Warm-up Sketch

honestly as a system i feel so much sympathy for kai and i really hope that the comic acknowledges that he didn't do anything evil or bad, he just fucked up bc he was scared. he's only as 'bad' as any of the warren is and i feel like a lot of folks reading the comic are viewing the warren as perfect and good and kai as evil when like. honestly he reacted very normally for a teenager being outed to his extremely queerphobic parents by his boyfriend who wont admit theyre dating. both of them are kids who are going through a ton, kai more so

Honestly I'm actually seeing more of the OPPOSITE. I'm seeing a lot of people who think the Warren/Percy are kinda evil and Kai did absolutely nothing wrong. While I don't mind readers picking sides at all, I'd say the only real thing either of these kids did "wrong" was... put their hands on each other. Neither scenario, be it the fight over the outing or the fight at the mall, warranted violence. Other than that people seem to understand Percy, and they seem to understand Kai, and I'm very happy about that! Kai has more readership support than you know.

I don't know who it is on the crew who really likes Salvador Dalí and specifically The Persistence of Memory, but Pic Pong is the second time I've noticed an homage to it on Game Changer, with the first being Ally's room in Ratfish, and they're real neat.
