Okay, okay, so Voltron (Legendary Defenders) x Marauders fanfic. I have Sirius as Shiro, Regulus as Keith, James as Lance, Remus as Pidge, Peter as Hunk, Lily as Allura (ages and some character stuff will ofc be adjusted to fit). Not the full list but I don't want to spoil all of it...
At the start of Voltron we see Pidge refusing to believe her brother, dad, and Shiro actually died on their mission to a Pluto moon. To get into the Garrison and start investigating without suspicion, she disguises herself as a boy, changes her name, and becomes a cadet.
She ends up on a team with Lance and Hunk and they become friends. She invents machinery to listen to interstellar radio chatter. The trio sees Shiro crash, and try to break him out of custody, but Keith beat them to it. They all escape together and find the Blue Lion.
I'm going to rework it into something like this:
One of Remus' parents, Sirius, and another person he cares about go missing on a mission. They're declared dead, but Remus refuses to believe it. Remus had applied for the Garrison a couple years ago before they went missing, but the thing is he's disabled in some way and they turned him down (maybe a genetic disorder, something they can't fix with all that tech OR it's too inconvenient to consider him over other perfectly healthy candidates).
However, now he's really fucking determined, so he impersonates a cadet who decided they weren't going to the school for whatever reason. He ends up on a team with James and Peter, maybe childhood friends or something, but they're not doing great in classes. It's whatever, not why Remus is really there. He makes a machine to listen to space calls.
He's with James and Peter when they see Sirius crash. James, wanting to break his best friend out of custody (they knew each other outside the Garrison), immediately runs to go do so. Peter ofc follows James. Remus wants to go to get information on his parent, so he goes. When they get there, though, Regulus is already breaking his big brother out of custody. They escape the scene, and find their way to the Blue Lion.
Onto what this post is actually about, I need some help answering these questions:
Should I do POV shifts for this series or follow one character (I'll make the shifts very clearly separate, think Crivers)? Starting with Remus' POV, if you couldn't already tell.
Should I make Hope or Lyall the one lost at space? The other will be working at the Garrison, like Colleen did.
Who should I replace Matt with? I was thinking maybe Marlene as a cousin or just a friend?
What disability should I give Remus? I use mine for inspo in most Remus fics because my screwed up hip is usually perfect for him, but I think I need something different for this. Any suggestions?
What should Remus' fake name be?
When they get to the castle, who should Coran be?
