Thank you, random Puerto Rican lady, now I know more about the world.
"Oh, no reason" took me out 🤣
Meanwhile Americans just casually have a rifle or handgun I remember seeing someone not from the states upset over Walmart selling guns and I just responded "oh they are just hunting rifles, no need to worry :^)" like that made it any better But like living in middle US even I am so desensitized to seeing guns a hunting rifle is nothing because I am not a deer *hears gunshot/boom* oh its just Johnny down the street just blowing off fireworks or shooting target practice for funsies Any other country its like "oh shi someone just got murdered"
everybody saw ed’s automail and immediately jumped to “he committed the biggest taboo” like he gives off such bastard energy the possibility he lost his limbs in an accident or the war is just unthinkable. they just look at him and go “yeah, you look like you tried to punch god in the face” and they’re absolutely right.
LMAO 😂 YES
American woodcock (Scolopax minor)
I love the feral asshole version of Edward don't get me wrong. But while he is an asshole, aka a teenager, he's also such a sweet lil guy. Genuinely such a kind hearted fella and I think that's beautiful.
the most accurate depiction of Edward Elric 👌
i finally got around to messing with clip studio paint's settings in an attempt to eliminate brush tapering and i've been rewatching fma 03 recently, so i doodled ed a few times to test it out.

Outlive the motherfucker. That's what you're going to do. Survive and thrive out of sheer spite if necessary. Live for the day that nature takes it's course and you wake up in a world that no longer has them in it.
Apply where applicable. Repeat as necessary.
Impeccable music choice here:
On the American broadcast, about five seconds after the music started the announcer said about the woman, “she lists her hobbies as ‘forgetting things’ and ‘existential crises’”, and I can’t imagine a more delightful one-two punch

opening your writing doc and immediately scrolling back 3 pages like "alright what the fuck is this story about again?"
The thing is, in order to have a healthy and robust fandom, a piece of media NEEDS to leave some questions unanswered. Some relations unshipped. Some plot holes unfilled. Some backstories unwritten. Some lore unexplained. You need possibilities that will keep people up at night. The beautiful thing about an empty lot in a neighborhood is what people make in it
stopped embarrassing myself and finally watched fma
I think what scares me the most right now about AI in coding is that, for all the arguments of "AI only generates slop full of bugs and problems that need a human to fix!", there are in fact many many mediocre human engineers who create the same problems or worse.
Like as long as the argument hinges on "the robot can't do it as well as the human" we're at risk of losing that ground as the robot gets better and better.
I am fundamentally on the side of the mediocre engineers here, because I would much rather money go into the pocket of the middling dev who is trying to pay rent and feed their kids and handle medical bills than have that money funnel up into the Elite Rich who own all the AI products. The Elite Rich who, mind you, told their workforce to build the AI, then fired half the workforce, so they the rich owners and the highly-staked shareholders can reap all the profits.
But there is absolutely fundamentally nothing about the system which would favor holding on to the mediocre developer. They were a fiscal burden. They can starve, because the robot the Owning Class owns does their job better and faster and doesn't get sick or require a paycheck so 100% of the money can funnel upward.
Even if the AI remains permanently stupider than 50% of developers, that's opening the doors for corporations to fire the bottom 50% of their workforce and leave the remaining 50% with the responsibility of babysitting and correcting the AI.
There is no strategy here to just sit back and trust all AI-driven products will fail so drastically that all corporations will course-correct and bring back all the human people.
The market economics will scream "Of course the underperformers deserve to get fired!!!" and then say absolutely nothing about why their paycheck deserves to go into the hands of the rich who have done nothing other than own the AI being used in replacement.
