This is creepy-cool. Alas, no one will watch it because it isn't a fucking .gif.
I have made my bed In charnels and on coffins, where black death Keeps record of the trophies won from thee, Hoping to still these obstinate questionings Of thee and thine, by forcing some lone ghost Thy messenger, to render up the tale Of what we are.
Percy Bysshe Shelley
“Alastor”
“I have associates here. Nobody is really a friend. I consider you my friend though. I don’t feel the need to get other’s approval. I don’t feel the need for people to like me. I don’t feel the need to meet people’s expectations. In short, society can suck my dick” - Richard Ramírez on a letter to a pen pal of his.

The Stomach-Churning Art of Fabio Magalhaes
Fabio Magalhaes is one sick, but rad dude. The Brazilian artist’s highly realistic oil paintings are grotesque and morbid, yet – like a car crash – you can’t help but keep your eyes glued to them. He paints what you’d imagine gruesome evidence photos would look like of a psychopathic serial killer’
He paints inconceivable acts and positions in a truly gruesome yet astonishing manner. In which, he creates contours of a very disturbing reality. His hyper-realistic rendering and conditions, metaphorically connects images of his own body, feelings and banal situations. source: mashkulture & emptykingdom
Still, so still, in the city tonight, twelve o'clock tick-tock, when all that is good slinks away like a beaten dog and the black black shadows are alive with the dead, twisted poetry in broken English, flesh and blood and staring faces… So grey and despairing, strong as steel but collapsed inside, The Crow laughs under a street light, a voodoo smile of one who lived and died and still yet lives… He makes his way home where he can be shapeless in the dark and paint his face in the colours of joy… Tonight, Hell sends an angel bearing gifts…

In 2015, a group of hikers stumbled across this “devil tree” near Defiance, Ohio. There were pillars of flames burning inside the trunk of the hollow tree, however there appeared to be no fire damage on the outside of the tree.
Sparrow Falls, Louisiana is a dangerous place to live.
Tobias Dunwalton has lived in Sparrow Falls his entire life and is used to the bizarre happenings in the area. At least until strange things start happening to him, too. Tobias is an outcast and a misfit, which in Sparrow Falls means he should fit right in. Yet even among all the other freaks and weirdos, he stands out. He always has. There’s something about Tobias most people don’t like though he’s never been able to figure out what that is. Now, however, someone has taken a very dangerous interest in him. One that could prove fatal if he doesn’t figure out the mystery of what is going on in time.
Jeremy Harris has lived many different lives and died many violent deaths, always alone. In this life, Jeremy is the original serial killer of Sparrow Falls. He doesn’t think of them as murders though. He thinks of them as necessary sacrifices. They are the only way he has to call out to a god he is beginning to think has forgotten him. Driven mad by the constant cycle of rebirth he’s been damned to, Jeremy is determined to have the one thing he truly desires: a life lived in full with his beloved god beside him at long last.
Set on a collision course toward each other, Tobias and Jeremy will learn something they’ve always suspected: maybe salvation and oblivion are one and the same for some people.
The second installment of Justine Sebastian’s nail-biting suspense thriller series is guaranteed to keep you up well past your bedtime and haunt your dreams.

This is the Mendenhall Glacier, a magnificent 13-mile-long sheet of ice formed some 3,000 years ago. It’s the most famous of Alaska’s ice floes, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year to see its vast, frozen expanse.
Few visitors, however, see the glacier from its most spectacular vantage point: inside it. Deep within the glacier, there’s a magical blue world of ice caves unlike anything you’ve seen anywhere else in the world.
These are the Mendenhall Ice Caves. They exist only because the glacier is melting — and as you can guess, glaciers don’t keep on melting forever.
As the ice melts, the glacier shrinks in size and appears to recede away from the lake. Naturalists estimate that within a few years the glacier will retreat onto land and within 25 years retreat out of view entirely from the observation area. (Source)
This is beautiful, but it is also fucked because of why this is even possible. Beauty from destruction--hell, death, because. Well. Strange how not many people seem to think about that part. *shudder*
“Killing the Love” — Anne Sexton
Killing the Love
I am the love killer, I am murdering the music we thought so special, that blazed between us, over and over. I am murdering me, where I kneeled at your kiss. I am pushing knives through the hands that created two into one. Our hands do not bleed at this, they lie still in their dishonor. I am taking the boats of our beds and swamping them, letting them cough on the sea and choke on it and go down into nothing. I am stuffing your mouth with your promises and watching you vomit them out upon my face. The Camp we directed? I have gassed the campers.
Now I am alone with the dead, flying off bridges, hurling myself like a beer can into the wastebasket. I am flying like a single red rose, leaving a jet stream of solitude and yet I feel nothing, though I fly and hurl, my insides are empty and my face is as blank as a wall.
Shall I call the funeral director? He could put our two bodies into one pink casket, those bodies from before, and someone might send flowers, and someone might come to mourn and it would be in the obits, and people would know that something died, is no more, speaks no more, won't even drive a car again and all of that.
When a life is over, the one you were living for, where do you go?
I'll work nights. I'll dance in the city. I'll wear red for a burning. I'll look at the Charles very carefully, wearing its long legs of neon. And the cars will go by. The cars will go by. And there'll be no scream from the lady in the red dress dancing on her own Ellis Island, who turns in circles, dancing alone as the cars go by.
— Anne Sexton
“Darkness” — Lord Byron
Darkness
I had a dream, which was not all a dream. The bright sun was extinguish’d, and the stars Did wander darkling in the eternal space, Rayless, and pathless, and the icy earth Swung blind and blackening in the moonless air; Morn came and went—and came, and brought no day, And men forgot their passions in the dread Of this their desolation; and all hearts Were chill’d into a selfish prayer for light: And they did live by watchfires—and the thrones, The palaces of crowned kings—the huts, The habitations of all things which dwell, Were burnt for beacons; cities were consum’d, And men were gather’d round their blazing homes To look once more into each other’s face; Happy were those who dwelt within the eye Of the volcanos, and their mountain-torch: A fearful hope was all the world contain’d; Forests were set on fire—but hour by hour They fell and faded—and the crackling trunks Extinguish’d with a crash—and all was black. The brows of men by the despairing light Wore an unearthly aspect, as by fits The flashes fell upon them; some lay down And hid their eyes and wept; and some did rest Their chins upon their clenched hands, and smil’d; And others hurried to and fro, and fed Their funeral piles with fuel, and look’d up With mad disquietude on the dull sky, The pall of a past world; and then again With curses cast them down upon the dust, And gnash’d their teeth and howl’d: the wild birds shriek’d And, terrified, did flutter on the ground, And flap their useless wings; the wildest brutes Came tame and tremulous; and vipers crawl’d And twin’d themselves among the multitude, Hissing, but stingless—they were slain for food. And War, which for a moment was no more, Did glut himself again: a meal was bought With blood, and each sate sullenly apart Gorging himself in gloom: no love was left; All earth was but one thought—and that was death Immediate and inglorious; and the pang Of famine fed upon all entrails—men Died, and their bones were tombless as their flesh; The meagre by the meagre were devour’d, Even dogs assail’d their masters, all save one, And he was faithful to a corse, and kept The birds and beasts and famish’d men at bay, Till hunger clung them, or the dropping dead Lur’d their lank jaws; himself sought out no food, But with a piteous and perpetual moan, And a quick desolate cry, licking the hand Which answer’d not with a caress—he died. The crowd was famish’d by degrees; but two Of an enormous city did survive, And they were enemies: they met beside The dying embers of an altar-place Where had been heap’d a mass of holy things For an unholy usage; they rak’d up, And shivering scrap’d with their cold skeleton hands The feeble ashes, and their feeble breath Blew for a little life, and made a flame Which was a mockery; then they lifted up Their eyes as it grew lighter, and beheld Each other’s aspects—saw, and shriek’d, and died— Even of their mutual hideousness they died, Unknowing who he was upon whose brow Famine had written Fiend. The world was void, The populous and the powerful was a lump, Seasonless, herbless, treeless, manless, lifeless— A lump of death—a chaos of hard clay. The rivers, lakes and ocean all stood still, And nothing stirr’d within their silent depths; Ships sailorless lay rotting on the sea, And their masts fell down piecemeal: as they dropp’d They slept on the abyss without a surge— The waves were dead; the tides were in their grave, The moon, their mistress, had expir’d before; The winds were wither’d in the stagnant air, And the clouds perish’d; Darkness had no need Of aid from them—She was the Universe.
— Lord Byron
Are you an introvert? You might relate to this page: Introvert Problems Facebook Page
I know that these posts are intended to be something along the lines of oh, you’re an introvert? That’s okay and here’s why… Or you know/are friends with an introvert? Let me unlock the secrets for you… BUT I have been seeing these posts about introverts for months now and after a while it doesn’t read positively to me at all. It reads like introverts are these freaks of nature that need constant reassurance that they are not freaks of nature or that people who are not introverts and are “normal” need to take lessons about how to interact with them. Frankly, it’s fucking insulting. How about the posts instructing us introverts of the world on the care and feeding of type A extrovert personality sorts? I have yet to see any of those.
What JL Aarne said. I find it totally offensive that there needs to be a handbook to “deal” with introverts, but there’s nothing out there telling introverts how to deal with extroverted assclowns screaming in your face to “CHEER UP!” or “SMILE!” or “LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!” because apparently I look suicidal? Depressed? But not like I want to punch you in the face. Point being, introvert or not, I can take care of myself and I don’t appreciate all the handy-dandy guides on “how to handle introverts”. I don’t need to be handled, thanks so much. This is another case of people thinking they’re helping some poor, misunderstood group of people when frankly, a lot of introverts (like all those other poor, misunderstood people) don’t need your fucking help. Piss off. I will add, however, that if you’re freaked out by leaving the house then honestly, that’s not introversion; that’s budding agoraphobia stemming from anxiety that likely doesn’t have nearly as much to do with being introverted as you might think. Fuck it. Shutting up now because this is a waste of time.

Exile
Mathematicians still don’t understand the ball our hands made, or how
your electrocuted grandparents made it possible for you to light my cigarettes with your eyes.
It isn’t as simple as me climbing into the window to leave six ounces of orange juice
and a doughnut by the bed, or me becoming the sand you dug your toes in,
on the beach, when you wished to hide them from the sun and the fixed eyes
of strangers, and your breath broke in waves over my earlobe, splashing through my head, spilling out
over the opposite lobe, and my first poems under your door in the unshaven light of dawn:
Your eyes remind me of a brick wall about to be hammered by a drunk driver. I’m that driver. All night I’ve swallowed you in the bar.
Once I kissed the scar, stretching its sealed eyelid along your inner arm, dried
raining strands of hair, full of pheromones, discovered all your idiosyncratic passageways, so I’d know
where to run when the cops came. Your body is the country I’ll never return to.
The man in charge of what crosses my mind will lose fingernails for not turning you
away at the border. But at this moment when sweat tingles from me, and
blame is as meaningless as shooting up a cow with milk, I realize my kisses filled the halls of your body
with smoke, and the lies came like a season. Most drunks don’t die in accidents
they orchestrate, and I swallowed a hand grenade that never stops exploding.

The brain is what it is because of the structural and functional properties of interconnected neurons. Your brain contains between 80 and 100 billion neurons, about as many stars in our galaxy.
