We have Love And Passion (the unofficial TL calls it Hobby and Zeal?), a one shot narrated from Tashiro's point of view about his time in the ping pong club. That's the main focus of the chapter (in two parts), but here, Tashiro mentions that Shirahama, his friend since middle school, is the source of his ping pong woes and everything is his fault. Lmaoooo There's a cute little meetup in the train near the end.

My absolute hottest take is that, from a culturally relative perspective, no food is bad. None of it. It's an expression of culture, art, history, ecology, material conditions, subjective taste. It's all inedible pap to somebody and the taste of childhood for someone else. Americans be eating cheesed burger. Pea wet is as good as gravy in Wigan. The French eat snails and the Inuit eat seal, the Germans eat sauerkraut and the Russians drink kvass, the Inca ate cavy and the Romans ate flamingo. People around the world have been eagerly awaiting their serving of simple bread or thin porridge or fermented milk product or pickled whatever-the-fuck since we learned to cook food over fire. We all love the slop we grew up eating. Food is a reflection of millennia of culture and loving human artistic expression. Attempting to extrapolate largely harmless online food banter into actual serious comparative rankings or half-baked critical analyses of cultures based on how much you subjectively don't like what they eat is a miserable way to live. Live a little. Peace and love on the only planet with food.

been having a serious physical health problem for many years that is recently very quickly getting worse and as I undergo more tests and procedures while the problem actively gets worse, I got stuck having a serious talk about "purchasing at home accommodations" while they figure out whats wrong with my stomach and work out a treatment plan, because the costs of hospitalizing me for further testing/treatment instead for the unforeseeable futurewould ruin me, so I'm looking up some of the things she suggested, pricing shit out, and god half of this stuff was already out of the question because I am still displaced and man, and this is still technically cheaper than hospital bills, but I simply cannot save up/raise the money to get any of this in a timely manner

since asking for help requires a certain level or transparency, and im struggling with every aspect of life rn with finances and job/housing crises, basically I have a very serious medical condition, one I've had for a little over a decade. they haven't figured out the cause yet but seeking treatment has been an ongoing battle, one that in the meantime Ive gotten significantly worse. the main symptom is nausea and uncontrollable vomiting. I spend a lot of the day every day hunched over the toilet and vomiting until there's nothing left in my system, and then just nonstop empty heaving restricting breathing, sometimes until I pass out. I can not hold down any food, and very few drinks. this causes serious abdominal pain, lethargy/fatigue, and damage to the muscular structure of my digestive system. I've been undergoing serious tests and procedures since November.

due to circumstances I am currently displaced, i lost or sold basically all my belongings. I don't have any proper furniture or bedding, and am currently job hunting trying to survive on meager disability pay while I job search, undergo tests and treatments for a yet to be identified illness growing in severity, and search for housing and apply to wait lists, and finding a home and a job while I undergo tests is taking a lot longer than I'd hoped (it's been like 10 months and it's still ongoing) so my GI talked to me about purchasing some at home accommodations to help me where I am as I'm treated and gave me some stuff to look up to help ease problems, and it's becoming clearer every day that I do need at least some kind of easily accessible sleeper and overbed table, because I currently sleep on an air mattress on the floor and it is actively detrimental to my physical condition, and hindering any online work I can do because i cannot currently access my computer from bed. I'm running ragged on ways to find help while I job hunt, I know these posts are annoying and I apologize for that, but I'd really appreciate any help in getting some of these just to make shit more accessible where i am and ease pain and discomfort. my links
