what will it be, boss? the comfort of misery or the pain of change?
if I were an English teacher I would print this out and put it onto the wall next to a "reading is poggers" poster

Evanescence: These wounds wonāt seem to heal, this pain is just too real, Thereās just too much that time cannot erase

What if, because of his lack of memory, Alastor is all for exploring the technology that advanced after his death?
He'll still insist it peaked with his time, but he does like watching radio repair vids and cooking channels.
This is a whole new level of complicated for Vox.
I'm actually planning to do something like this! The time period when Alastor was alive was actually a time of technological innovation, so I headcanon that his problem with new technology isn't that it's new, but what capitalism has shaped it into; user-unfriendly, hostile design, planned obsolescence, cheaper, less durable parts. And his whole thing with Vox only turned his disdain for it up tenfold.
Without his memories, Side Effects Alastor is pretty curious about 'futuristic' technology. And in a way, this is one of the things that the hotel guests find endearing about him. Because he's curious and open to listening and lets them guide him. And really pretty.
He turns that around on Vox though, playing innocent and curious so that Vox can feel like the big, smart, in-charge man and show off all of his modern tech to Alastor, only for Alastor to then use this knowledge to sabotage it.
some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, āwhatās the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?ā and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is āunofficialā, and we know thatās not the right word, but itās the only word we can come up withā¦until finally itās like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is āartificialā.
I couldn't remember the word "doorknob" ten minutes ago.
ok but the onelook thesaurus will save your life, i literally could not live without this website

I use this every time I sit down to write. It's the best tool in the world and I would be lost without it!

@markscherz do you know what type of frog this is? I can't tell if its a small adult or a baby frog.
This is a juvenile Chacophrys pierottii, arguably the most comically proportioned frog ever. Here is an adult. If I had not taken this photo myself I would think itās some kind of ridiculous meme render.
These are also the frogs that bury themselves in a backwards spiral that is seriously relatable.
BACKWARDS SPIRAL??
Dan and I bought a thing called ālong zitiā from the local Weird Bargain Store, largely as a joke, butā¦. I have never had a more unsettling pasta experience in my life. They wouldnāt bend enough to cook from top to bottom simultaneously, and while they were cooking boiling water kept spouting out from the tops of them out of the pot, like a boiling pipe organ. Then they were so long and floppy and hoselike that we couldnāt pick them up with anything other than tongs, and then they were so long and unwieldy that it was basically impossible to sauce them without them all slithering out of the bowl like wet snakes. They then proceeded to cool down almost completely within the the seconds it took to walk to the living room. Eating them was like eating a bowl full half melted drinking straws.
Bringing back Long Ziti for another round because itās just too funny

And no one is gonna mention he was a welsh forklift driver? WHO HAD BEEN PARTYING FOR 37 HOURS.
Arron Hughes is thought to be the only person to make it across the reservoir aliveĀ
He said the swim took around 30 minutes but admitted he felt āknackeredā half way across, but knew he had to make it to the other side as he could feel the water pulling him towards the dam. āI was sucked towards the wall and had to swim hard. At the other side I was exhausted. Then I heard police shout,ā he told The Sun. He was handcuffed and arrested by Nevada police after making it across the water in front of the 726ft structure, and fined $330 (Ā£250) for ājumping, diving, swimming from damās spillways or other structuresā. The forklift driver is only thought to have survived as nine of the damās 10 turbines were switched off at the time. āOne officer said, āIn my whole lifetime Iāve never seen or heard of anyone doing itā,ā Mr Hughes told MailOnline, while admitting his decision to go for a swim had been āfuelled by drinkā. Some 275 people have reportedly died at the site in the last 10 years. āI donāt have any regrets,ā Mr Hughes told the BBC. āI even have a tattoo saying āno regrets,ā thatās the type of person I am.ā
i looked up the source for this and its from an anime where a dude has to keep a constant boner for a month straight or he loses his house
is this the episode where he lost his house
I have not stopped thinking about this even once for the last 8 years
iām so fucking sick of people taking aspects of historical gay sexuality and saying ābut what if i made it squeaky clean and sexless so i can have itā sometimes not everything is for you babes!!! sometimes you donāt get to have everything!!!
āwhatās the hanky for ppl who donāt wanna have sex or do kink or any of thatā there isnāt one!!! itās called not wearing a fucking hanky!!! because itās not fucking for you!!!!!
capitalism and individualism has rotted peopleās brains to the point that it feels like a lot of people donāt understand that some things just arenāt fucking for them and they donāt need to twist and change it to force it to apply to them!!! sometimes things are not!!! for!!! you!!!
