Need to yap about the ace attorney OC me and my friend have been making
It all stems from this dnd character I made who was a lawyer I cleverly named; ‘Phoenix Wrongg’…. Part of this character was that his place of origin solved every court case by a fight to the death.
This later evolved into ‘Pigeon Wrongg’, a prosecutor who HATESSS Phoenix for no good reason, and punches him during court. Like how Godot and Francheska throw things or whip Phoenix, Pigeon resorts to violence.
Additionally; we also had the idea that when he’s close to breaking or loosing during court he hits the desk hard enough to crack it and maybe break it?
Also; Pigeon is no way related to Phoenix, he’s just some guy that looks oddly similar to Phoenix but shares no bloodlines at all.
And obviously, since Pigeon talks with his fists, it ends up that he spends a LOT of time with Gumshoe… so much so that occasionally Gumshoe feels the need to handcuff Pigeon to him to keep him in check.
*cough* *cough* gumshoe x pigeon is real *cough* *cough*
But also; Pigeon somehow gets out of the handcuffs everytime. Some type of Houdini shit
Our biggest idea for Gumshoe and Pigeon was that their dynamic was like… sunshine/grumpy, maybe vaguely guard dog/owner?
Pigeon is 100% an overprotective bf btw… Someone flirts with Gumshoe once and Pigeon lets out a little growl…. He doesn’t live it down for YEARS.
For angst we had the idea that maybe Pigeon accidentally hits Gumshoe, could be that Gumshoe tried to stop Pigeon from hitting someone or something like that we’re not sure. But for the month afterwards, Pigeon gets sappy and exclusively cooks Gumshoes favourite meals nothing else, gets flowers etc because he feels so horrifically guilty.
During this month he doesn’t even punch Phoenix. After the month is over its on sight.
During arguments Gumshoe brings up the paperwork he needs to fill out because of Pigeons punching habit and instantly wins.
Hoatzin Wrongg and Rhea Wrongg are both named after some of the oldest living bird species.
Then we thought; hey, why not name the second generation after extinct birds?
Unfortunately I couldn’t find any extinct corvids that I liked the name of so his Jackdaw is the odd one out 😔
But also!!! Wren-Lyall is named after the extinct Lyall-Wren species from New Zealand, and her children are species of birds from New Zealand.
Jackdaw and his son Crow are both corvids obviously.
Meanwhile; Pigeons father is named ‘Dodo’ because the Dodos closest living relatives are Pigeons. And obviously Pigeons, Doves and Sand-Grouses are all from the same family. Pigeon and Doves mother is also an extinct species of bird whereas Sandys mother is a Robin which is still alive :]]
And don’t worry, we do have an idea for a case where Phoenix needs to defend Pigeon.
