âIâm the luckiest girl in the world. Iâve gotten to be a princess, Iâve gotten to work with the Muppets. A lot of my childhood dreams about who I wanted to be when I was a grown-up, I at least get to play them in movies.â Happy Birthday, Amy Adams! (August 20th, 1974)
Sutton: So, gang, are we ready to rock?
Jane: No.
Alex: Not particularly.

this is cool but why is it shot like the intro credits of a crime drama
âŚDessert, but shot like Murder. I think Iâve found my favorite aesthetic ever.

This post got so much better since the last time I reblogged it omg!!!
oh my god!!!!
That mountain didnât not know who it was fucking with.
at this point you are just showing off.
How? How is it fucking possible to make stone look sheer?
Iâve loved some of these for a very long time. Iâm glad someone compiled them.
Iâve been lucky enough to see the David in person and y'all, the pictures literally do not do it any justice. Itâs so immaculately carved that it literally looks like a marble white man standing there. I literally stood there for 5 solid minutes just staring at it before my mom pushed me and told me to go around the whole statue and look at it from every angle. I spent 30 minutes just walking circles around it, staring in wonder. I just, I canât even describe the wonder of looking at it in person. Itâs incredible.
me externally: lit teachers arent pulling text analysis out of their asses
me internally: the reason people and especially students like to blame English for seemingly making up meanings where they cant see it is because literature is an art and art is widely regarded as âeasyâ, âanyone can do thatâ, âits stupid and uselessâ unlike math and science which are widely regarded as difficult but important subjects so while students will readily admit that they have trouble with math or science theyâre more likely to shift the blame when they dont understand a more artistic subject, seeing it as a sign of weakness that they dont get something thats supposed to be dumb and easy rather than seeing it as an important topic thatâs just as crucial to their knowledge as any stem subject and just as difficult and in-depth as any math or science can beÂ

i just read a washington post article on romcoms aging poorly due to the pushiness (and oft-stalkery conduct) of the male characters therein, and it got me thinking about pride and prejudice, and specifically darcy saying, âone word from you will silence me on this subject forever.â
because, like, thatâs the seldom-portrayed romantic dream in the patriarchal hellscape that is our world, isnât it?
a dude being willing to say, âi understand if you donât feel the same way about me, and iâll leave you alone forever about this if my attention is unwanted.â
so simple, yet so wonderful in its basic human decency
and dudes to this day wonder why women still swoon over darcy
My kink is faithful and belligerent use of the Oxford comma.

âOn Friday, July 27, the full moon passed through the shadow of the Earth for 103 minutes. It was the longest âblood moonâ lunar eclipse of the century, as the moon turned red in the shadow of the Earth for nearly two hours.â
