So... Last night.

First, what amazing performances from the cast this episode, I'm truly grateful that they have chosen to share their dnd game with us. Regardless of what character choices they make I will always love the cast and their devotion to this silly little game we've all fallen head over heels for.

Second, I want to reach out to my friendos on the other side of the shipping fence and just say I am both excited and happy for you guys. It's a great feeling seeing your ship become canon especially since most Fjoresters have been waiting since the very beginning of this campaign. 2020 has been a rough year and I'm glad that you guys can take something positive away from it. And despite us shipping different characters, at the end of the day I love you guys too. Because we are all comrades in arms bonded together by our love for this show. To care about something so passionately is a beautiful thing.

Lastly... My fellow widojesters... I understand it's disappointing. It aches, I know, and some of you even are of the opinion that this has tainted the show permanently. I want you to know that your feelings are valid, you've invested so many hours into this show and seeing something not turn out the way you had hoped can be painful. However, I encourage you to take a break from it, give yourself time to step away and process, and try again at a later date. The cast puts so much effort into this show for our sake and it would be a shame if we threw that away because we didn't get our way. Love you guys.

he’s mirroring! cats do that to be social that’s also why they will lie on laptops or books. they want to do what their humans are doing because they enjoy being in the same room and socializing that way. getting him his own prayer mat was a really good idea bc now he gets to mirror without being in the way!

The other thing is that cats have a very good sense of time and tend to like regular schedules. If OP’s family members pray every day at the same times, in the same place, the cat knows the drill and probably considers this an official Household Activity which requires Feline Supervision.

My low-key favorite bit/ running gag in campaign 2 has been Caleb canonically knowing the names of the thousands of fey cats that reside in his magic tower.

Pay close attention to Jester's hands during the storybook interaction.

At the beginning of the encounter she keeps them close to her chest. Even when gesturing, which is unlike her. She usually gesticulates wildly when she speaks but here, alone with Caleb, she keeps her cards close to her chest. Shy. Nervous. Standing in front of one of the only people who actually sees her.

As she comes in, sits down, and listens to the story she slowly let's down her hands, too enamoured with the story (and Caleb) to think about being shy.

After finishing the story her gesturing returns. It is softer and gentler than usual but no longer held close to the chest rather it's more open and directed towards Caleb.

And finally when she is given the book back, we come full circle. She clutches the book to her chest, smiling. This time, rather than trying to keep people out, her hands show she has decided to let someone in.

So as Caleb reads her a story, Jester's telling a small story of her own. The ongoing tale of how a princely cat lover continues to dance his way into her heart.
