GOODBYE!

After a year and a half of being here and gaining close to 2,000 followers, I have decided to start a new. I am still keeping Selyn, but I am completely changing her background and making an entirely new Tumblr. I’ve met and wrote with so many great people here, but I’m unfortunately not going to be able to interact with many of the people due to the new AU I have decided to play out. 

I wanted to thank absolutely mun everyone who has ever written with me and every muse who has made an impact on Lottie, good or bad. You guys are all amazing people, and I highly suggest each of you to each other! Thank you all, again, from the bottom of my heart. The list of people in this are in no particular order, and I tried my best to include everyone, so I am so sorry if I accidentally left anyone out. Until next time!

Another morning, another day of practice. It felt like it had taken over her life as of lately. Get up, eat, exercise, practice, eat, practice, eat, sleep; and so on. Amber couldn’t, or wouldn’t complain though. This was - is - what she wanted. To be a dancer. And finally, finally, after years of struggling to get even the smallest of roles, here she was signed to a small dance group. So if achieving her dream meant that her social life would suffer a bit, then so be it. 

Amber walked into the building, only to find it deathly quiet, something that wasn’t unusual this early. In a tired haze she made her way to an open studio. Not feeling like setting this up and away yet, she simply set her her bag down by the door and made sure to make a mental note to move it later. She stretched her arms over her head, in an exaggerated yawn. Then she stopped mid step as she realized she wasn’t the first one there. 

“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t realize anyone was in here.”

Practice seemed to be the only thing that Selyn knew how to do these days. An alarm woke her up at roughly 5 A.M., to which she’d get up, eat, and head to the dance studio for a few hours, before going to the gym, lunch, vocal practice, and back to dance. It was torture, but it was necessary. 

So, once again, she found herself in the dance studio at the butt-crack of dawn. Headphones in, she was stretching in the corner on the far-end of the room. She was so focused (or was it tired) that she didn’t even notice the door open and another female walk in. It was only when her music faded out and she heard the other speak that she looked up from her stance, giving the stranger a warm welcome smile. 

“Ah, you’re fine. I’m just stretching. I have my own music and stuff so you can use the stereo--” She paused for a moment, tipping her head to the side. “Are you.. new? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you around here before.”

“Unnie. Are you really not going to share those ramyeons with me?” The female idol mumbles as she googles her eyes at the female’s feast scattered on the table. “How many times should I have to tell you that I am not on a diet.” 

“I don’t know if I can believe you.” She sighed dramatically, frowning down at all the food she had placed on the table in front of her and her friend. “That really sounds like something I would say if I was on a diet and really wanted to convince someone else that I wasn’t.” Selyn did her best to hide back her smile, having too much fun teasing the other. “How can I be so sure?”

The two had known each other since they were younger and had grown into a nice brother and sister friendship. This time though he was upset with the other for not telling him sooner of her plans to rejoin his company. He had to hear through rumors throughout the building and then confirm it by seeing her name added to their line-up. When they agreed to meet up for lunch he wasn’t sure how to bring it up. Maybe it was childish for him to be like this, but he thought they were at least a little closer than this. Arriving at the location a few moments early, he stood outside the building to keep his eyes out for her. His own thoughts on the matter making him laugh, maybe she was just going to tell him today and he found out too soon?  He wasn’t sure, but Joon was going to see if he could trick the other into paying since he did find out before she said anything. 

Things had been hectic for Selyn for quite a while. From work to her personal life, she seemed to have been forgetting things one after the other. One of them being Joon. Returning to TQ and seeing many familiar faces made her realize that she hadn’t been the best at keeping in contact with many of her friends from the company, although Joon was more of a childhood friend than just a company labelmate. She had called him up and asked to meet for lunch, and was more than happy when he agreed. She spotted him as she approached the building, a wide grin spreading over her features. She waved excitedly at him, her pace increasing to reach him quicker. “Joon! Hi! How are you?”

❛ Sorry to bother you but my friend was wondering if he could get a signature, ❜   he sighed,  rolling his eyes and glancing back at his coward of a friend.   He couldn’t understand why he was being forced to approach the girl and nearly scowled at her in his bad mood.     ❛ He’s right over there. ❜

“A signature?” The request caught Selyn a bit off guard. She was still getting used to the diffreneces between being a model and an idol. As a model, she was hardly approached for such things. A timid smile occupied her lips as she nodded a bit, glancing back at the stranger’s friend. “Oh-- of course. Uh.. Do you have any paper or anything I could write on?”

HE WAS WALKING LIKE AN OLD MAN? A scoff escaped Marion’s lips and, almost instantaneously, he came to a complete stop. It was almost as if he wanted to test the stranger’s anger, ignorant to the ever so bustling crowd the two found themselves emerged in, as he crossed his arms against his chest.

“If I walk like an old man, then perhaps I should not walk at all.” He quipped, expression smug as he remained still. “Dare I ask, are you always so churlish with every stranger that you meet? Rather than pestering me and making me waste my breath for something so childish, can you not just simply shove another to the side and get on with your life?”

It took everything for Selyn to not shove the stranger out of the way when he came to a stop. God, was he really pushing her buttons. Had she not already been in an agitated mood, she would have just simply rolled her eyes and continued her commute home. But, she was annoyed, and feeling petty.

She mirrored his stance and folded her own arms against her chest, looking up at him. She couldn’t help the annoyed smile that spread over her lips as he spoke. “Why are you talking like that? Do you teach a writing class fifteen hours a day? You sound like a pretentious douche bag.”

“I can’t see anything, can you please move.” Jinsung said with an annoyed tone in her voice to the female infront of her that was watching the theatre in the park. The park was rather crowded. She hadn’t seen so many people in one area before. But the fact that the female infront of her wouldn’t sit down mot of the time, really irritated her.

Selyn wasn’t one to have problems seeing things at events. She was quite tall compared to other girls, and the fact she wore heels for the majority of her time out of her house just made her even taller. She had been enjoying a show in the park when she heard a voice from behind her. She turned around, eyebrows raised as she saw a girl quite shorter than her standing, looking rather annoyed. “Oh-- I’m so sorry.’ She flashed an apologetic smile, stepping to the side. “Did you want to move in front of me?”

Beds were nice. As odd as it sounds, they were Lottie’s favorite thing. Soft. Bouncy. Used for sleeping. Cuddling. Warm. Safe. She loved everything about them. So it was only natural for her to get excited upon passing a mattress store in the mall. She dragged her friend in, an ecstatic smile occupying her lips. The other’s words didn’t do anything but encourage Lottie further, the twenty-one year old female giggling as she threw herself onto the nearest mattress display, her legs flinging upwards. “I might be!”

it’s obvious she doesn’t believe what the other was saying. coming to korea from hong kong, she’s experienced people making fun of her when she didn’t speak a lick of korean and even when she finally learned the language. her chinese accent always seemed to come out - which she hated, seeing as it didn’t when she spoke english. “save it,” daiyu says, crossing her arms. “i don’t trust you.”

Selyn took a moment to decide if she wanted to even bother with the conversation. She had apologized already for laughing. As she said, it was a laugh due to finding her accent cute and intriguing, not one meant to mock the other. But the girl seemed to not be having it. She was being... rude. She cleared her throat awkwardly, bringing a hand up to scratch at the back of her head. “Alright, I guess.”

-&&; ❛It… it did,❜ Hyojung’s gaze shot back and forth between the road and the fellow idol beside her. An arm extended sideways, pressed against the girl to prevent her from getting any closer to dropping down from the curb. ❛The taxi wasn’t paying attention – and neither were you, you gotta be careful next time.❜

Selyn’s heart felt like it was going to burst out of her chest. While walking with Hyojung, she had managed to slip on some ice, almost falling into the street where a taxi had been driving over the speed-limit and painfully close to the curb where she had slipped off. The mirror of the cab had managed to smack her arm, hard enough to hurt but not hard enough to require any sort of first aid. If it it hadn’t been for her friend reaching out to pull her back in time, a hospital trip would have been needed. Releasing a heavy exhale, Selyn flashed Hyo a timid smile. “Thanks..”

     Daehyun’s question was shocking to Selyn. She knew he wasn’t usually one to be outgoing when it came to strangers, so the fact he was offering, insisting, to go speak to a stranger that she had expressed an attraction to was surprising. She spoke in a somewhat frantic tone, not really all for the idea of him going to talk to the boy. “No-- Dae. I didn’t really mean that he needed to know how hot he was. You don’t need to tell him!”

The question shot by the female was rather out of the blue but something that he seemed to dwell over on. He wasn’t aware of the amount of feline pets she already possessed, however being one huge lover of kittens, Jongdae could never say no to a cat. “Hm, I think one can never have too many cats.” He started off, a wider smile covering his doubtful expressions. “So, the answer you’re looking for is a yes!” Clasping his hands in excitement, the male nodded his head for further confirmation but soon enough raising a brow as one other thing seemed to be getting in the way. “But… if I may ask, just how many cats do you own, already?”

Selyn smiled brightly at the thought of getting another cat. It was something she had wanted for a while, but still hadn’t gotten around to doing yet. The idea popped up in her head as she and Jongdae had been walking and passed a cat cafe. “I have two! But I really think I need a third.” She puffed her cheeks, pulling her phone out. “Maybe we should go to a shelter! We can play with them and you can help me pick one out to take home.”

“don’t laugh at my accent. that’s rude.” daiyu was insecure enough about it and she definitely didn’t need someone making fun of her for it. the girl was trying her hardest here, after all. “my korean isn’t perfect. i’m from hong kong and i’m still learning so i’d appreciate if you kept your opinions to yourself.”

selyn’s eyes widened at the sudden accusation that she had been making fun of daiyu’s accent. she quickly shook her head, an apologetic look finding its way onto her face. “no, no, no! i wasn’t laughing in a rude way. i think your accent is very cute. it was a happy laugh, i promise.” she did her best to flash a friendly smile, hoping it was convincing enough to the other.

to say she was transfixed by the other was an understatement, she’s met many celebrities but Lottie was one of the few that had her staring up in awe. maybe it was the way she moved so easily? whatever it was had naeun so distracted that a she accidentally pricked herself with a sewing needle in her hand, with a hiss from her lips, she immediately brings the injured hand to her mouth and exits the room. it wasn’t long until her head makes contact with another body, clearly it wasn’t someone built like a rock since she wasn’t writhing in pain but the impact did send the two of them on the ground, but nothing too bad. “oh – hi, sorry – your performance was really good, your new single was even better,” she couldn’t control she stupidty she felt. with the amount of idols she’s seen she should’ve been better at this but clearly she wasn’t.

it had been a while since lottie had been up on stage. she performed her debut single roughly three times before she ended promotions to focus on her health, so getting up on stage still caused her to get quite nervous. she had been contacted to perform one of her ballads at an end of the year special, a performance that went surprisingly smoothly. as she made her way off the stage and back down to one of the rooms where she could sit down, she bumped into someone a bit smaller than her. glancing down, she was getting ready to apologize when the girl suddenly complimented her. “oh-- oh gosh. thank you so much!” a bright, friendly smile appeared over her features, her hands lifting to set on her shoulders. “what’s your name?”
