Can really relate to this one:

An interesting perspective to consider
My tummy doesn’t have to be cute. It holds my internal organs. My thighs don’t have to “crush men’s skulls”. I use them to carry myself. My stretch marks don’t have to be tiger stripes I earned. They came when I grew.
Stop.
feeling this
This!
I feel like even body positivity is too focused on, like, the appearance of the body. I know I became a whole lot happier with my body when I started thinking of it less in terms of how it looked (to me or anyone else) and realized, that, like…
When I feel cool breeze on my skin on a really hot day, my body did that for me.
When I step into a bath after a hike, and my muscles ache, but in a good way, and the steam all around me makes me feel like a flower blooming, my body did that for me.
And the hike before it, and standing on a large rock breathing the raw winter air seeing the power of the half-frozen river. That too.
When I’ve had a plate of pasta puttanesca, and I chopped and sauteed the ingredients and now I’m full-but-not-uncomfortable, and warm all over, and perfectly content, my body did that for me.
My body doesn’t have to look awesome to be awesome. It’s awesome because it’s where I live.
Best comment.
“[My body is] awesome because it’s where I live.”
Words. To. Live. By.
Finally, some real body positivity

Very important to see and share…
Cellulite is a female secondary sex characteristic and should be celebrated as a rite of womanhood, not despised or eradicated.
it’s really a secondary sex characteristic?!
It is. It has to do with the way our bodies network fat. Female bodies create sort of a mesh network to support fat (female bodies are MUCH more hardy in times of stress) and it can present as delightfully lumpy. More than 90% of women have visible cellulite, but all women store fat in this manner.
why did no one tell me this?!
You know why :/
Spread this. I only just started to see mine and I started to freak out a bit. More people should/need to know about this
Here’s an illustration of the aforementioned difference in fat storage.
Men’s lattice pattern collagen threads holds subcutaneous fat in a way that, when the skin expands because of the fat storage, it expands evenly. Women’s “pockets” expand unevenly when we accumulate fat, creating that orange peel effect. Our storage pattern means we can healthily store more fat than men. Like a woman with 25% body fat is average, a man with 25% body fat is chubby. Because of that, like OP said, women are hardier in times of stress or famine. It’s also one of the reasons why our bodies can survive pregnancy, which is a massive energy demand on our system.
And there’s absolutely NO “treatment” for cellulite that will work. They are all bullshit designed to separate you from your hard-earned cash. It’s a secondary sex characteristic, it’s perfectly normal and it’s not going away no matter what you do. Like I’m very lean myself and I work out 5~6 times a week, and I still have cellulite. Someone giving a woman shit for having cellulite is akin to giving her shit for having skin. It’s just a mixture of misogyny and corporate greed.
Love your lumpy skin, ladies. It means you are a badass surviving machine shaped by millenia of evolution.
I did not know this, and I pride myself on knowing shit like this.
Yup. And stretch marks are 100% normal. TV ads tried to teach me that it was something only older women got and needed to fix, but I got mine at puberty and I love them! Also, skinny people can have them. I’m skinny with stretch marks AND cellulite. And “saggy” boobs are NORMAL. Nipples should point towards babies mouths, not men’s eyes. Womanhood, femaleness, our bodies are NOT defective male bodies that need to be fixed with all kinds of scam treatments. We are default bodies. We are normal.
FEMALE 2NDARY SEX CHARACTERISTICS AND THEIR DEVELOPMENT OVER TIME OR FROM BIRTH ARE NORMAL
Even fitness models have come out to show their cellulite, because people truly believe it only happens to overweight women. Hell, even looking at candid pictures of Victoria Secret models taken by paparazzi, you can see even they have cellulite, and they are skinny as Hell. ‘’Cellulite’’ as a ‘’condition’’ was invented by the beauty industry to sell bullshit products to women
This. Aaaallll of this.

This is a marvel of science
little girls who go around after it rains and pick up the worms off the sidewalk and throw them back in the dirt are the cornerstone of our society and we should all strive to have that level of compassion for each other and for the natural world
this was written by a grateful worm
Aren’t we all grateful worms in one way or another
