I wanted to make a quick sketch, but I ended up digging way too deep into it. His body type isn’t canon at all. I was scrolling through Pinterest, saw a guy with a softer build, and suddenly really wanted to draw someone like that — and for some reason Capitano was the first one who came to mind.

I don’t even play Genshin, but I really love the Harbingers’ designs.

I also spent a ton of time painting his “face,” but after the final render you can’t see any of it

The more I love a character, the harder it is to draw them. Book characters are especially difficult. I guess I just start expecting too much from myself

Recently, his song played randomly in my playlist, and I felt like drawing something with him. Presenting to you the main sexy man of Tumblr in the 2010s, The Once-ler ("The Lorax"). I literally fell in love with him as a kid after hearing this song. He was just so charismatic there. And in general, how often do we see a story, especially in cartoons, where the main character (at least in the first half) from whose perspective the story is told, becomes the villain? Not because of some loss, but simply due to the weakness of their character and the desire to gain recognition from their family. I can't even think of another example of this.
