"Aren't I?" The words were spoken with all the humility one could possibly have while being oh so admired (that being, none at all), Flowery making no attempt at all to hide the fact he was basking in her attention like it was the warm glow of the sun.

And to be fair, with how he had to look up at her smiling face from his position? She may as well have been the sun in the moment.

"Couldn't begin to tell ya how the Flower King did it, but he did- kept me and my family lookin' our best selves since the day he gifted us to his sweetheart!" It really was the most magical thing, even more magical to him than everything that came with the dark. The power of a loving memory, strong enough to defy all law & reason.

It was a miracle he'd allowed to define him so wholly, that having it recognized as such, and in the eyes of a stranger...

That made him delightfully proud.

"Glad to see I've still got it in me to put a smile on a lady's face."

 ❝  nothing short of a miracle, truly ! ❞ tockette lifts a finger, her words carrying genuine stupor. as a 'time master' ( in little more than a title now ) , she'd know full well that, by the laws of nature, a flower isn't meant to endure as long as flowery has. and yet, this isn't the first time fate has giggled and blown a raspberry right in her face. nor, she muses, is it unwelcome.

her gaze drifts away, a touch bashful. ❝ i must confess, i was so cross at first … discovering just how many darling, little variables can tangle and tease the flow of time. ❞ a small sigh escapes her, though it carries no real weight. the former conductor still has a hard time admitting it, but oh, how grateful she is that the lightners proved her so delightfully wrong. ❝ however, how could one remain upset, when such mischief is born of something as earnest and pure as love ? ❞ a gentle smile blooms once more.

 ❝  oh, hehe ... ❞ hand flutters to her black lips, half hiding her laughter as pink, round cheeks glow a faint red. ❝  you positively radiate charm, you know ! it's hard not to smile in your presence. ❞

🌼 On  more  than  one  occasion  Flowery  has  stood  here  on  the  cliffside,  wind  in  his  hair,  watching  the  sunset  beside  a  towering  guest.  He  twists  the  stem  of  a  flower  between  his  index  finger  and  thumb.  "Time  is  a  rare  blessing.  Flowers  usually  have  brief  lives.  Maybe  my  king  reached  into  your  realm  and  stole  us  more  years  with  the  power  of  everlasting  love."  He  drops  the  flower  into  the  breeze  with  a  smile  like  a  fond  farewell.  "So take  a  load  off  for  as  long  as  you're  here!"

 ❝  who better than a flower to understand how precious time can be ?  ❞ her head turns slowly, following its gentle descent with a kind smile. something so fragile would be quick to learn to appreciate and cherish every fleeting moment, knowing its life is but a single snip away from its end.

 ❝  i do run on a very strict schedule, dearie ... ❞ a pang of guilt stirs in her metaphorical stomach; her duties must come above all else or the perfect machine that is her realm would collapse on itself. yet, another glance at the warm sunset makes tockette's will falter, if ever so slightly. ❝  but i reckon will indulge, even if briefly, until the clock strikes again and work beckons me once more. ❞ at last, she faces flowery, adjusting the brim of her big conductor hat. ❝  say, is there anything here one simply mustn't miss ? ❞

No surprise his majesty is less for social interaction . A promised visit , yet the only thing she's gotten out of him was a few grunts — common in most occurrences . More than she'd like to admit .

Another grumble from said Darkener , taking offense but still refusing to engage . With leads drawing back to Castletown she needed to be sure they were looking in the right place for the storyteller , as knowledge retaining to this world would lead them deeper into it's royal library .

 ❝ oh, i know it can feel quite overwhelming when you first glance at it, dearie, but do not worry !  ❞ her positive attitude and cheerful intonation, however, do little to simplify the sprawling, tangled mess that is the train line map of her realm. it is only natural for a lightner to feel lost upon their first visit, but guiding them toward their most fitting destination is, after all, one of the many duties of a supreme conductor.

 ❝ we have exactly five minutes and thrity six seconds to figure out where you're supposed to be headed !  ❞ she doesn't need to check the clock fastened on her hat to know when the next train will arrive.

dialga literally. controls time. like she does. i have a powerful muse for once!! she deserves a legendary pokémon. polteageist & chandelure fit the 'victorian/old timey' aesthetic tockie has got going on. aegislash is a big sword and she is a fencer. lapras & golurk are pokémon used for transport! which is her other main thingy.

...why do they feel doubtful? She sounds sincere enough, the Darkners always seemed to enjoy having Lightners walking around, so far.

And yet, the feeling of being at the wrong place, at the wrong time doesn't seem ready to leave anytime soon -- not unlike them, actually, who still stayed still, standing straight and emotionless as she kept on talking.

She's right. Every journey must come to an end - and hers will end in Castle Town after the SOUL is done locking yet another Dark World. Actually, about that... the office, huh?

 ❝  i fear there is only one way to find out, dearie. ❞ she extends an arm, and with an echoing whistle, the distant train surges forward, swiftly catching up to the station. it stops along the rails with unsettling precision, responding to its conductor's will as a set of doors slide open right before kris. ❝  oh ! how could i forget ! to travel aboard my trains, you and your friends will need these. ❞ from a sleeve of her big, blue coat, she magically conjures and takes out three golden tickets with a light motion, one for each member of their group.
