this is definitely the highest quality zine ive had the opportunity to be a part of and theres so much amazing writing and art in here. please check it out! you can read my artist statement for this piece below :)

With my submission I wanted to show each member of the gang’s connection to Lupin through physical objects. As they are mainly thieves whose lives revolve around acquiring priceless artifacts, I thought it would be fitting to use objects as basic representations of each relationship. The four of them have unique partnerships to Lupin, all depicting different attachment types and forms of love. These relationships help to build Lupin’s identity and personality— without his gang revolving around him, Lupin finds it difficult to put together who he really is. They are the pieces that make him up.

i have been wanting to draw a more updated version of jeb for awhile…i am still quite bad with the lore BUT i hc that when doc stitched jeb back together, he ended up (intentionally ?) using some pieces of tricky’s body. so now jeb has some curly red hair on that side and tricky has slick black hair as well (from being revived at some point) </3
