thought i'd get on here and make a young silco rp blog

basically pre-betrayal

he's a la-la dreamer in my head and in my heart.

Silco stomps into the bar, his footfalls were more exhausted than angry.

"Vander," he greets as he slumps down on a bar stool, taking his helmet off and attempting to place it on the stool next to him. the minimal effort he put forth was returned by the way the object fell to the ground at the feet of his stool.

he was too tired to grab it so instead he just leaned his head down on the bar.

"it's a red wine occasion." he grumbled.

with a small chuckle, vander dries his hands on the towel he was holding and throws it onto his shoulder, bending down to fetch silco’s wine and fill a glass with it.

“anything else i can do for you, milady?” he says, theatrical, as he moves to the other side of the bar to retrieve the helmet from the ground and rest it on the counter.

"'m alright" he mutters, lifting his head to look at Vander. he was quite tired after such a long workday.

"Just the wine will suffice, barkeep." the corners of his mouth twitched up into the best smile he could muster.

smiling in sympathy, vander leans a little closer to silco, taking his chin between his fingers gently and pressing a slow, chaste kiss to his lips. he rests his head against the other’s for a little while, simply breathing in the simple closeness.

“does that help?”

He closed his eyes at the intimate act, his expression one of comfort.

A sappy love song played on the juke box, making Silco chuckle a little.

"Thank you." he mumbled.

“always.” he mumbles, laying another kiss to his lips before leaning back again. he looks at the jukebox in the corner of the room and a smile creeps up onto his lips.

vander runs his thumb over his knuckles, squeezing silco’s hand lightly before giving him a small mock-bow.

“can i have this dance?”

he rolled his eyes a little, the motion holding no animosity.

"Vander, I'm tired." he chuckles.

vander rests his arm against silco’s collar, standing behind him and gently letting his head fall and land on his shoulder. he chuckles.

“you don’t have to get up.” the hand not gripping silco’s takes hold of his hip, thumb lightly running back and forth over the fabric of his shirt

Silco smiles softly, trying his best to stay awake despite his exhaustion. he squeezed Vander's hand gently, the two fit together like puzzle pieces it seemed.

"Good, because I'm not going to get up." he laughs breathily, his fatigue clear.

he raises his head to press a kiss to the crown of his head, whispering comforting words into it. “the mines are awful, but at least you’re home. with me.”

He sunk into Vander like a wet dog, giving him a soft glare.

"the floor is also awful, and that's where i'll be if you knock the stool over." he grumbled, his words didn't hold any hostility.

“if you fall, we’ll fall together,” he chuckles, relishing in the closeness and holding silco to his chest. “you’re gonna be fine.”

"Poor Silco, died of exhaustion and being crushed to death by his boyfriend." he mock sobs, "his alcoholism and bad advice will be missed."

He quiets down for a moment, despite his complaints he stayed glued to Vander - his eyes trained on their hands.

with a kiss to his temple, vander hums, nodding along to his words without much thought to it.

“oh Janna, how will his boyfriend ever live without him? that sounds positively awful.”

"It's fine, he's not going down without a fight." he nods, "If the oaf tries anything he'll like- stab him or something."

Silco flexes his fingers in the grasp, "How Shakespearean. Though I suppose that would be incentive for the boyfriend not to kill him." he chuckles a little, the sound quiet and laced with exhaustion.

with an easy smile, vander runs his thumb over silco’s knuckles, free hand absentmindedly twirling a strand of black hair. he kisses the crown of his head a few times as he speaks, breaking his sentences into small chunks.

“thankfully i don’t think he’ll need to, the boyfriend is too smitten to ever think of living without him.”

"Well good because I think he would be horribly depressed if he had to hurt the boyfriend." He smiles, his nose crinkled slightly at the action.

"It would be a shame to hurt the boyfriend's pretty face."

he gives silco a strong kiss to the cheek, nuzzling into him like a dog asking for scratches. his hands cradle the other’s smaller body to his, holding him close and gently nudging his nose along the side of his neck.

“what a shame it would be…” he hums, breathing in the scent of sweat and work and silco for a few seconds before continuing. “feeling a bit better?”

"Now that I've planned a murder/suicide? Of course." he chuckles, the sound breathy and tired.

"I'll finish my wine and help you clean." he mumbles. His hands moved to hold Vander's face; the callused palms rested on his cheeks.

the smile that envelops vander’s features is almost sickeningly sweet, and he breathes a light kiss atop silco’s nose with a gentle chuckle.

“it’s no bother, i can do it by myself,” he smiles, soft and crooked and lopsided. “you just sit back and relax.”

He crinkles his nose in a smile again, "Oh? Well in that case I'll take a Vodka martini so I can watch you work."

He rubs their noses together before playfully pushing Vander away from his stool. He took a few sips of his wine and sat there with a shit-eating grin on his face.

picking up a discarded rag and walking back behind the counter, vander starts on his new duty of cleaning the bartop with a smile on his face.

“anything else you want to add to your order? an olive on a skewer, perhaps? an orange slice?” he jokes.

"a skewer of olives? of course not, i want a bowl." he tilts his head up in mock pride, "I'm hungry."

he finishes his wine and places the glass down, running his finger along the brim of the cup and smiling a little at the sound it makes. he leans his head on one arm and swings his legs back in forth.

vander smiles fondly at the sight, rolling his eyes jokingly as he turns around, fetches a bowl of peanuts, places them in front of silco and continues to wipe down the counter without a second thought.

“that’s the best you’re getting here, house special.”

He laughed out loud at the sorry display, snorting a little before covering his mouth to cease the noise.

"This will not do!" he raises his chin in mock disgust, "I must have my olives. How else will I keep up my youthful complexion? I am almost 30 you know." he attempts to whip his hair over his shoulder in a cool manner but just ends up getting it in his face again.

"I will settle for a skewer of olives, if you haven't enough." he clears his throat, grinning a little.

“still sounding remarkably like a kid for someone who’s almost 30, aren’t you?” laughing, vander leaves the rag atop the counter and beds to look through one of the bottom shelves. upon finding a sealed jar of olives, he opens it with ease and places the jar in front of silco.

“here you are, now stop whining and let me finish my job, hm?”

"Thank you, young man." he tilts his imaginary hat to Vander with a smile on his lips.

"I try my best to stay youthful; olives are the secret to immortality, actually." he smiles, popping a few in his mouth, "my mother liked olives, it's how she stayed so beautiful i think." he nodded.

The rare occasions in which Silco spoke about his mother were few and far between - they usually occurred at times like this - when he was a little drunk and a lot tired.

his face softens at the mention of silco’s mother, finishing up his job on the counter and moving to washing the cups that had been left at the sink through the night. humming in accordance, he urges him to continue.

“so that’s where you get your beautiful face from.”

He nods enthusiastically, a mother's boy at heart; he always enjoyed speaking about her.

"I'm practically a carbon copy of her, I wouldn't be surprised if I learned I was her clone." he grins, popping a few more olives in his mouth.

"You can visit her with me next time I go?" his smile softens at the offer, his features painted with vulnerability.

putting a now dry glass down on one of the rickety shelves, he turns to silco, smiling.

“of course,” vander walks a little closer, moving the other’s black hair off of his forehead and gently kissing the exposed skin before going back to his duty. “i’d be honored to meet her.”

he lets out a short exhale, it was barely audible, but it was one of relief.

he took a few olives and popped them in his mouth like they were candy, he was definitely going to have to sleep on the far side of the bed tonight. he didn't seem to mind the consequences though; he kept eating the green stone fruits.

"I feel like I should let you know that she won't be talking back, we'll be visiting her grave." he smiles weakly in an attempt to bring humor to his tone, the attempt was mostly lost in the slight voice crack at 'grave'.

he paused for a moment, "I mean, maybe she would speak back but that would be quite concerning. there are two reasons why that would happen - zombies or a mental disorder." he rambled on, "either way I fear we would be cooked."

“i’d be glad to meet her either way,” he says with a small shrug. “zombie or not, she sounds like a wonderful woman.”

he makes a face for a moment, one that might say 'she would eat your brains, without a doubt.' but the look was replaced with a soft smile to match his partner's.

He looked down at his bowl of olives and popped a few in his mouth. He seemed to be feeling less tired and more nostalgic now that he's had some sustenance (alcohol and olives).

"That jacket I keep in the closet is hers, the blue one. I'm sure you knew it wasn't mine because blue is definitely not my colour. especially baby blue." he chuckled a little, the sound was a little dry and laced with a sadness he didn't usually see in Silco.

"It was her favourite so I bring it to her every year." he kicks his feet a little.

“i’d figured,” vander nods, resting his face against his palm and bracing himself against the counter. “you’re not exactly a baby blue kind of person.”

despite the light quip, his face is soft with admiration and fondness, and he he picks another sentence up right as he finishes the other.

“i’m sure she appreciates you coming to see her so often,” vander smiles. “i’d take you to visit my mother too, if i could.”

“always.” he mumbles, laying another kiss to his lips before leaning back again. he looks at the jukebox in the corner of the room and a smile creeps up onto his lips.

vander runs his thumb over his knuckles, squeezing silco’s hand lightly before giving him a small mock-bow.

“can i have this dance?”

he rolled his eyes a little, the motion holding no animosity.

"Vander, I'm tired." he chuckles.

vander rests his arm against silco’s collar, standing behind him and gently letting his head fall and land on his shoulder. he chuckles.

“you don’t have to get up.” the hand not gripping silco’s takes hold of his hip, thumb lightly running back and forth over the fabric of his shirt

Silco smiles softly, trying his best to stay awake despite his exhaustion. he squeezed Vander's hand gently, the two fit together like puzzle pieces it seemed.

"Good, because I'm not going to get up." he laughs breathily, his fatigue clear.

vander hums, chest rumbling slightly with the sound, and pulls silco a little closer, slowly swaying back and forth and making the barstool between them spin with every movement.

he raises his head to press a kiss to the crown of his head, whispering comforting words into it. “the mines are awful, but at least you’re home. with me.”

He sunk into Vander like a wet dog, giving him a soft glare.

"the floor is also awful, and that's where i'll be if you knock the stool over." he grumbled, his words didn't hold any hostility.

“if you fall, we’ll fall together,” he chuckles, relishing in the closeness and holding silco to his chest. “you’re gonna be fine.”

"Poor Silco, died of exhaustion and being crushed to death by his boyfriend." he mock sobs, "his alcoholism and bad advice will be missed."

He quiets down for a moment, despite his complaints he stayed glued to Vander - his eyes trained on their hands.
