MSTRKRFT — Easy Love
I didn't use the actual music video here because it might offend some people...
But you can find it HERE!
MSTRKRFT is probably my all time favorite electronic group. They consistently put out awesome tracks and even awesomer remixes (LOTS of remixes). This song, "Easy Love," is one of the groups earlier hits from 2006. It may well be my favorite track, but I'm not sure yet. I hope you enjoy.
Lady Sovereign — Jigsaw
I recently purchased Lady Sovereign's newest album from 2009 titled "Jigsaw." I absolutely love it. I first heard Lady Sovereign in the soundtrack of a video game I used to play. The song was "Love Me Or Hate Me," a hit from her 2006 album, "Public Warning." To this day it is a fairly popular song (as far as British hip-hop goes). I am a fan of British hip-hop in general, but Lady Sovereign stands out with a unique rhythm and vocal style. She's packed with energy, and you can feel her exploding with almost every track she lays down. I chose her title track, "Jigsaw," for today's post because it is sort of a break from her usual tempo. It's an odd song for her with more of a pop feel to it. I love the lyrics as well. Anyway, I don't have much more to say, so listen up and enjoy!
Tegan and Sara — The Con
I normally post a healthy dose of electro and dance music, but I have many tastes, and this song really caught my ear today. I like Tegan and Sara a lot. They've just got some serious style I haven't seen anywhere else. This is probably my favorite song of theirs. I don't have that much to say about it, but I thought I would post the video instead of just the audio file, because the video definitely captures the effect better. I hope yo enjoy it!
Usher — OMG (Vindata Remix)
Okay, so I originally meant for this blog to be a daily thing... Well, guys, I got burnt out. Truth be told, it's tough getting to this blog every single day. As much as I love music, I can't maintain that discipline. So, I will update this blog whenever I feel like it :).
That being said, OMG is a classic summer hit, and the dynamic duo known as Vindata have pumped out a seriously bombin' remix of it. If you think about it, it's kind of a slap to the face of Wil.I.Am, who produced the music. Vindata's remix screams, "We can do it better." Yet if I know anything about the music industry, it's that most artists have a profound respect for other artists, and it's an honor to have your song remixed well. Vindata didn't change the style so much as they changed the genre of it. It's now a crazy dance mix, where it was formerly a Hip Hop radio hit. So I'm sure Wil.I.Am is pleased with the justice Vindata has done this song.

DJ Steve Aoki feat. Zuper Blahq — I'm In The House (Clean Edit)
This has to be one of my favorite songs I've come across so far. It may have to do with the fact that Wil.I.Am is most certainly the man known mysteriously as "Zuper Blahq." That's his voice, and everyone knows it. By the way, check out the video for this, and you will know what I'm talking about. This is just a really epic dance song, and that's all I have to say. Enjoy.
Skepta — Bad Boy
I just like british rappers. Seriously, that love for british rap alone is the reason I know Skepta even exists. He's up there with Example and Lily Allen in my top British music list. He's got some cool music, so look him up.
Alex Metric — Head Straight (Radio Edit)
Man I've been doing a bad job with this blog keeping it regular, and I apologize. Really, I have no good excuse, but that's okay because I'll make one. I was out discovering more music to make the blog that much better. And now I have some to share. I really like Alex Metric, his songs and his remixes of other songs. He's just a solid artist with a good feel for dance music. Check him out.
Sugar Hill Gang — Rapper's Delight
This is one of my all-time favorite songs of all time. Actually, my dad showed this song to me fairly recently, and I know it sounded familiar . . . It's one of the first American rap songs ever made, and you can tell! At the beginning of the song, he is compelled to mention that "this is not a test." It's also a really long and humorous song, as well. CLASSIC. Enjoy.
KiD CuDi — Man On The Moon
You will notice this isn't a dance song. Well, I don't just listen to dance music! This is just a really good song. The music itself is cool, but just listen to the message of the song. KiD's just working his way through his life trying to find purpose and morality. He's seen the crap of the rest of the world, especially the American music industry and the lives people lead. He just wants to stand out, to stand apart from the hate. I approve. Anyway, give this track a listen.
Dizzee Rascal — Dirtee Disco
So I screwed up the past 3 days, I believe. I ended up leaving town on a mission trip with a church here in town, and I just forgot to queue up some more jams for the blog. Therefore, tonight is a 4-for. The first is Dirtee Disco, by Dizzee Rascal. He's a British rapper/MC, and I have enjoyed every single he's put out. He doesn't disappoint. Plus I just like his African-British accent!
Breakbot — Baby I'm Yours (Adam Smith Remix)
Man, I don't really know much about this track. I just found this today, but the original (here) sounded really familiar. I can't remember where I had heard it. But I'm more interested in the beats that really get your body moving, so I posted the great electro remix by Adam Smith, who is apparently really good with a lot of his remixes. Look him up. Anyway, happy listening!
Example — Kickstarts
Today's post is in the form of a video. I recently discovered Kickstarts through my usual music browsing, and when I found this, I fell in love with it. Actually, my love kickstarted again. The problem is it hasn't actually been released to the U. S. of A. yet, so as of right now I'm eagerly awaiting its arrival on iTunes while obsessing over the Youtube video. I have no way of downloading it until then... It's a thoroughly catchy song, and it has a beautiful message tucked neatly alongside its awesome electro melody. It's perfect. Example has some other good singles out in iTunes (in the U.S. store, too!), so go check em out!
Alex Mind — Binary 1.0 (Lazy Rich Remix)
I just recently found this track on the internet, and I really really like the flare this song has. I mean, it's a remix, but it's a really good one. As always, Binary 1.0 (Lazy Rich Remix) has a killer rhythm and a nice electro flare. Check it out!

Chris Lake feat. Nastala — If You Knew (Feed Me Remix)
Chris Lake = Awesome. Feed Me Remix? EPIC. Need I say more? Maybe. I just need to say I apologize for all the electro house songs . . . er umm . . . I really don't at all. But you should be warned that I'm very much into dancing, especially with epilepsy-inducing light displays and intense rock-your-body bass beats. So, should you continue to follow my blog, expect MORE!
Black Eyed Peas — Meet Me Halfway
Okay, so I could rant and rave about the Black Eyed Peas all night long (or morning, because it's morning now...). Wil.I.Am is probably one of my favorite artists and people of all time. Fergie has got it going on! (vocally, I mean...geeesh!). I just REALLY like this song. Meet Me Halfway was released on the Black Eyed Peas latest album, The E-N-D. Killer album. Killer song. Great beat. Great lyrics.

Maskinen — Alla Som Inte Dansar
Okay, so this one is a little different. But if you know me, you know I have a diverse taste in music. This isn't the first foreign-language track I've posted, but I would say I don't do this a lot. Alla Som Inte Dansar is just awesome, though. It's a Swedish techno song from 2007. The translation of the lyrics are worth looking up, if you know what I mean (*wink wink*). Anyway, mad props to my good friend, Bailey, for hooking me up with this great dance tune. Adios.
