posted this on twitter but i can't stop thinking about theo getting sad and missing his parents. so, before bed, he sits on the deck in the backyard and starts talking to the moon and the stars. the nice lady at the hospital said his mom and dad went to the stars so he just sits outside and talks to them. giving them life updates about pre school and buck and teddy (eddie) and how he thinks chris is so cool. buck accidentally listens to him one time until he realises he's talking to connor and kameron. so he let's him be. gives him his privacy, a little moment to himself :)
one night, while they're putting dishes away, eddie sees theo outside talking to himself. he asks buck about it. buck explains that, every night before bed, theo sits outside talking to the his parents about his day. eddie's heart clenches. he asks buck if he ever listens. "only if he wants me to."

uhm idk where the idea that the sperm donor thing is making a come back but even if it were, i fail to see how that would be a reason to buddie doom. if connor and kameron (for wtv reason??) leave the kid with buck, why would that interfere, in any way, on buddie eventually getting together? if anything, buck baby trapping eddie would be awesome.
and also, assuming that sl does make a come back, why are we immediately jumping to buck adopting the child and not, idk, connor and kameron wanting buck to be kinda like a godfather to their kid? or even just meeting the child? pls be serious 😭

The LAFD Annual Charity Gala is usually a pretty fun time. Eddie's dressed in her best suit with probably too many buttons on her shirt undone to be appropriate but whatever. She's feeling herself and her friends, all of them dressed to the nines and enjoying the open bar and the live music.
Eddie'll try to rope Chim into dancing with her later because he's the only one of any of them that can actually dance. She still hasn't found Buck, who covered an extra shift as a favor so they didn't come together, their whole day misaligned, scanning the crowd until she spots her standing by one of the small circular tables dotted around, chatting to the Chief.
Eddie heads over, taking her in, she's wearing her hair loose, coppery ringlets falling down her back, her dress is such a dark blue it's almost black, the velvet shimmering and catching the light, hugging all her curves. By the time she reaches Buck the Chief has moved on and Eddie glides a hand over the small of her back, lower, and Buck's dress is so tight Eddie can tell she isn't wearing any underwear.
'You come here often?' says Eddie into her ear and it's such a line but Buck's grinning even as she wrinkles her nose.
'Not really my scene,' she says with a one shouldered shrug that somehow moves her further into Eddie's arms.
'No?’ Eddie leans in, catching the sweet vanilla scent of Buck's perfume, watching the glitter on her eyelids flashing as she lowers her lashes, ‘you had any better offers?'
Buck shakes her head, 'not yet.'
'You wanna get out of here?' Eddie keeps her voice low, eyes tracking round the room, nonchalant as she takes a swig of champagne from Buck's glass. No one's paying them any attention, no one would notice if—.
'I only just got here,' says Buck, stealing her glass back and Eddie turns to look at her, eye to eye.
'I'm sure we can find an empty room. Sneak away. Sneak back.'
It’s a hotel they can pay for a room if they really need to and Buck's cheeks go pink, flushed down to her chest. Eddie suddenly very desperately needs to follow the path of it.
'Yeah?'
Eddie drops her hand, the swell of Buck's ass filling her palm. Yep, definitely no underwear. God. Nods.

They start to move, hand in hand, Chim's voice raised above the chatter as they skirt tables, 'Diaz! Buckley! Where do you two think you're going?'

y'all ate up buck's first queer relationship being mostly about eddie. but god forbid people want the same for eddie. it's okay that buck's stupid ex boyfriend was insecure about eddie's place in buck's life being more prominent than his own, but suddenly it's a problem when we suggest eddie should have a similar experience when he finds out he's gay - minus the asshole boyfriend. buck's bisexual awakening was almost all centered around eddie, but it's problematic to suggest that eddie's gay awakening should also involve buck (e.g.: y'all accusing others of making eddie "bucksexual").

okay but when eddie was shot and woke up in the hospital buck was immediately there and when eddie was in the hospital after abigail buck was immediately there and this time when eddie woke up in the hospital and buck WASNT THERE he knew IMMEDIATELY there was something wrong
just remembered that when buddie get married, bobby won't be at their wedding. BOBBY WON'T BE THERE TO OFFICIATE IT. IT SHOULD BE BOBBY. IT SHOULD BE HIM. HE BELIEVED IN BUCK WHEN NO ONE ELSE WOULD. HE BROUGHT EDDIE TO THE 118 TO BE BUCK'S PARTNER. HE SAVED EDDIE'S LIFE. HE SIGNED THEM BOTH UP FOR THE FIREFIGHTER GAMES WHEN EDDIE WAS IN TEXAS BECAUSE HE KNEW EDDIE WOULD EVENTUALLY COME BACK HOME. HE SHOULD BE HERE AT THEIR WEDDING PRONOUNCING THEM HUSBAND AND HUSBAND AND NOW HE CAN'T BE.
