i don't care what those tiktok and instagram influencers tell you, have three meals a day!!! have a snack!! have that sweet treat!! have food that makes you feel good!!! especially if you're a woman!! starving yourself to look "desirable" will only make you desirable to people who want you to stay malnourished forever. it's a cycle of misery!!
I need everyone to be talking about how Qween Jean, a Black trans woman (founder of Black Trans Liberation Kitchen!) won a fucking Tony last night, first openly trans person to do it!!
this^ gif choice is even more perfect cause the moment immediately after looks like this:
yeah sure. crazy gay destiel sex be upon ye i guess happy pride

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
I want my gay rights now! - Marsha P. Johnson (NYC Pride Parade, 1973)
Stole this from somewhere but i think it’s appropriate
Not my house, but I’d know my way around
You can't control someone else's experiences
You can't control someone else's brain
You can't control someone else's identity
People understand themselves better than you do
There will be people who are massively different than you who don't conceptualize what they feel or experience the same way you do, and that's ok
You gotta build a tolerance for not understanding people. And sometimes there are things that aren't meant for you to understand
For those who have missed it, a tourist in Hawaii decided it would be fun to chuck a rock (a BIG rock) at a monk seal. He missed, but he was captured on video, and when told it was illegal to interfere with them, said "I'm rich, I can pay the fine."
Is the best part that he got doxxed? No.
Is the best part that he got tracked down by a local and beaten? No.
Arrested on state at federal charges, looking at up to 5 years and 50K? Nope.
The best part is the local city council's reaction.
And the best part of that is the look on the attorney's face.
More of this please, everywhere.
After the incident, another video went viral showing what appeared to be that man getting a beating. The Maui Police Department said they had no record of any reports of disorderly conduct or assault related to the monk seal incident.
Even the local police are being cool about this.
For anybody not caught up: Tennessee just passed a new map that pretty much makes it so black neighborhoods have no power in local votes. Two things about this. While protestors were chanting "No Jim Crow", white Tennessee lawmakers were caught laughing on video. On top of this, Representative Justin Pearson and his brother KeShaun Pearson were arrested for trying to give their takes on the matter (which is not only their legal right but literally his job). If you give a shit about black people, help fight this. We can't allow a return to Jim Crow.
Heyyy guess where I live
A local paper had some great photographs, all taken by Nicole Hester:
The day before, Rep. Justin Pearson tries to attend a Senate Committee meeting and is barred access by the Sergeant at Arms.
Lawmakers and protesters link arms as the descend the capitol steps.
Once inside the chamber, Democratic representatives continued to stand together with arms linked.
They continued standing together with arms linked as votes were cast.
Democratic representatives take a group photo protesting the redistricting.
Rep. Justin Jones burns a photo of the Confederate flag with the words, We will not go back.
And stomps the ashes.
KeShaun Pearson being escorted from the building by the Staties.
KeShaun Pearson (left) being taken into custody. Rep. Justin Pearson (right) showing his support of his brother.
Additional information: State lawmakers have been gunning for Pearson and Jones nearly their entire terms. Most notably, in 2023, the House expelled them for participating in a protest at the Capitol. Their districts had to have special elections to have them reinstated.
Pearson is one of the plaintiffs of a lawsuit seeking an injunction against the redistricting.
The city most affected by the redistricting is Memphis, where locals are fighting against xAI's data center, which has been operating with very little oversight and is poisoning the people who live there. Here is a previous post on that with more information and more sources.
"God never gives you more than you can handle" is survivorship bias. People who got more than they could handle are dead.
Oh, dear. I can't reblog that fast enough.
Little signs you are healing (even if it doesn’t feel like it):
You pause before reacting, even if it’s just for a second.
You notice your thoughts instead of immediately believing all of them.
You have moments, small, quiet ones where things feel a little lighter, even if they don’t last long.
You are starting to recognize what hurts you, even if you don’t know how to fix it yet.
You come back to yourself a little faster than you used to.
You let yourself rest sometimes, without as much guilt.
You are more aware of what you need, even if you struggle to give it to yourself.
You are trying. Even on the days where it feels like you are failing, you are still here, still moving through it.
You have days that feel okay, and instead of them feeling impossible, they feel… real, even if unfamiliar.
You are learning that not every thought deserves your attention.
You are still hurting sometimes, but it doesn’t feel exactly the same as before.
Healing doesn’t always look like big changes.
Sometimes it looks like this, small shifts, quiet awareness, softer moments that come and go.
And even if it doesn’t feel like progress, it is.
You are not stuck in the exact same place you were before.
Something in you is changing.
Even if it’s slow. Even if it’s subtle.
It still counts.
Scientists at Cortical Labs have successfully trained a cluster of approximately 200,000 living human neurons, grown on a microelectrode array chip, to play the classic 3D video game DOOM.
