I've been making a bunch of handmade paper recently, and my friend suggested scanning them for Textures. You can get them for free on my ko-fi!

i've been following a channel called "Tasting History" for a while now, because i am a nerd and i love to cook !! but to my surprise, today he uploaded a video talking about no other thing than Dracula !!!! and making paprika hendl !!!!!!!!!

-raoul scaling down a tree to see Christine while she’s roaming the moors at night mid breakdown

-one of the opera staff claims that christine has friends plotting against Carlotta, to which another staff member goes “christine has friends?”

-gaston describes a toad coming out of Carlotta’s mouth and then goes “lmao I’m just messing that didn’t actually happen” what a troll

-the unnamed narrator holding Richard’s hand for and I quote “a few minutes” because he saw the opera ghost and got scared

Fahrenheit 451 is one of my favorite books because of the impact it left on me. While many people tend to emphasize the book's message about censorship, what stuck with me most was its depiction of human disconnection thanks to technology. Being a book published in 1953, I feel it does a pretty good job of depicting how we've become as a society from a dramatic and exaggerated perspective, common in the dystopias I love so much.

I made all these drawings as part of a uni project that I ended up taking on as a personal project. The project was about adapting a book into a concept for an animated series, and with all the love and passion I have for F451, this project ended up being a personal project with a college deadline ☆

This last one is a color script that, in my mind, represented the entirety of the book. If anyone can pinpoint each scene from the book, they'll win my unconditional love ♡

And that's about it, i have even more material of this conceptual artbook that i made for uni, with character sketches, prop moodboards, background designs and more. If anyone is interested, i'll post them separatedly.

Finally, to end this long post, i hope anyone that enjoyed the book as much as me, can enjoy my art as much as i enjoyed making it. And if anyone that hasn't read the book stumbles upon this, i hope it catches your atention enough to give the book a try ☆
