warnings: jealousy, possessive daniel, slight cursing words
IT HAD BEEN raining for hours now, the steady patter of water against Daniel's raincoat long since faded to a dull rush in the back of his mind. The thick hair was almost soaked through. He didn't know if it would ever be dry again.
He tramped his way along the rutted, muddy paddock in irritated silence when he spotted the familiar magnetic figure of you talking with some strange guy.
He was tall, and his shoulders were so broad. He was almost identical to a Dorito, Daniel thought to himself.
What was he even talking to you?
Daniel titled his head to the right, a sour expression drawn on his facial features. His lips tightened and his eyes narrowed as he crossed his arms.
A few feet away, Max observed Daniel from afar, rushing to him with an umbrella in his left hand.
"Hey, mate," Max was panting. Daniel's eyed still remained focused on you and the golden-haired man.
A piercing gust of wind shook the trees above Daniel's head, showering his already miserable frame with a fresh deluge. He wiped the water from his eyes with a wet sleeve and tucked a lock of his long brown hair back under the protection of his hood.
His eyes darkened as your eyes glanced at him and Max under the umbrella for a brief moment.
Max kept talking next to the Australian driver, even though Daniel hadn't heard a single thing of what he'd said.
"Who's that guy?" Max asked, now gaining Daniel's full attention. "He doesn't seem her type at all." He added, commenting and peering at his friend to observe his reaction at his upcoming words. "He is so... so blond."
Daniel laughed.
Everybody freaking knew you were a sucker for dark-haired men and claimed that you'd never be into a blond guy. Ever.
"Yeah," Daniel looked up as a thunder crackled like shots from a cannon, sending flickering flashes. His face flashed with color. Pure jealousy. "And he's also dead."
