Protesting is a FELONY in Tennessee nowâŠFacism at itâs finest (x)
Iâm sorry, but people need to know this. This is LITERALLY the most blatant telltale sign of totalitarianism and this needs to be spread like wildfire. DO NOT LOOK AWAY.
Hereâs an actual link, since the one above seems to just go to Reddit:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/08/13/tennessee-camping-felony-capitol/%3foutputType=amp
âThis is all about criminalizing peaceful protesting,â said Justin Jones, an organizer of the protesters who have camped at the state capito
Itâs important to point out that protesting generally hasnât been made a felony, but rather the camping that the protestors are doing (and the legislation also includes other things to discourage protesting).
This is still really bad though, because the right to peaceful protest is protected in the Constitution, and even if protesting isnât outlawed outright the government is still criminalizing an act of peaceful protest just because itâs a protest.
Furthermore:
According to tn.gov felons in Tennessee lose their right to vote. This is called Felony Disenfranchisement
So this means that the Tennessee government just passed legislation that would render the protestors unable to vote.
Iâm sorry lemme repeat that again
the Tennessee government just passed legislation thar would render the protestors unable to vote
Have you ever wanted MOVIES free?
GET OUT!!!!!! GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!!!! I DONâT WANT YOU HERE!!!!!! GO AWAY!!!!!!!!! I AM SO SICK OF YOU!!!!!!!!
In 15 seconds of dialogue Francis Wilkerson sums up whatâs wrong with how women are criticized in our society and itâs great
I literally remember when this aired and something clicked in my head. He was putting to words what I kept seeing over and over in media without apology or explanation
only thing i agree with dads on is when it rains and they say âwe needed thatâ bc like. we did

People think it's weird that Pikachu got slimmer throughout the years but at least it wasn't as bad as Hamtaro.

I think people arenât giving the internet enough credit.
You grow up being told how great capitalism is and then you get online and find out that people in other countries have the same standard of living we do but without the constant fear of bankruptcy.
You grow up thinking âgoing to the doctor is expensive, donât get sick and if you do donât go until youâre sure you HAVE toâ and then you find out most of the developed world can go to the doctor for free, or at least for a very affordable rate.
You grow up thinking âWork hard and be successful and you can retire at 65 and travel a little.â and then you get online and find out pretty much all of Europe gets weeks and weeks of vacation time a year and is doing their travelling in their 20s and 30s and loving it.
The list goes on and on. I grew up in the conservative south and it wasnât an uncommon conversation starter when I was a kid for people to open up with things like âWhat church do you go to?â and so thatâs what I thought the world was. Church and working for the weekend and be careful to save your pennies and not splurge and donât get sick. It wasnât until the internet appeared that I realized how differently a lot of people live and how much more appealing a lot of that sounded.
When you hear that someone else had a kid and it didnât cost them any money, got a year off to raise it, gets free daycare, and goes to spain twice a year for vacation itâs pretty hard to still feel content with your 60 hour work week, 2 weeks off a year that youâre discouraged from actually using, and health insurance as your second biggest monthly bill.]
And from a European perspective, you grow up hearing everybody talking about how great the US is (because we get a lot of American TV and films, and America as a nation never seems to neglect an opportunity to blow its own trumpet) and people talking about how we should be more like them, and then you hear stuff like thisâŠ
This German Kindergarten
every building built mainly for children should be fucking weird like this i cant even imagine how much happier my memories of early childhood would be if i could look back on having gone to kindergarten in a big ol cat
