for those of you who haven't been keeping up with Riku's VA streaming Kingdom Hearts:
he is using a rare mage build
he calls trinity marks "banksies"
he is obsessed with sending the postcards
every time Kairi appears or is mentioned he gets audibly miffed because she jokingly suggested taking the raft without Riku and now he's mad at her
he similarly hates Donald for putting the kibosh on Riku coming with them in the Gummi Ship. he calls him "the duck" and kicks him out of his party whenever possible.
he is the type of gamer who meticulously combs the map thinking up abstract solutions to simple puzzles
he ships Merlin and the Fairy Godmother
he says Riku fills his pants with water and keeps fish in there
Riku character understanders are eating well this week. x
Not joking, here's part 1. To be clear, it's the english VA, David Gallagher, and he still sounds just like Riku, it's great. No idea how long he's been doing gaming streams, but it looks like he's been at it for awhile, though he only just got around to KH, he just started KH1 a few days ago. Absolutely wild, what a time to be alive.
What driving feels like
Wish I could quit social media entirely, but sometimes it's the only way to connect, get informed and organized, and share art. Dunno who's still around, but I'm lurking here again and on other accounts. It's been a whole decade since I've been on here and I forgot that my blog used to be personal, but also about art, anime, kpop, and Kingdom Hearts. But ironically, it's Kingdom Hearts that taught me to treasure connections, fight for something greater for myself and learn to navigate emotions and nuance in people's lives. Everything is chaotic, but hope everyone's doing the best they can, finding community in their lives, and helping each other.
via NYPost: Immigration and Customs Enforcement is preparing to launch a “big f–king operation” across sanctuary cities — including Chicago and New York — immediately after President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, multiple sources told The Post.
Starting Jan. 21, multi-day “ground operations” will be launched across cities that have served as safe havens for migrants because the local authorities do not cooperate with the federal government when it comes to immigration issues, sources said.

I love my job, but reblogging employment jelly for someone else I love.
Somebody had to actually dig the holes in the movie ‘Holes’.
that’s what interns are for
Builds character
His name is Tim Everett.
He plotted all of the holes in “Holes” using 3D modeling. He also supervised the production of all the lizards in the same movie.
He built the storm in “The Perfect Storm” and now he’s the Hollywood go-to guy for water effects. The whirlpool in Pirates of the Caribbean? Tim fucking Everett. They asked for him by name.
He’s the man who taught me how to model mountains and light caves. He showed me how to frame a scene in classical 3-field vignetting. He is a hard ass when it comes to lazy work, and he is one of the most amazing artists I have ever had the pleasure to present my work to.
That someone believes some poor intern had to dig all those holes is a testament to his work. Tim Everett is an environmental guru.
Someone did dig all of those holes.

Holy crap. Now that’s dedication.

I hope you heal from that thing you didn’t think was a big deal but slowly impacted your life significantly.

Sometimes we have to shift our way of thinking from being happy when we reach X to finding pieces of happiness now. It's not always possible, as sometimes that big goal can help us reach a more stable environment, and in those cases, it's okay to stay more focused on it. As much as we can, let's remember that life is filled with all the little moments we make of it, and let's spend it with things that fill our hearts!

I don’t know what we did to deserve Mr. Rogers but I’m so glad we had him.
