Theories implemented or challenged during the placement
During my placement i had used the Optimum Performance Training(OPT) model.The OPT Model & OPT Template were developed by the National Academy of Sports medicine(NASM).
National Academy Of Sports Medicine support that, there are 5 phase models. For the beginner level, which they have to start with stabilization endurance training for control and stability. This phase is the adaptation of the strength endurance training. This second phase is muscular endurance will help us to achieve the third phase which is hypertrophy.After that, the following phases are maximal strength and power(NASM)(Clark et al., 2008).
