The once darkside Force-User DARTH VADER has started a holonet blog, exploring the various details of his life, as seen throughout the holodocumentaries of his life (the dubbed STAR WARS), with the implication that his status as a FORCE-GHOST was short lived, and he is now living life again a a possible THE ONES-like entity.
Together, they brave the challenges, the questions, the dangers and the Memes of the holonet…
[ hello, author here. i don’t normally pop up but i’m just gonna come in and say a few stuff, in order to make interactions smoother in the future ]
[ so i’m going to have to get serious and lay down some ground rules ]
[ discussion of them will be below. If you’ve come here to interact with vader, well, you’ve come to do a lot of reading anyway ]
[ before anything else, the blog is rated M for mature. ]
[ i like keeping things light, occasionally diving into serious stuffs as needed or challenged. this is something that is going to come with playing the character of Darth Vader. this character is culturally legendary, from his first appearance in 1979 in “Star Wars” (Later renamed A New Hope), and has spent the last 60 years enjoying quite a lot of fame, and even becoming a trope archetype in his own right ]
[ he can be taken seriously and with respect, because he’s ultimately a character who did his job and did it well--as the ultra scary dark magical knight, and then was one of many reasons Star Wars even survived the 1980s ]
[ and he can be taken as a joke--he’s been just as joked at as he has been respect. everyone has made pot shots at him, and some of those potshots were hilariously fantastic. see movie “Space Balls” ]
[ and let’s face it-- its fun to play the bad guy, and even more fun to play a redeemed bad guy. ]
[ what’s not fun, is placing an excessive amount of seriousness regarding the fictional events a fictional character has participating in. ]
[ look. this guy? He’s been in science-fantasy films, he’s got space magic, he’s been kids toys, comics, and hell, when i was little, i dressed up as him for halloween once ]
[ but because many don’t understand what that means, or if they do, they don’t understand in time to stop themselves from hurting me or each other, there will be rules ]
1. There will be no public in depth discussion regarding the events of Operation Knightfall. Once was enough, and I’m not doing that again (And I should have dropped the thread the first time, but well, I’m human and I get caught up in the moment)
Operation Knightfall was the March on the Jedi Temple, depicted in the film “Revenge of the Sith”.
Because this event occurred with this character at the forefront, I can’t drop it entirely. (Damn it George Lucas--)
But I will restrict and bottleneck what is said here. What that means, is that I’m not going to discuss it in any depth. Inspite of its fiction, the events surrounding this particular event, as well as when it premiered (The movie came out in 2005), means that there is no possible way I can respectfully RP through or around this. There are Modern and Historic Real World connotations for what happened in this film, and for your and my safety and sanity, neither I or the character will discuss this.
2. I will not discuss Real World Politics.
The thing about the Galactic Empire is that its Fictional. Its the Evil Empire in all the stories, you can give it any amount of evil things to do to ensure to the audience knows that they’re EVIL (insert maniacal laughter with lightning bolt here).
This can be anywhere from blowing up Alderaaan (Again) with the 1950s B-Side Super Ultra Mega Weapon (Remember kids, Evil comes in Round Shapes), or Stealing Candy from the Candy store, or cursing a peculiarly color’d platypus with a nice fedora (CURSE YOU PERRY).
But that’s all it is. I will not discuss any Politics here. Trust me, there’s no way it’d end peacefully. Heck, even in the real world, it still hasn’t ended peacefully. We’ve spent thousands of years ensuring it will never end peacefully. It is not a peaceful thing, politics.
Doesn’t make for good entertainment here, so I’m not doing it.

[ i’ll prolly think of more as i go along, but i’m not that big of a rules person. its a lot of work and i generally feel its better to respect and be respected in turn--or at least try my darndest not to be the biggest sleemo on this side of tattooine. ]
@indecisivepsyche wanted to see Piett being something other than stoic. Since I’ve always thought this man looked like he hadn’t gotten a good night’s sleep since he was eight years old, I thought him falling asleep on the job would be a perfect fit~
