Every morning, as I drive to work, I look up at the moon. When I can see the moon, I say, "Good Morning, Liam." It's my little ritual to always remember him and remind myself of how much he loved us, and we love him. I can't believe it has been three months.

let me just say-- i am incredibly proud of how the boys handled the onslaught of liam's passing.

those 4 boys have some of the most famous faces in this world, most especially after oct 16. for sure, paps were searching for them every-fucking-where to be the first ones to catch a glimpse of their grief-stricken faces to make a quick buck. BUT those boys did EVERYTHING to stay out of the spotlight. yes, we had some pap pics of niall walking his dog (fuck the paps fr) and fan pics with niall in an art gallery but OTHER THAN THAT!?!?!?!? NOTHING?!?!?! that's almost incomprehensible for the level of fame they have.

even at the funeral, they never gave the paps the satisfaction of a pic of all of them together. in the moment where they deserve, more than anything, to be together, they set that aside to make sure that liam's funeral remains HIS, a celebration of his wonderful life.

in my heart of hearts, i really believe they came together to ensure that (1) the paps didnt get what they want, (2) that liam's life and legacy is celebrated exactly the way he deserved, and (3) that they each be able to mourn and move forward in their own way and time.

so, so, so proud. well done boys. we all see you. we are so fucking proud of you.

I don’t talk about them as much as I used to on this account, but one direction were such a crucial part of everything I was growing up. in a shitty home with no support their music kept me alive for so many of the hardest years of my life, and regardless of what Liam has or hasn’t done recently, seeing that he has passed away has shook me to my fucking core. I idolised those men for 14 fucking years, through all my teens and my early twenties they have meant more to me than I can even put into words, and knowing that I’m never gonna see Liam again has really deeply fucking rocked me man. and I’m supposed to just go on? like go to work tomorrow as normal? fucking hell

For my followers and friends who are in shock about the Liam Payne news, some genuine advice:

Get offline. Being online right now will only make you spiral. Take this post as a sign to get offline.

Get yourself food and drink, listen to the albums, let yourself start to grieve.

Don't look up news articles etc, they will not help right now. Reach out to friends whom you know liked 1D, but only after your first cry. Oxygen mask approach, people. You cry, you start on the grieving process, then you reach out.

Do not look at photos of the body. Do NOT look at photos of the body.

You don't have to look at the news. You are allowed to block his name until you're ready to deal. It's okay to hurt. It's okay to really, really hurt.

I'm very sorry for your loss.

some of 1D's best songs exist because of liam payne, by the way. liam and louis were the dream team. they all wrote some good songs, but man. every time liam and louis joined up together, it ended up being a fucking banger. better than words. end of the day. fireproof. there are so many, so many strong songs that took 1D from being just a silly little "girl band" (which is what they always were and always will be to us, to me) to being something special, something that pierced through the industry whether people liked it or not. that was my band. they were my boys. i will miss liam for the rest of my life, and i'm not exaggerating that. not only because of who he was in the band, not only because of who he could have been once he held himself accountable enough to grow. i will miss his music, his talent. his voice. god. his voice. i'll just miss him. i miss him already.

liam. oh liam. god. he was the one i worried so much about ever since the band. like, it used to be zayn but when zayn left and grew i thought "ok, he's going to be ok" because you could see after a while that the band was not good for zayn. you could see it. but liam, god. he carried so much weight, all the time. from the band all the way to the present, he was the guy who was supposed to be put together. he was "daddy direction" he was. yeah. he was that guy. and i know it weighed on him. i KNOW it did. the drinking and the fucking spiraling he went through after the band, it was all connected. and i'm not. defending his choices, i'm not. but i'm grieving him and i'm aching for him, and. i just wanted him to be okay. i really really thought that he would be okay. and he's not. and i'm. fucking heartbroken about it.
