Wow, I really did not read that screenshot that way. I didn’t read that as ‘men are lonely because women won’t date them’, I read it as ‘men are lonely because they’re uniquely socialised to not reach out when they need help’.

And ‘it’s not women’s job to fix it’ is such a bizarre take because it’s kinda up to everyone to fix sexism. We wouldn’t say it’s not men’s job to fix sexism against women. Everyone needs to do their part to unlearn social biases and do better, whether it’s unlearning biases about how women should be or unlearning biases about how men should be. It’s all the same thing, solving one helps solve the other.
