Danny Phantom: the man of several good comebacks.
I’ve waited years to use this comeback but nobody says you’re toast anymore and I cry myself to sleep about it
i have this headcanon that the first few days after danny got his powers he was constantly fazing though his bed on accident while he was asleep and would end up in the kitchen below his room. and poor jazz would find him in the morning, still asleep on the table, confused as ever.
Spongebob killed Danny and took his clothes
It wasn’t the portal after all! At last we know the truth
another one loosely based off an incorrect quote
someone stop me-
April 3rd be like
please let me come to your sleepover party i promise i won't levitate out of my sleeping bag or start crawling around on the ceiling at 3am this time
“not all men” you’re right danny fenton would never do this
are you sure
What are you talking about that’s danny phantom
You know what I really love
That Sam and Tucker help Phantom fight ghosts in public. No masks. No disguises of any kind. No pretending they haven't known him for years despite the fact that he only turned up a year ago. No effort to not be seen with him whatsoever.
There's plenty of speculation on how no one recognizes Danny as Phantom. I'm ignoring that right now. Sam and Tucker are seen with Phantom all the time.
It's like Batman and Robin but Robin doesn't have a secret identity so it's Batman and Some Kid. Or like. *Doofenshmirtz voice* A platyplus???? [Perry doesn't put a hat on] ...I repeat, a platypus?????
And okay, maybe most of the town doesn't see enough to notice anything. But what about:
Jack and Maddie: obsessed with Phantom and never once think, "Hey, the two kids that help him all the time are at our house very often, I bet we could ask them a couple questions". Respect to them for maintaining that boundary I guess??
Sam's parents: they get defensive about Sam hanging around the Fenton kid but not an undead vigilante
Paulina and Dash: would surely make a comment like "I don't know how you two losers managed to be close with someone so cool. He probably keeps an eye on you because you're the weakest and you need the most saving"
VALERIE: Hates Phantom, not afraid to speak her mind and make a fuss, is hostile with Sam and was willing to flirt with Tucker to learn more about ghosts but never once grilled him for information about Phantom specifically
To anyone else who even kind of knows the trio, it's probably strange that the Fenton kid is absent (it's the only time they see Sam and Tucker without him), but they can explain that away for x, y, or z reasons. Like, it makes sense that Phantom wouldn't want to work with the son of ghost hunters (except Jazz is spotted with him now and then?? So it's Batman and Some Kid and Alfred??).
To the rest of the town, the local mysterious superhero sometimes enlists the help of two living high school kids. No one questions why that happens.
There was that time in Memory Blank where Paulina Invited Danny, Sam, and Tucker to her Quinceañera and said...
“And I really want that ghost boy to be there. And since the ghost boy seems to show up wherever you do, I figured I had no choice to invite you and your loser friends.”
She noticed that when Fenton was nearby, Phantom would show up. She said she only invited Sam and Tucker because Danny would not show up if she didn’t. Was it also because she always saw Tucker and Sam with Phantom?

Newspapers.com was free to look at yesterday So I looked up Danny Phantom and typed out what I thought was interesting
Danny Phantom (Series Premiere) A ghostly lunch lady seeks revenge when the school cafeteria serves only vegetarian meals
In this new animated series, a half human, half ghost kid deals with the problems of growing up a teenager. Nice to know curfews and zits are still major problems in the afterlife.
In the new animated series from the creators of “The Fairly Odd Parents,” teenager Danny Fenton turns into a ghost-busting superhero.
Animated adventures of a high schooler transformed into a confused and semi-phantasmic superhero by his ghost-phobic parents.
This channel keeps rolling out fun hits. This one is about an ordinary kid who inadvertently becomes half ghost. (Hey, it happens.) Now he confronts spirits from beyond. In the funny opener, it’s an angry cafeteria lady.
Who is “Danny Phantom” He’s a new cartoon character. He’s half-boy and half-ghost, and all the angst. His wacky inventor dad accidentally confused his DNA with ghostly ectoplasm, giving Danny the ability to walk through walls and disappear at will. Or almost at will - sometimes his ghost side shows up at inopportune moments. Created by the maker of “The Fairly Oddparents,” this good-looking series follows in the tradition of “Kim Possible” and a zillion other cartoons about wisecracking kids blessed with special powers who have to save the world in time for homeroom.
From the creator of “The fairly OddParents” comes this new animated series about a shy teenager with superpowers. Danny Fenton (voice of David Kaufman) was a normal guy until he was affected by his parents’ explosive experiment. Now, he’s half ghost, and with the help of Brainiac Tucker and Goth chick Sam (voices of Ricky Collins and Gray Delisle), Danny fights evil. In the new episode “Mystery Meat,” they battle together against a spectral cafeteria worker.
The children’s channel unveils a new animated series featuring the character of Danny Phantom, a shy high school freshman who leads a double life as heroic phantom-fighter with ghostly superpowers. His chums and cohorts in ghost-busting are Tucker, a techno-geek, and Goth girl Sam.
“Danny Phantom” is about a 14-year old boy who can transform himself into a superhero to battle ghosts. Nickelodeon has ordered six episodes of the series.
Danny Phantom - Butch Hartman’s newest series unveils the funny, action-packed adventures of Danny Fenton (voiced by David Kaufman), who straddles two worlds as a shy freshman at Casper High and a heroic phantom-fighter with ghostly superpowers.
