he is eternally grateful. He also expresses regret that he had to resort to such crude tactics to drag his partner out of 2046. Sara comforts him, telling that Mic will come around. Unfortunately, this is not true. Mic brings the time pirate aboard the Waverrider and attempt to take over. Snart neutralises him and tells the team “I’ll take care of it.” 

Mic wakes up in the middle of an undistinguished woodland with Snart looking over him. His tells his “boss” that no matter what happens only one of them was walking out alive. Snart raises his cold gun and releases a blast of ice, leaving the rest of us withe the chill as the episode ends. It is highly doubtful that Snart would kill his long time partner for whom he has developed a brotherly bond with, but then again, he is a master criminal, and that makes him highly unpredictable. Snart’s character has developed drastically and he has seem to take on the characteristics of a hero though Mic still believes that he is the same punk kid he saved in juvie. 

This episode is indeed much more grim than the others. Mic’s betrayal could potentially cause him to defect to Savage. Wether this is true or not, it is safe to infer that Vandal Savage will not be stopped by the end of season 1.

And once again Marvel’s Agent Peggy Carter has come to an end. Doctor Jason Wilkes is saved though some fans may not be so pleased after he aimed a gun to Peggy’s head. Whitney has been neutralized and detained. And best of all, Sousa and Peggy finally kissed though Violet would not be happy if she knew. Howard Stark even showed up again to remind everyone who the smartest, richest, and best looking man was. But just when things seem to be getting back to normal, Thomson is fatally shot by a mysterious assailant who takes the mysterious war file on Peggy. Overall, this season was great. In season one, all life in New York would have perished but now, the fate of the entire world is at stake. 

Due to Peggy’s ties with Captain America, S.H.E.I.L.D, and H.Y.D.R.A, it really makes me wonder that Marvel has in store for Marvels Agents of Shield. I mean with Obelisk and Whitehall, who knows what familiar people or artifacts or even powers might appear. It is also worth considering the role of Joseph Manfredi who has the same name of Blackwing’s alias. Could there be some connection or is it just simply coincidence? It could work due to the fact that Blackwing has no powers and either does he. He is also a notable enemy of Black Widow, Nick Fury, also Daredevil. Could this be another attempt to bring Daredevil into something bigger? Then there is the eccentric Russian assassin Dottie Underwood. We already know that she has a connection with Black Widow, being trained in the Red Room together. She has once again eluded capture and is off the grid. But the greatest tie in will with Doctor Strange and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Zero matter, or Dark Force has already been introduced in SHIELD through Marcus Daniels, an escapee from the Fridge. In this rendition, Team Coulson defeated him by using the energy of a Gamma Power Reserve made by Dr. Banner. 

Along with some great humor and spectacular animations, this is just, in my opinion, one of the best shows out there and I am eagerly anticipating for season three to arrive.
