You don't understand. I'm a living, breathing, >100000% sword&knives lesbian who wasn't too hyped about the prospect of Mistborn Era 2 involving firearms as primary weapons. And here I am, SCREAMING over the fight scenes in The Alloy of Law. The entire final sequence of Wax, Wayne & Marasi vs Miles and the Vanishers was INSANE. Best use of a hard magic system combined with guns I have ever seen in my entire life. When Wax donned the mistcoat, then went off with his Sterrions and Shotguns and entered the house to find Steris, absolutely obliterated the Vanishers there, then proceeded to FLATTEN the hideout into the earth while rising upwards with Steris? The HYPE. Everything about the way detonations are used? Allomancy usage for triggering weapons and gun safeties? EVERYTHING about Ranette (Ranette your hand in marriage) and how she makes hazekiller bullets? Using gun recoil and throwing bullets to boost & direct allomancy steelpushing and ironpulling? There is so much more I could add here but safe to say Sanderson took his already incredibly cool magic system of the Era 1 books and elevated the fuck out of it. The continued use of actual physics and the laws of nature, for every Push there's a Pull etc colliding with the characters maxxing the wildest stunts out of their given magical abilities as if they are in some wild DnD game and their only goal is to make the DM lose their mind? Twinborn combinations of Feruchemy und Allomancy and how they make for such insanely cool effects? The insanity that is compounding of Allomancy and Feruchemy using the same metals (Miles was terrifying)? The new metals that combine to the full set of 16, and the new abilities that came alongside them? EVERYTHING about time-bubbles, in particular Wayne & bendalloy? I swear when Wax used the Slider effect and how bullets behave when passing through time bubble barriers to then kill the man holding Marasi with the combination of the second bullet & Steelpushing when Wayne dropped the speed bubble... I *gaped* while in public transport. Right up there with Vin figuring out how to kill Zane while she did not have atium in Well of Ascension. I CANNOT wait to read about all the beyond any doubt crazy shit these people will do with their magical abilities in the rest of Era 2.

i have many fun things i want to do in a minecraft modpack of my own but the parts that involve worldgen are all scary af even with really nice mods like lithostitched to help.. because like. noise values :< scawry...

i want to really have my own fun take on caves though... like

i think itd be fun to have there be LAYERS. first layer of the caves is for biomes reminiscent of the surface (lush caves, a desert cave biome, coral caves under the ocean) then... it starts to get more abstract. dripstone to start, some crystal cave of sorts... Redstone. sculk or some other soul related biome. at the bottom, you might even find a very... voidy biome...
