Okay I'll bite whats a hug buddy?

SCREAM

A hug buddy (some people say hugging partner; losers say scrum partners) is who you grab on the opposing team when a fight breaks out. It stops the primary fight from turning into a brawl or like a 4 on 1 situation. Most people just grab their jersey, some people hold hands, some people actually hug.

I've noticed over the years that Quinn holds people around the neck, for whatever reason. Sort of a silly move considering his height but it does work so what do I know.

You'll of course see people actually having to pull a hug buddy out of the scrum or hold them back, but most of the time they're just spectating the fight together.

Everyone will be elated to know that I am staying off the ice for the rest of the week (it’s Friday) to tend to personal matters (writing fanfic).

Dev camps are done for this season. I got to meet so many really cool new talents. I hope they all have a great season back at college or in their development leagues. Such sweeties. They’re going to do great in the NHL one day :)

Now time for D1 and D2 camps, which are my least favorite and so exhausting. The transition from travel team and triple A skating to high level power skating really whoops their asses and it isn’t as fun of days.

A month and a half before big boys camp where I get to be “as needed” speed coach and that’s my faaaave! On the ice two hours tops. No one bothers me. Plenty of snacks.

No shot we are going into my 7th season skate coaching. It feels like I started last week lol

I feel like some people need to relearn Genre Expectations... "Man, this tragedy sucks!!! Why didn't they just do XYZ, then everything could have ended happily!!" well, then it wouldn't be a tragedy, would it. "Man, this lighthearted teen romcom is terrible, it's so sappy and unrealistic!!" Well, yeah. If it had been gritty and dark, it wouldn't have been a lighthearted romcom, would it. Is the writing actually bad or are you just trying to order a milkshake from a Home Depot
