Anyone considered that as well as updating versions they’re updating gimmicks in past life?

First session: fairly straightforward instead with 6 lives instead of 3. Thats 3rd life.

Second session: Added Boogeyman, but with a little change to allow for alliances to remain intact. Last life

And now we get into speculation

Third session: they roll soulmates, or perhaps get their health linked with another player of their choice. Double life

Fourth session: They get the ability to steal lives off of other players or their lives are converted into time which slowly runs out. Limited life

Fifth session: They get a task they have to complete this lesson for extra gear, if not they lose a life. Secret life.

Sixth session: They get a random modifier to the world. Wild life.

This is purely speculation but we’ll see if this theme continues. It would be interesting whether they stack or not as well. Would double life Boogey be shared between the pair? Would stealing time off someone you kill give you both sets of time for double, or would it be split between you and your soulmate? Would how much time would secret life tasks grant if you complete them assuming they keep regeneration?.

Alas, only time will tell. But whether or not they stack it will make for interesting dynamics going forwards. The real question is, if they get back to past life then will it loop again or will the world get fully reverted to a previous version or suddenly jump several versions forward.

This might sound like one of those “and then everyone clapped” stories, but it happened.

The last time someone tried to queerbash me, my wife and I were just walking home late at night after a quick run to the corner store. Portland, Oregon, blue state, West Coast, a place that prides itself on being “woke,” but also a place crawling with Nazis under the surface, even if no one wants to say it out loud.

A big van rolls up behind us, full of dudes who start following us, leering, trying to cut us off, trying to herd us somewhere, a van. A fucking van. Like some kind of fucking horror movie.

They get way too close, and one guy’s eyeballing me, asking if I’m really a guy, telling me I look like a girl. “Are you even a boy or a girl?” while I’m backing my wife up behind me, trying to shield her from the whole fucked-up scene.

And without thinking, because I’m made of sharp edges and anger and a cold unrelenting knowledge that violence can be the answer, a lesson I learned at 13-14 years old when I held a knife in my hand and told my ex stepfather that if I saw him in my home one more time I would slit his fucking rapist throat, the first thing out of my mouth was: “Ask your mom, and find out.” And I gotta say! they did not like that one bit.

I ended up backing my wife to the edge of a rocky side street, to grab the biggest rock I could find, the kind I knew I could swing hard. Then I started moving towards them, talking about how I was going to bash their fucking faces in.

And just like that, they backed off. Sped away like they’d seen a ghost.

That night wasn’t just some random scary moment. It was the moment that made me leave Oregon, a place that looks good on paper but falls apart once you've been there. I moved to New Mexico, a place that’s honestly safer, kinder, and friendlier to trans people.

Because sometimes, no matter where you are, you gotta move to survive.
