Though I plan to abide by Zen Shipping as my personal Tao of Fandom, I couldn’t resist one Comic Con #Outlander #SamCait induced madness of a post. The latest eonline video interview with Sam and Cait is entirely too delicious not to dissect.
KDS: “Does Caitriona Balfe have a sister?”
SH & CB in unison, “Yes.”
Oops, Sam thinks. “What? I’m not Caitriona? That wasn’t my question to answer?”
3. Who is Caitriona Balfe married to?
Cait, a bit taken aback: “No one.”
Sam grins. Not yet. Nooooot yet.
4. Mirroring. And a whole script-worthy series of silent exchanges.
This was the look they shared right after Sam quips, “I might tell you some day.”
KDS: “Without the cameras rolling?”
Sam, without taking his eyes off Cait: “Yes.”

5. Kristin Dos Santos is the slyest of the sly.
KDS: “You can see where people’s minds are at, right?” Gestures emphatically. “‘Caitriona Balfe’s sister and Sam Heughan’s brother must be also…’”
Sam enthusiastically (with a dash of faux naïveté?): “Yeah, they should get together! And then…”
Cait: Pivot, pivot! But can’t help but smile at the gesticulating goof next to her.
5A. ADDENDUM to Kristin Dos Santos is the slyest of the sly.
Oh, and I forgot to blog this bit.
After this exchange (“‘Caitriona Balfe’s sister and Sam Heughan’s brother must be also…’”) in which Sam enthusiastically agrees and Cait deflects, Kristin DS follows up innocently with,
“It’d make for an interesting family reunion every Christmas, right?”
