I keep thinking about this moment because it was really sweet and unprompted. Catherine was so excited to be there and wanted so badly to do a good job (she did a GREAT job with maybe the hardest episode yet) and to get a little praise from someone with as much Dropout success as Ify? You can't buy an ego boost like that!

She also really IS good at Game Changer because there's no damn way I would've ever figured out the trick, let alone as fast as she did. Also the fact she instinctively just gave away everything she learned to help other constestants. I hope they bring her back for a less chaotic episode soon.

I feel like people don’t truly realize the extent of the trauma Carol Sturka goes through during Pluribus.

She losses her wife (not legal wife, but you get it), is surrounded by a hive mind that is the reason her wife died and that are constantly positive and trying to help her. The other normal people aren’t grasping that everyone they know and love are gone, just their bodies are there. Because the Hive share everyone’s memories, including Helen’s, she has been outed as a lesbian. She was fully alone for about 40 days, no contact with any human, Hive or not.

The whole season takes place over about 70 days, not even three months.

Carol has got to be in so much pain. She’s lost everything. I’m hoping that season two really dives into the effects of 40 days of complete solitude.

the more this season goes on the more i’m like. you know what. why isn’t cassie mckay the heir apparent. open and empathetic. doesn’t bring her baggage into cases. incredible teacher. takes criticism well and grows from it. has healthy boundaries. adapts well to chaos without crashing out. cassie mckay is actually the perfect doctor and leader.

What makes Cassie McKay so different from many of the other characters in The Pitt is her trauma. While we see the others either activily going through hell or trying to get out, McKay isn’t.

We know about McKay’s past addiction and heavily implied abuse, though I would like to learn more about her. She has already been through hell and walked out the other side.

We can assume that she has been at rock bottom, but she’s pulled herself up.

That’s what I love about her, she has more wisdom and compassion than anyone else there. She knows what trauma, depression, and very dark thoughts looks like, and I wished the writers leaned into that more.

Rewatched Ready or Not in preparation for the sequel, and decided to take a look at the fanfiction. Just about every single one is putting Grace with Daniel and has Daniel as the center.

In a movie about a strong woman who survives horrors through her strength, smarts, and determination, people can only write about her with a focus on a man.

The sexism within fanfiction writers needs to be studied at this point.

Grace and Leon having completely opposite experiences is hilarious to me. Leon is having the action game experience, really it’s just another day at the office for him.

And then there is Grace.

This isn’t what she signed up for. Sure she is an FBI agent and is trained in using a firearm, but she’s a desk agent. It’s established that she doesn’t go into the field often, much less alone.

And then the one time that she does go into the field by herself, she becomes the protagonist of a Resident Evil game.

Leon gets to be an action hero while Grace spends her time experiencing The Horrors.

There is quite literally nothing that Linda Liddle could do that could make me hate her or sympathize in any way, shape, or form with Bradley. That guy deserved everything he got, and more. Linda, you are my goddamn queen and you could poison me any day of the week.
