A tiny green alien grabs a woodsman's axe with its stubby fingerless nub arms. The axe is nearly three times it's height. It todders towards you, struggling to stay upright. It gets a running start, and throws every ounce of its bodyweight into the swing. The axe hits home, and hacks about 80% through the toes on your left foot. As you collapse from the pain, the little green alien runs in circles.
it bothers me that you often don't really hear about people having a "favorite album" the way they might have a favorite movie or favorite video game
fuck it. reblog this and tell me in the tags what your favorite album is

some letterboxd accounts I see either have three, none, or all four filled, so I thought it would be an interesting poll.

mine are: nosferatu (1922), green room (2015), metropolis (1927), and fantastic mr fox (2009)

If anyone is still participating in boycotting, I’d like to recommend an app. It’s called No Thanks and developed by a Palestinian.
It’s very user friendly and allows you to search or barcode scan products.
If you’re not keen on downloading anything, there’s also a website called bdnaash.com that has similar functions.
Stay decent and and always, free Palestine

They Do Not Exist (1974) by Mustafa Abu Ali (watch)
from PalestineCinema.com:
Salvaged from the ruins of Beirut after 1982, Abu Ali's early film has only recently been made available. Shooting under extraordinary conditions, the director, who worked with Godard on his Ici et Ailleurs (Here and Elsewhere), and founded the PLO's film division, covers conditions in Lebanon's refugee camps, the effects of Israeli bombardments, and the lives of guerrillas in training camps. They Do Not Exist is a stylistically unique work which demonstrates the intersection between the political and the aesthetic. Now recognised as a cornerstone in the development of Palestinian cinema, the film only received its Palestine premiere in 2003, when a group of Palestinian artists "smuggled" the director to a makeshift cinema in his hometown of Jerusalem (into which Israel bars his entry). Abu Ali, who saw his film for the first time in 20 years at this clandestine event noted: "We used to say 'Art for the Struggle', now it's 'Struggle for the Art'"
