Meeting and Dating Edward Scissorhands
(Not my gif)(Requested by anonymous)
- You and Edward met when you first visited the house on the hill; whether you’d gone on your own or because your friends had dared you to all depends on the type of person you are.
- Nevertheless, there you were, standing in front of the gothic looking home and contemplating your potentially dumb decision. You took a deep breath, turned back to the row of colorful suburban houses and started your trek through the dilapidated property.
- The closer you came to the actually home, the more fascinated and determined you became. No one in your town had ever been where you were standing and the fact that you could very well be the first person inside of the dark home only spurred you on even further. And by the way the outside of it looked, you were more than excited to see the interior.
- Finally, you found yourself planted in front of the houses door, your hand raising as if to knock; as though anyone was home. Nevertheless, you knocked, the door pushing open as you did so, prompting you to call out as you stepped inside.
- You took in the interior of the house as you explored, moving room to room and up the stairs until you found yourself in the attic, staring out the large hole in the roof. It was there that you first heard it.
- Startled, you gasp and whip your head towards the noise, your eyes landing on the most fascinating and somewhat terrifying “person” you’d ever seen. For that very reason, you wound up standing there just looking at each other for a long, silent moment.
- As nervous and scared as you are, it’s obvious to see that he’s even more scared than you are, so you swallow, give him a small smile, and try your luck at speaking to him.
- The two of you talk for quite a while, you learning as much as you can about him and telling him a little about yourself before you realize that you should be getting home soon. You say goodbye, promise to return when he desperately asks if you will, and you make your way back down the hill.
- Initially, you’re fascinated by the boy; you also pity and sympathize with him so you find yourself stopping by the gothic mansion as much as you can. Although, you start off returning out of curiosity more than anything, you soon find yourself genuinely enjoying his company.
- You rarely go a day without seeing him, and you prefer it that way, which is why when you arrived at the house and found that he was gone, your stomach and heart dropped.
- It’s about a week or so later that you cross paths again, you’re walking home and hear your name being excitedly called. Surprised, you look up and find your lost friend across the street, waving his makeshift hand high in the air.
- Immediately, a smile spread across your face and you quickly crossed the street, greeting him and asking where he’d been. He explained what had happened and invited you inside to be introduced to Peg, who; after meeting you, told you that you were always welcome to come and visit whenever you wanted.
- You took the sweet woman up on her offer, visiting often and taking Edward out to see the town. It isn’t long after you reconnect that the two of you become official.
- One day, Edward subtly confesses that he cares for you, whether it be by showing you the extent of what he’d do for you, telling you that he loves you, calling you beautiful, or what have you.
- Regardless, it makes you smile and you just can’t help but carefully lean up and press your lips to his. You pull away and look into each others eyes, remaining silent for a moment before you finally tell him you love him.
- He quietly tells you that he loves you too and you carefully wrap your arms around each other, relishing in the beginning of your strange new love affair.
- Pda is pretty much nonexistent in your relationship, both because he doesn’t go out in public all that much and because affection, in general, is difficult for the two of you to accomplish.
- If there is affection happening between the two of you, 90% of the time it’s going to be you who’s doing it.
- Soft touches and caresses. Please hold his face in your hands; he loves it so much.
- Hugging him from behind. He loves feeling you pressed up against him and the fact that he can’t accidentally hurt you.
- Head kisses and gentle pecks.
- Sitting thigh to thigh when you’re together. He likes the subtle contact.
- He’s far too scared of potentially hurting you to try and cuddle with you so the two of you usually stick to maybe just laying in the same bed.
- He doesn’t use a ton of pet names himself but he does love hearing you use them. He’s never had someone call him sweetheart or honey before so it’s extra special to him whenever you do; especially after he hears Jim and Kim and everyone else use them with their significant others.
- He doesn’t purposefully do it but sometimes he’ll say something by so sweet and loving that it genuinely makes you want to cry. He’s just being sincere and saying how he wholeheartedly feels but god, if it isn’t the nicest thing anybody’s ever said to you.
- Always be careful about asking him to do something for you because he’ll do it, no questions asked, purely because it’s you who asked him to. You have an incredible amount of power over him, even if you don’t realize it.
- He sort of just does whatever you want to do. Wanna watch a stupid movie? Sure. Wanna go somewhere specific? Don’t have to ask him twice. He’s just happy to make you happy.
- He really likes pets so if you have them, just know that he loves them; even if he really can’t touch them. Whether it’s your cat on his lap, your dog by his side, your bird on his shoulder or your fish on a bowl on the table in front of him, he likes their company equally.
- Letting him cut your hair; if you don’t really care about what it looks like.
- Brushing his hair out of his eyes for him.
- Helping him get dressed, and do whatever else may be difficult when you have literal blades for fingers.
- Stargazing out of the mansions roof.
- Short and quiet conversations.
- He loves listening to you talk. It doesn’t even matter what you’re talking about. You could ramble about nothing at all and he’d still happily listen.
- He’s sort of a silent observer to your daily routine most of the time. He’s just always by your side or somewhere in the room, watching you go about your day and keeping you company.
- He sort of doesn’t know what to do when you’re not around, or when Peg isn’t asking him to do something. He’s constantly eagerly awaiting your next arrival and feeling over the moon when you finally return. You’ve always got someone happy to see you and waiting to greet you when you’re walking home from school.
- Helping him get used to people and the usual normality’s of life in Florida.
- Planting flowers in the hill house garden and tidying up the place for him.
- Whenever he’s trimming hedges or bushes, he’ll very carefully pick up any flowers he’s had to cut and give them to you.
- Having ice sculptures and hedges shaped in your image.
- Bringing over different things for the two of you to do when he moves back into his gothic mansion. He’s not the best at playing board games and things like that but you’re determined to find something.
- You spend a lot of time in the gothic mansion. You probably wind up moving into the place with him after everything turns sour between him and the townspeople.
- Being wholeheartedly welcomed by Peg.
- He has your picture next to his bed. Peg probably framed it for him and delicately placed it there with one of her sweet little motherly smiles. God I love that woman.
- Somewhat shepherding him around whenever you’re out in public together. He gets distracted by things he’s never seen before, and can obviously get lost fairly easily, so you gotta keep a bit of an eye on him.
- Helping him experience new things; things he can safely experience around others or on his own.
- Not caring about how other people view him. People are always gonna look at him and see a strange individual who probably doesn’t seem to fit into the role of your boyfriend, but you just ignore them and proudly flaunt your relationship.
- Always defending him and making sure that people don’t take advantage of his naivety and kindness.
- He’s a pretty jealous person but a big part of it is his own insecurity and because of that, he’ll usually suffer in silence. He’ll never get upset with you, because he knows that it’s not your fault, but he can’t help but feel bad when he sees you feeling so happy with other people or watching someone take interest in you.
- He’ll usually end up masochistically watching from afar or trying to get you away from them; it all depends on the situation.
- Expect him to be amazed if you ever get jealous over him. He’s fascinated that you could ever love him and/or think that anyone could ever compare to you. Regardless of who they are and how many clothes they take off, he only ever has eyes for you.
- He’s willing to do anything for you, even kill for you; though it probably won’t be on purpose. He can’t stand the thought of you; his person, being hurt or upset so of course he’s going to be protective. He’ll wind up sitting outside your room or on the edge of your bed until you feel better and want to talk. And he’ll definitely try his best to defend you if or whenever someone confronts the two of you.
- Could you even manage to argue with this man? It’s like arguing with a newborn puppy who has never done anything wrong in its entire life. Seriously, expect maybe one fight in your entire relationship; if that.
- I think you’d just sort of leave if you had an argument, which leaves him to sit around and worry and wait for you to come back, hoping that he hasn’t ruined your entire relationship.
- He doesn’t tell you that he loves you very often but he loves hearing you say it. And because he doesn’t say it very often, it always feels really special whenever he does say it.
- Being in a relationship with Edward is definitely going to be difficult but I’d be lying if I told you it wasn’t worth it.
