I absolutely fucking despise how the word 'biological' has become commonplace when talking about sex and gender, regardless of the context it's being used in. Not only is it super transphobic to call a trans person a 'biological male' or 'biological female', even if you recognise their actual identity, but it's also just gibberish.

Biological just means a living organism. It can also refer to someone's blood relatives though it's only used when that distinction needs to be made. It doesn't mean 'born as'. My biological mother was not born as my mother.

'Biological male' and 'biological female' makes zero fucking sense if you actually know the definition of the word 'biological'. 'Biological sex' is not a fucking thing, because sex is not a living organism, nor is it someone's blood relative. Same goes for 'biological man' or 'biological woman'.

Can allies fucking stop humouring transphobes by using their made-up gibberish to talk about us. In situations where the distinction needs to be made, you use the terms cisgender and transgender. That should give everyone enough context to know that the trans person is trans and the cis person is cis. You don't fucking call a trans woman a 'biological man/male'. You don't fucking call a trans man a 'biological woman/female'.

If you use that language, all you're doing is giving credibility to policies and laws that use that language. And policies and laws that use that language only exist to hurt trans people. Stop fucking using that language to talk about us. It is being used to fucking kill us.

If they're truly not judging me for it, not putting me in some box for it, then there's not a single valid reason to know about agab. Absolutely zero. Presentation as well. I came out to a few of my irl friends a while ago as a trans guy and most of them were really cool and accepting which was great. The problem was one of the cis girls, who I've known since I was like 6 years old. We all live in different areas now but whenever we makes plans to hang out she always goes out of her way to say things like 'Girls night' or 'Girls trip', which she never did before I came out. I have no idea if she's wanting me to confront her about it so we can argue about how valid my gender is (which is exhausting and she's so annoying when she thinks she's in the right), or if she's just ignoring the fact that I'm trans altogether. She hasn't said anything explicitly transphobic and I've known her most of my life which is why I'm really hesitant to say anything or cut her off. My other friends have said anything either if they've noticed. It just rubs me the wrong way, especially because she goes out of her way to mention it being a 'girls' thing at least once every single time.

Sorry for the long ask, it's just something I've been thinking about for a while and needed to get off my chest. She also uses feminine terms when referring to me in person which sucks as well, but I don't have enough confidence to call her out yet.

Making fun of a group of people that are privileged over you is one thing, but wishing non-cartoonish violence and death on them ("they should fall off a cliff" vs. "they should be wiped out"), wishing sexual violence on them, dehumanising them, claiming that they're less capable of creating art or living meaningful lives, saying that their relationships are inherently shallow and fake - these things are fucked up. I understand venting and saying extreme things when in pain, but when you find yourself regularly posting about wanting certain people tortured and killed, you need to examine that.

When the only thing stopping you from completely dehumanising someone is your own judgement regarding their privilege level relative to yours, you are not a safe person to be around.

men (class) and men (gender) are separate things. men (gender) is anybody who identifies as a man. men (class) is cisgender, straight, wealthy men.

because the patriarchy requires a strict definition of who is a "man" * in order to preserve itself, trans men are not seen as real men for that purpose. as a result, they, too, experience misogyny.
