I keep yapping about Raise a Suilen characters - they are in fact not only game/anime, their VAs actually perform full concerts. I used some screenshots as studies/references! Highly recommend doing it cause concerts like that always have crazy lights and colors! 🌈

Below, some other screenshots I took so I could paint studies from, so you can see what I mean! Not only colors go wild, but also the poses and dramatic hair flips ahhh <3

Seriously - get a concert or musical you like and go crazy with it bc stage lights are always so dope like this! People say you should do this to movies as well, and it also works, and depending on what you want to study it's even better (composition, backgrounds for ex).

People always compliment how I use colors all the time, anddoing studies from movies and concerts like this is the best way to train your eye and skills for coloring your own stuff later on!

This is also a way I found to trick my ADHD monkey brain to actually sit down and study something sometimes, getting something I'm absolutely obsessed about and just draw more of it (I just need to actually do it now lmao!)
