Thor returns to Midgard after the long battle against the God Butcher. On one of his stops around the world, he brings fantastical gifts to a group of children.

A little girl on an alien planet prays for Thor's help to fight the drought that plagues her people. He answers. He brings his storms, spends time with the people, and tucks her in, then learns that all the gods of her planet have died. After defeating the God Butcher, he returns to her, as he promised he would, with new gods who needed a home.

The town of Broxton, Oklahoma has been destroyed in the conflict between Thor and the Roxxon Corporation. Thor kneels before a little girl as he and the gods of Asgard ask if they may help clean up the mess Thor feels he's caused. Before Asgard finally returns to the stars, Thor tears his own great hall from the ground and bestows it to the people of Broxton. He tells the little girl to choose a room, and she runs towards it in excitement.
